Chad Johnson Is So Unhappy in Cincinnati, He Might Have to Consider the Arena League!!!

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson is widely reported to be unhappy in Cincinnati, and he more or less confirmed those reports with an appearance on ESPN today:

Johnson didn't come right out and say he wants to leave Cincinnati, but he didn't say he wants to stay, either, and he said when asked if he had talked to coach Marvin Lewis, "I haven't talked to anyone. I'm just enjoying the off-season." (He did, however, confirm that he had to be restrained by Lewis at halftime of a playoff game two years ago.)

Johnson then talked about his desire to move into acting, saying he's going to star in some short films where he plays a character named Agent Ocho. Based on the one line he delivered as "Agent Ocho" in the interview, I'd advise him not to quit his day job.

When asked about scoring his 50th career touchdown (he's currently at 49), Johnson said, "I don't know, man. I don't know what I'm going to do. Whatever it is and where ever I am, it's going to be something fun. You know what, I might be playing Arena ball. That's the route I might have to go."

Please, Chad, do me a favor. Quit referring yourself as "Ocho Cinco."

First off, ocho cinco means 8-5 in Spanish. Not 85.

Secondly, anyone who refers to themselves in the third person, particularly with a self-given nickname, is an egotistical headcase.

If I was Jay Crawford, I would have stopped the interview and asked him why they even had him on. He wasn't answering the questions. It's not like he has to do the talk show circuit. It's his own decision. And he knows why they want to talk to him now. So when they ask him about the incident and his future, he doesn't want to comment.

Be a man.

Serve notice to the Bungles, puddin! I believe Canada is a wide-open option, Bodden isn't there, they make lots of films, and you could annoy a whole bunch of undelighted folks who fail to share your needs for stinko behavior. Heck, if Moss and a few others can get the team concept down, it is in your reach as well. Why all the public whining? The Bangels don't exist to please Ocho Stunko, and especially the NFL doesn't either. Shut and play or just shut it.

Any Bengals "fans" on here still think that Chad is all just fun and games? That what he does is funny and entertaining? I mean, with Shaun Smith letting the cat out of the bag that he did, in fact, take a swing at 2 of his coaches back in 2005 and with him trying to weasel and whine his way of Cincinnati it seems that he is the team cancer that most people thought him to be all along...

I want to know where all the Browns fans went that just thought he was wonderful. They went on and on about how funny and good natured he was and how they would LOVE to have him on our team. In fact, they outnumbered those of us who saw what he was like from early on. They told us we just didn't get it.

They've all disappeared.

Well I wasn't one of those you were requesting...but outside of Shaun Smith....I have not heard a single player say anything bad about him.....And for cripes sake, he has been with the Bungals for SEVEN YEARS That'll make ANYONE crack...LOL

That is not to say I would want him on my team.....frankly I never cared one way or the other about his antics in the endzone. They were mostly playful and without malice....Unlike TO stompin on the Star in Dallas. He is not a TO. TO is an instigator and there is plenty of malice in his antics. They are meant to show another person or the other team up in order to glorify the all encompasing and godlike TO.

Now does anyone really believe that Johnson was being malicious and trying to show us up by jumping into the Dawg Pound??? I mean the guy talked to the people where he jumped beforehand to try to be cool with everyone. And you know what....Those guys he talked to welcomed him.

The thing is...I see his interaction with other players, whether they are teammates or not...and I have not seen those players trash him. And frankly.....that counts a little with me.

Quite Frankly the guy is Frustrated. Because he has given a lot of himself to try and make the Bengals winners. Anyone who says he hasn't, is only looking at his antics. And I don't blame him for being frustrated. I mean if you were trapped by the Cincinnati Bengals for 3 and possibly 4 more years....wouldn't you be frustrated too....LOL

But that does not mean he can pout like a little kid and say trade me or else. No excuse for that.

The guy has a huge ego....That is a good thing and a bad thing in his profession. What he is pulling, or should I say is trying to pull, is not going to accomplish anything. But then again it might. Like him or hate him....he tells you what he is thinking...and because he has that ego....he is usually sitting at extremes in everything he does. and so this is probably the only way he knows how to deal with his situation. Even if it is childish, and wrong.

And really....will he stop refering to himself in the 3rd person????? That was a little annoying....

Guess you didn't hear about the players meetings they had where they talked about how sick and tired they were of his act and his whining and his selfishness. That has been no secret down here.

He's just as selfish and childish as T.O. Anyone who isn't seeing that now is absolutely not paying attention.

I couldn't care less about the dawg pound incident. It was just as lame as all his other "funny" productions.

Again, It's been widely reported around here that the other players were sick of him. Have you not heard him crying about how only two people on that team have his back? I guess if you are just getting the national perspective you might think this, but lately, they've been reporting some of this also.

I thought I started a thread giving you, Michelle and dawginCincy credit for being right all along about him. I was one of the many that thought his antics were funny. That's before all the locker room trouble was widely printed. I would never want him as a Brown.

Yeah but the difference is that Chad is just looking for attention...he is not trying to demean another person or persons.

lame as it may have been...the point i was trying to make is that there was no malice in his lame antics....

I honestly don't think this is about money. I think he wants on another team...period. Money may be a piece of the puzzle. I just don't think it is the main impetus. But there is nothing noble in how he is acting....it is childish, non-productive, and is alienating him with his coworkers, his employer, and his potential employers if he were to be allowed to leave. TJ "Who's your momma" is also holding out....and his holdout is strictly about money, but I don't see too many people bashing him about it.

Check out this video of an ESPN interview. I wonder if he's on drugs or something, because he just doesn't make sense at times. It looks like the interviewer (I can't remember his name) just loses patience with him.

Which example..... getting teenage girls drunk in a motel room or beating up teenage boys after throwing a beer bottle through their windshield?

Chad is so FOS. He completely avoids the questions, but asks surprised when the interview is over. "That's it???"

Well, you won't talk and make any damn sense, you won't answer questions appropriately, they ask you to say what you want, and you stumble around with nothing to say, then act surprised when it's over?

The guy is miserable. I love it!

Id still take him AFTER this year. I still think he is a really good WR that gives 100%.

Corey Dillon wanted to leave and look what it got him. A Super Bowl ring. Take a good player that wants to win off a losing him...he is no longer mad (Randy Moss)

Cinci is all about turning a profit. Not commited to winning. If us Browns fans know this, Im sure a player thats been there for 7 years knows this.

IMO, the difference between Corey Dillon and Ocho is that Dillon never had any of the stupid self-serving antics that Ocho does. Oh yeah, but he's just having fun, LOL! I would have taken Dillon in a heartbeat - he never caused any trouble until his last year and actually showed a great deal of loyalty to a horrible team. Ocho, no way I'd ever want him.

You Cleveland Clowns are a bunch of Hypocrites, you hate Ocho Cinco but if they announced he was going to become a Cleveland Clown, you would instantly fall in love with him all over again. If Chad were offered to Cleveland, you would take him in a heartbeat just like you welcomed the criminal Boaterboy Steinbach last year, you Clowns are sad.

By the way, Mike Brown is not going to let a big mouth whining player tell him what to do. Either Chad plays or he rides the pine, that's the way I think it will play out & we'll win with or without him.

LOL...Steinbach committed ONE misdemeanor and has always been a great team player. It was funny when he got arrested just because it contributed to the VOLUME of people that were arrested on the Bungles that year. His record's clean since coming to Cleveland.

Look at these boards...no way in hell would we want T.O. Jr. to come to our team...no way! By the way, you only have your own selves (meaning the fans) to blame for his behavior. You all encouraged it and now you have to sleep in the bed that you made.

As far as Cheapskate Brown not letting a player control the team...he also doesn't let the team be good.

Chad Johnson... This moron thinks he's Terrell Owens, or some variation of a comedian. Remember the retarted sign he had "NFL, please dont fine me again". Chad Johnson gets fined every other game and gets his team about 20 yards worth of penalties each game because he's constantly in need of attention.

When he decided to hand out Pepto Bismol to opposing DBs before a game against the Browns a few years ago (don't cover him, he'll make you sick...get it? Yes, its that lame) he had his worst offensive game of the year. Lesson? Don't be an idiot and try to be cocky when you are a second rate receiver at best.

What really pissed me off though, was when he asked every fan to bring a dollar to the game to cover his fine because he was going to do something 'cah-razy' WHEN he caught a TD.

First off, we have no need for CJ. Our money will be going to extend our already talented receiving corp.

Secondly, the guy is an egotistical headcase. He's a disease, and if you think otherwise, you're clueless. Look what he's doing to your team right now. Do you think I would want that when he's unhappy that K2 and Braylon are getting the ball and the fans are tired of his antics?

Last but not least, a response to this comment:

Mike Brown is an idiot. It's sad that this is the son of a legend like Paul Brown. He should be stripped of his last name, because he doesn't deserve to carry it.
