Quote: I'm sure many have, but if you havent read Jim morrison's book "Nobody here gets out alive"...Awsome book...If you like the door it's a must read
& by the way, Jim is still alive....He toasted my steak & cheese sub last week at Subway....
I've read it a bunch of times. Pretty good book, slightly sensationalistic though.
The definitive book on the band is Riders on the Storm, by drummer John Densmore. I love Robbie Krieger's guitar playing, such a beautiful style.
Krieger is definitely a stylist. He had the fortune of having a style that fit perfectly with the ensemble he was part of. He was and still is a mediocre guitarist technically but being technically sound doesnt guarantee that your are automatically adept at being able to carry on a conversation with the other band members while playing on stage.

The Doors were very good.........actually one of the best bands in their time!
It was indeed sad they could not get along, if that is the case for sure.....I need to read the book!
They seemed to get along pretty well, when they were in the studio to make an album......seems as if that was not the case when they were outside looking in for business reasons!
