Here it is... Top 100 Prospects The Indians still aren't getting any love. Cleveland only has three players on the list. (Adam Miller at 29, Chuck Lofgren at 71, and Beau Mills at 87) I'm not a member so I can't get the breakdown, but it seems as if Cleveland may be the team with the least amount of prospects on the list. I'm completely shocked to not find Nick Weglarz on that list. I'm also surprised that Jordan Brown has went relatively unnoticed throughout the prospect world. The kid could end up in Cleveland sometime this year if he can play Leftfield and continue the tear he's been on for the past two seasons.

Looks like 5 Reds made the list, Bruce, Bailey, Cueto, Votto, and Stubbs.

What was surprising is that they said Lofgren's expected time of arrival was in 2008. I don't see Lofgren getting time in the Majors this year. Next year... maybe since we could potentially lose CC, Byrd, and one of the 3 battling for the #5 spot (unless that happens this year)

Beau Mills at 87
Isn't 87 a little old to be considered a baseball prospect?

Yeah, I dont see them rushing him at all, we have a ton of depth at SP with Miller still waiting to make his debut.

I really like Chuck Lofgren and fully expect him to bounce back and establish himself as one of the premier pitching prospects in baseball. He's smart and has good stuff, including one of the higher rated change-ups in the minors.
I'm not surprised on Weglarz because this is BA, not Baseball Prospectus. To those of us who look more closely at stats, Weglarz makes us drool to be putting up the numbers he is at 19. However, BA tends to take a little longer to come around on guys like that. If he puts up anywhere near similar numbers at Kinston this year, he'll rise pretty quickly up these lists.
The guy I'm a little surprised about not making the 100 is Wes Hodges. A college 3B, has put up good numbers at each stop, projects well, etc. I figured he'd sneak in on the list somewhere. I'd probably have him ahead of Mills, quite honestly.

I wouldn't get too bent out of shape about the top 100 prospects. Just consider the Math. 30 teams, 100 players, the average would be right around 3 per team.
Plus, projecting baseball talent is pretty hit and miss until they break in to the majors. Many of these guys won't do squat at the major league level while other lesser known prospects break through and become mainstays. Until we see any of these players against the best of the best, it's just an educated guess. The jump from minors to majors is a huge one.

I can't wait to see what Adam Miller does. I love having a first class farm system. Back in the 80's when I was a kid it was a joke pretty much. now we are like a baseball factory for talent
Our honor defend, we will fight to the end, for OHIO! GO BUCKS!
