I think it's obvious. Look at the facts. Brady is hanging out in the gayest part of a city with a large gay population. He grew up near this city so of course he knows where the gay bars are located. So he stands outside with a bunch of dudes waiting for gay men to walk by so that he can yell gay slurs at them. Brady Quinn is obviously not secure with his own sexuality and is taking it out on other gay men because he knows that if he is outed he could lose the respect of his teammates. No straight guy with millions of dollars would spend his new years standing around in a gay neighborhood looking for fights unless he really had issues. I'm calling it right now, Brady Quinn will come out of the closet someday and this may be many years from now but i guarantee it will happen.

omg I cannot believe you just went there. That was some seriously funny stuff. Can't deny that thought did rip through my mind too. What is this upperclass rich kid doing in the gay bar district? Is there something he's not telling us?

Yup! I've gone to gay bars myself.
That, and the Short North isn't strictly gay. There are a TON of really good restaraunts around there and it is reported that he went to a Mexican place for dinner. Not saying he's not gay, not saying he is. Frankly, it doesn't matter and is not the point of this story.
This story is, at best, inconsistent. We'll see what happens over time.

I'm not real familiar with C-bus, but I ended up in a gay bar down there for about 5 seconds before I realized where I was and that it was karaoke night. For those familiar, it was near the bar Hang 10.

NRTU Just heard the statement from Quinn on the radio. He said that he and his wife were out with other couples that evening for dinner. He said he had no interaction with these people. No altercation with the police. He was no way involved in this report. He said that it was either a lie or a case of mistaken identity. The team had looked into the situation and claimed that the accusations were made without merit and stand behind Quinn 100%. Funny how so many people were so quick to judge him based on an accustion without any proof.  There is always 2 sides to a story. Try to hear both sides before you pass judgement.

If you go back and read, not many were actually judging him. They said "if this is true" etc. There were a few that judged, but the majority were doing a what if scenario.

Browns' Quinn denies New Year's altercation outside restaurant CLEVELAND (AP) -- Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn denied that he was involved in an altercation on New Year's Day in which a man claimed on an emergency phone call that Quinn made a slur at him. On a 911 call early Jan. 1, Seth Harris told Columbus police that Quinn was with a group at La Fogata Grill and that they were insulting gays outside the restaurant. "There's a group of football players, Brady Quinn from the Browns ... and he's trying to cause a fight," Harris told the operator. "His friends are yelling at all of the gay people that are around here." Harris said he had a verbal exchange with Quinn. In a statement released Wednesday through the Browns, Quinn said he had dinner on New Year's Eve with his girlfriend and other couples but that nothing else happened. "At no time that night was I involved in a verbal or physical altercation, nor did I have any interaction with the police," Quinn said in the statement. "I want to be clear that I did not engage in any of the alleged conduct, nor did I make inappropriate comments to anyone. "Any allegations to the contrary are either untrue or the result of misidentification." However, Columbus police said when they arrived Quinn was arguing with 32-year-old Jason Thompson. Quinn's friends encouraged him to step back from the situation and he did, police spokeswoman Amanda Ford said. She added that police did not hear any comments made at the scene and couldn't confirm Harris' statements on the 911 call. "We don't know what that argument was about," Ford said. After Quinn backed off, Thompson turned his aggression on officers and he was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct, Ford said. The Browns issued a statement backing Quinn, their former first-round draft pick who played in just one game as a rookie. "We are aware of the alleged comments made by Brady Quinn, which the Browns take seriously," the club's statement said. "After speaking with Brady and his representatives we find these reported accusations without merit."
