December 26th we learned that my step-grandson has Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). He's 17 and a really great, sweet kid who is spiritually a real fighter and tough as nails. The success rate for recovery is 75% for the Michigan Group, (who's care he is under,) so we are sure he will beat this thing. He is home now, and off the steroids, enduring chemo treatments once a week. I know how loving and caring everyone on this board can be, and everyone in our family are big believers in the power of prayer so I'm asking for your good thoughts and prayers for Jeffery Dennis of Bowling Green, we call him Jake, (I call him Spike). Spike, my family and I thank you all in advance!

Tell him to stay tough! I truly believe a positive outlook on things like this can make a huge difference! We're all pulling for him!

My daughters friend was diagnosed with this at the age of 10. The doctor said it was one of the worse cases he had seen, and his prognosis was pretty grim at the time.

He's 19 years old now, and has been cancer free for 5 or 6 years. Miracles do happen...keep the faith.

What i feel in my heart cant be descibed by science but only by the one who installed his spirit and what i feel. With all that being said....my prayers and deepest of faith will go out to your grandson.

Aren’t you glad that God is a healer! It doesn’t matter what is “broken” in your life today, God’s nature is to bring you complete healing. Do you need healing in your body? Your mind? Heart? Finances? Relationships? God is your healer. Notice what the Psalmist says in this verse: He binds up their wounds. In the natural, if you have a broken arm, it doesn’t just heal over night. The doctor makes a cast to hold it in place and protect it. He binds up your wound. In the spiritual realm, God does the same thing. He wraps Himself around your brokenness and protects the wounded area until it is strong enough to function properly again. The Bible also says that He is a restorer. That means that when He does a work of healing in our lives, He makes us better than we were before. If you’re going through the healing process today, know this: it may take longer than you planned, but God is binding up your wound. He is protecting you and healing you. He will bring you out better and stronger than you were before. He will take you to a place of complete healing so that you can live the life of victory He has in store for you.

I really can not adequately express how much your thoughts, kind words, prayers and words of inspiration mean to us. Just please know that we appreciate each and everyone of you and can't thank you enough for putting your positive energy out there for us.

Spike is doing well, he had a bone marrow test yesterday which takes a lot out of him making him a little tired (but the cell count seems to be improving) and being taken off the steroids have left his muscles sore, but he is in great spirits and really appreciates your outpouring of kindness and support.
