I thikn im the only person in OHIO that doesnt like that show, I just cant watch it for an extended period of time. It seems like there are too many yahoo callers. Gottla appreciate Bruce's love for c town though.

I'm with you. I think Bruce Drennan is a blabbering idiot. He doesn't even make sense half the time. He's kind of like a Rome-clone in that he just talks and talks until he believes he actually strings together logical thoughts. He can't even get his facts straight. I'll admit that there are a number of idiots who call into that show, but I was watching one episode right after Phil's post-season presser when he announced that they'd like to resign DA. A guy called in and asked Bruce why he felt the need to keep BOTH DA and Quinn on the roster. Bruce gasped and said something to the effect of "show me one team in the NFL that does not carry three quarterbacks." The caller responded politely "Actually, I think the Patriots only carry two with Brady and Matt Kassel." Bruce interrupted and got all bothered that the caller was right and said "well, now you're just talking semantics" and hung up on the guy. How anyone can sit and watch some overweight blowhard shout this and that and hang up on callers is absolutely amazing to me. I've never watched the show again. Get Jimmy D and Deik on there to talk sports and get rid of Bruce 'I wish I was on ESPN' Drennan. He's terrible. STO's answer to filling 24/7 programming... this Drennan guy is amazing! He'll talk for hours!

Many of us will remember Pete Franklin, may God rest his soul. but Bruce has kinda taken his personnality somewhat, and NO I'm not comparing them at all just saying thier styles are somewhat simular,

I'd rather watch Bruce than Hannah montana or suit life of zach & cody or even 90% of the new shows they have on TV....

I can't stand Bruce's lack of knowledge and understanding...

1st thing that comes to mind is the 3-4 defense. Caller says we need smaller guys on the line... guys that can get to the QB. Why is it that our defensive line all weigh over 300 pounds? Bruce agrees and throws out some names the biggest (size wise and closest to 3-4 end) was Julius Peppers. Neither he, nor the caller, understand the concept of the 3-4.

The thing that gets to me the most if the Derek Anderson/Brady Quinn tracker and whenever Quinn is suggested as next year's QB he goes insane and often cuts the caller's off before giving them a chance to defend themselves. Bruce says don't trade Anderson because all your talent comes from Free Agency so therefore the 1st and 3rd we could get mean nothing. Tell that to Edwards, Winslow, Thomas, Wimbley, Jackson, and so on... Also, he mentions Anderson's contract talks and restricted status and his stats from last season. He emphasizes Savage's presser where he says that they are keeping both QB's... Never once does he acknowledge the possiblity of this being a smoke screen and not once does he think that to see Anderson in a Browns uni next year we have to either come to an agreement with him or franchise him. Maybe I'm the one that's wrong here, but if Anderson and his agent don't want to deal with a city that clearly wants Quinn and feels they can get more money than the Browns are willing to offer elsewhere and reject every offer... the Browns will have to tender Anderson. IMO, if it comes to this... Anderson will not be in Cleveland next year because some team will pick him up for the 1st and 3rd and we won't match. Bruce can say all he wants about Anderson being a lock for the starting QB next year and talk up his stats and knock on Quinn, but if the FO and his Anderson are coming to an agreement on something... chances are he is gone.

Bruce seems to know his stuff when it comes to the Tribe and that's when I mostly check out the show... I'll probably continue to watch the show every now and then, catching pieces of it, but I'll likely never be satisfied.

I think i know what show your talkin when you said Bruce talked about DEs in the 3-4 but Bruce didn't say he wanted light DEs he just said that all our DEs are 325lbs plus and don't have alot of quickness and agility and he'd like to see us get some guys a little lighter (295lbs plus) with some quickness so that they can hold up against the double teams but also penetrate into the backfield and make plays behind the line. Peppers name was mentioned but even Bruce said he didn't know if Peppers would be able to play in a 3-4.

As far as Anderson i don't understand what you mean by Franchise him, he's a Restricted FA so he doesn't get Franchised. We just have to offer him a restricted FA contract and he either plays for that or tries to get a better deal from another team which we can either match or get draft picks in return depending on what level of a contract we offered.

I honestly don't know what's more absurd...Bruce Drennen and his pompous attitude or Mike Trivi-fatslob calling himself the Jesus of Cleveland. I feel sorry for anyone in this town who treats anything they say as gospel. Those two are the main reason I no longer listen to talk radio anymore...along with Rush Limbaugh.

I think this was the show, but if I remember correctly the caller was throwing a bunch of names out there such as Pepper, Freeney, Taylor, etc and Bruce was agreeing. With Anderson... were talking a long term contract here... if he is wanting Shaub type money... were not gonna give that to him. Therefore, we'll high tender him. Another team will pick him up and we won't match. I was wrong about the franchise tag..forgot only available to UFA... but I still feel Bruce is failing to realize that Anderson may not be here since he's been said to be the starting QB next year. Therefore, whenever a caller wants to talk about Quinn being the starter next here it seems as if he cuts them off and says mentions Savages presser.

I get the channel, sometimes I will turn it on to see what he has to say.

The call-in TV sports talk show just does not translate well to TV. I could turn off the picture and have the same feeling, all they do is re-run generic clips of the Browns taking from the "public domain" area of the games, because they do not want to pay for the re-boradcast to the team.

They do tend to show Indians and Cavs highlights, but that is because they are connected.
