Packers' Williams headed to Cleveland
Packers defensive end Corey Williams was surprised a week ago when he was slapped with the franchise tag. All it meant was that he was going to a new franchise. Once the trade deadline begins, Williams is reportedly going to the Browns for a draft choice -- possibly a second-rounder -- and sign a lucrative six-year deal.

Williams was hoping to hit the free-agent market, but the Packers decided to protect themselves from losing him without compensation. The franchise tag bought the Packers time to see if there was a market for a talented defensive tackle on a team deep at the position.

Williams is expected to sign a deal worth more than $6 million a year when he gets to the Browns, who have been looking to upgrade their defensive line. The early reports are that he will get a six-year, $38 million contract, but there was no conformation that those numbers were correct.

I like to have correct information when I go to a website. It's kind of annoying to turn a very educational website into a mess just for the fun of it.

I usually fix up obvious vandalism on wiki when i see it, it's annoying that fans from this site are childish enough to continue to deface a website.

Dude, wikipedia is completely garbage. You might as well go through the whole site A-Z and edit everything, because I've been on it and people screw it up all the time.

Dang, six years, 38 million...that's a pretty good value contract.

I was thinking four years, 32...so i'm happy with that contract.

Yeah, for a guy who is 27 years old and heading in to his prime it's not really that bad of a deal at all.

Williams has had 14 sacks the past 2 years, at DT!!! He's worth the investment.

Key phrase; 'most guys'. Corey Williams is not most guys, he is as good a DT/DE as we could have hoped for in FA.

Statistics are like a bikini; what they show is interesting, but what they hide is vital.

Depends on what you're looking at, politicians' sites get messed up all the time, as do sports sites etc.

Science sites, and random historical sites that people don't look at much, are remarkably correct.

Overall wikipedia grades out to have the same level of accuracy as almost every other encyclopedia out there.

-----------------------

And this Corey Williams signing is amazing! If we got him for only a 2nd round pick, and a 6 year $38 million dollar deal, we just got the steal of free agency.

Hell yeah man I'm liking it. The contract is nice and the player starts the upgrade at positions we desperately need. Savage loves his draft picks but here we get a proven player and that takes away the element of surprise with a rookie draft pick. I can only assume we went with that position come draft time.
Another part of me thinks DA has found a great deal somewhere else and were going to get this pick back but a better draft number
