Since I start maybe two threads a year, I have no clue if this is the right place. I always find it interesting to see what your experiences were with Browns, past and present...

Brady Quinn was super nice to my nephew one day. Saw him out and about and my nephew just happened to be wearing his BQ jersey. Super nice kid.

Andra Davis and I played Guitar Hero at Best Buy in Brooklyn one day and he slaughtered me. He was super good with kids, and had a good time.

Used to see Ross Verba at Panini's in Berea. On college ID night. Make your own assumptions.

I waited for my food at Pizza Hut one night at PH in North Roytalton and the person in front of me was Wimbley. The woman at the counter had zero clue how he was, and we both waited for about twenty minutes for our pies. My buddy in a joking fashion proclaimed that Wimbley owed his paycheck to Ted Washington, and Wimbley laughed about it. Good sense of humor.

I literally almost mowed down D'Qwell Jackson at Southpark mall. He was tiny.

Eddie Johnson used to stop into my old job from time to time. Really nice guy, very respectful.

Sold a shoes once to Greg Pruitt. .

Earl Little may have been one of the most arrogant people I've met in my life. Bragged about how after the Bucs one the Super Bowl, he was offered a huge money deal to go be their FS, but he turned it down. He then said he could handle Hines Ward, and that Ward was soft. **crickets**

Chaun Thompson signed a hat for me.

Jeff Faine did too...and I'm still to this day afraid of him.

What are yours?

What made it even weirder that a guy like DJ, who has great instincts, barely got out of the way of me and my lawn mower!

I've had nothing even close to that......never saw any Browns out in public except at events and camp.

I high-fived Braylon Edwards, which made the commercial used on STO to promote 2007's Training Camp. It happened at camp the practice that Braylon surprised everyone and came out to participate after tearing his ACL.

I've gotten autographs from Tucker, Baxter, Faine, Antonio Bryant, Chaun Thompson, Lee Suggs and had my picture taken with my wife and Tucker, and another with your favorite arrogant safety, Earl Little along with my father.

I went to a Browns Backers event where they had the Kardiac Kids there, which was cool because growing up as a kid, Brian Sipe was my favorite player, hence the #17 in my name. Coach Sam where there as well, and it was great to hear him speak.

That's really about it.

oh yeah, I got to run out to the 50 yard line after the buffalo scrimmage a few years back, met tim couch, was on the jumbo tron, had Jim donavon call my name out over the PA and dennis northcutt signed his game worn jersey and gave it to me. All in in a 10 minute span.

hooray,

I don't have too many, but I was attending to Lakeland Community College when training camp was there.

One day I was in the cafeteria when Michael Dean Perry was getting lunch so I asked him for his autograph. "Do you know who I am?" he asked in his deep MDP voice. I said yes and told him, then he smiled and signed for me.

Eddie Johnson & Reggie Langhorne stopped in their SUV when I was walking outside. Actually they drove past, then put the car in reverse and came back to talk to me. They gave me their phone number at the hotel. And NO, I didn't call.

As a guest in a loge a couple years ago watched a Browns game along with Tom Cousineau.

Eric and I went to Tampa to see the Browns play the year TB won the SuperBowl. That was the game after Balitmore when Tim suffered his concussion. By pure chance we stayed at the same hotel as the team. When got out of the cab, there were Browns fans waiting for players to arrive. (One lady asked Eric for his autograph thinking he was a player) When heading down for dinner we rode the elevator with some of the players ( I don't remember who and I didn't talk to them - I was so in awe I became speechless!) - they were going to their dinner/team meeting,

I didn't talk to him but I saw Bob Golic at the Great Lakes Mall being very loud and obnoxious.

Oh I also had a dream I kissed Tim Couch at a bar. LOL My kids thought that was the funniest thing they'd ever heard. They still tease me about it as does Eric.

This is a second hand tale that my Uncle once had back in the 80's. He and His roomate/frat bro from Akron U were in the flats. My Uncles roomie was a native Clevelander and a big dude...as was my Uncle....Unc was 6'3 and 230..Frat Bro was 6'2 250, anyway the frat bro was a very outspoken dude and while in the bar they ran into Bernie who was with a couple of other players,(Mike Baab?). My Uncles Roomie heads right over to them, with my Uncle in tow and they started yakking. My Uncle always laughed about the fact that there were like 10- 12 "Foxes" hanging near Bernies group giving the whole group come hither looks...anyways after a pleasant chat My Uncle and His Buddy moved on....they were followed by 3 gals who came up and asked them if they were on the team...being truthful My Uncle said no....he said the chicks faces fell and they turned on their high heels and left..my Uncles buddy berated him for the rest of the night for not saying that they were rookies or something just to get laid!

When I was a kid in the 80's, Ozzie Newsome used to jog past my house every morning. It took me a long time to get up enough nerver to speak...so one day I shouted his name, and he smiled and waved, which kind of became a tradition for a while. Although we never really talked, but I was a kid, so the conversation would have went from football to Voltron real fast.

Growing up during the off season the brwns would go around to local high schools and play a charity game of B-ball, I remember being in aw when i can up to Greg Pruitt I was shacking really bad and asked him if he'd like my autograph...he looked at me funny and laughed, he said ok lets swap, he handed me a pen & paper and made me sign my name and he gave me his, I'm sure mine ended up in the trash soon after that, but I still have his.

At a football camp Doug Dieken knocked me on my behind, he was showing blocking and well I was on def.

Also while working drive thru in Willard I was about 18-19, my buddy told me Jack Lambert was at the drive thru window, waiting on his food, the guy sitting in his car looked like him, I grabbed the bag stuck my head out the window and said here ya go Mr. Lambert......Go Browns.....& smiled....he stopped gave he that stare and drove away slowly, looking back at me, we laughed about it wondering if he ever ate his food, knowing a Browns fan handed it to him.....and NO we didnt do anything to it.

Man, those are some excellent stories! In my signature below I had my picture taken with Kevin Mack. Other than that, my brother and I were leaving old Municipal after a game and damn near ran over Jim Brown. We were leaving the parking lot and Jim Brown walked right out in front of us. He put his hand down on the hood of the car and then waived to us politely. I flicked him off and told him watch where the hell he was walking.........

Uh...just kidding on the last part.

I only saw them play once.... at Paul Brown.
I sat next to some big wigs from WHIO tv. And after the game on the way home, a motorcycle cop yelled at me to drive through a red light because the Browns' bus was coming through(12 blocks away).... by the time the bus finally got there, my light would have been green.

I'm still pissed about the way the cop acted.... anyway.... nothing to do with "the browns" but that's my experience anyway

Met Lyle Alzado in a donut shop that my dad was remodeling for the owner.

Ran into Bernie at Walden Country Club once. He was having dinner with what appeared to be his entire family... large group..

Ran into Bernie at his golf outing. He used to have them at Tanglewood CC in Bainbridge, Ohio every year. Not sure if he still does. Met Vinny Testeverdi and Matt Bahr there also.

I was sitting at what used to be my favorite bar a few years back (Max Doogans in Aurora) when in walks Charlie Frye and Terry Robiskie. They sat behind us and were having dinner so we didn't want to disturb them.. As I was leaving, I got up and walked by and wished them good luck this year and to JUST BEAT PITTSBURGH.., they both laughed and shook my hand.. (fryes hands were not that small )

I've never really had any experiences with the Browns outside of events, etc.

I did tell Kamerion Wimbley I wanted him to hit Big Ben so hard it made that motorcycle accident look like a tricycle wreck and that I wanted him to knock the rest of Big Ben's teeth out. I also told DQ I named my fantasy team after him. He got a laugh out of that.

When my wife was in HS, she tore her ACL and was at the Cleveland Clinic to get it fixed right around Christmas. Ozzie Newsome, Cody Riesin and a few other guys (I can't remember who) were there seeing kids around Christmas, and she got their autographs on a big poster that says "Pittsburgh sucks". That's going in our Browns basement in our new house!

Back in '79 or '80, I went out with a girl whos brother was a sports reporter for the old Painesville Telegraph. He let me stand on the sidelines with him for a game and then took me in the locker room after for his interviews. I remember seeing Mack Mitchell standing there in just his jock and the guy looked like he was chiseled out of stone...maybe 5 % bodyfat. The look on my face amused him so he did an Atlas pose for me and laughed.

A few years ago my dad took me and my son to CBS for a game and our seats were in the 2nd row behind the Browns. Eddie Johnson was roaming the s/l's in his 3 pc. suit. I told my son who he was and my boy yelled for him to come over. He gave my son his autograph and talked to him for about 20 minutes. Then he wished him good luck with hs football....SUPER nice guy...a class act all the way....RIP Eddie......

I once had a nice chat with Ohio State Buckeye/Packer DB Steve Luke at a slient charity auction. I grilled him on his role in the blown coverage that allowed Dave Logan to score that last minute winner against Green Bay in 1981. He insists the safety missed an assignment. I believe him.

I lived in the Cleveland Browns dorm for a year at Baldwin Wallace College (the old front offices).

I use to sell beer at home games in the pound.

I was good friends with one of the mascots (he is a Steelers fan).

I use to work out with Jamel White. (dude is fast as hell)

Frequently ran into Browns in Berea when I went to school there.

I met Joe Jurevicious and Leigh Bodden both at Mick's in Willoughby at separate times. Joe was there drinking some beers on a normal Saturday night. Leigh was there for an autograph signing between eating some wings and drinking some Miller High Life.

I went to a tour of CBS as an event for Fed Ex through work a few years ago and Braylon Edwards and Joe Andruzzi were there signing autographs.

I also helped Tony Fisher (I know he was never a Brown) with a security system for his Navigator while I worked at H.H. Gregg in Mentor. He came in there a few times.

Joe Thomas made Justin Timberlake change his name. He didn't want wusses to have the same initials...

Good stories here. Unfortunately, I have none.

My cousin, in Strongsville, has a good one.

During Ross Verba's last year w/ the team, he came into a pizza place where my cousin was eating. Verba picked up his pizza and just as he was about to exit, this really old man, like 70 or 80-something years old, yells at the top of his lungs, "VERBA, YOU (((BLEEP)))ING SUCK!!!" Then Verba turns and yells back, "(((BLEEP))) YOU!!!" Then everybody started laughing and booing at Verba.

When I attended B-W, the Browns were on strike. Some of them would come over and use the rec center weight room. Clay Matthews and Dan Fike were weight room beasts. We always laughed at Gary Danielson and Ernest Byner though.

Danielson would show up in the Olivia Newton John "Let's get physical" spandex cycler pants and he would do barbell curls with weights less than most peoples' sister.

Byner would get ticked off because he thought he owned the weight room. He'd throw 225 on the bench, do a set, get up and go out to the lobby to hit on the college "hotties", for about 10 minutes, and then come back to find that his bench was taken. Wasn't too impressed with any of them, except Fike & Matthews, in the weight room.

Bernie would show up during the spring to watch his brother pitch for the Yellow Jackets baseball team.

I once ran into Gerald "Ice Cube" McNeil over at the old Club Rio in Middleburg Heights on a Sunday night. The gold chains he was wearing probably weighed more than him and standing next to him, I probably could've put him in my pocket.

I also repossessed two former Browns cars. One being an obscure wide receiver, the other being a fairly prominent running back.

The very last game the Browns played was in Jacksonville, before the team was moved to Baltimore!

I was interviewed by a little lady at the game, and ended up on the eleven o'clock news that night!

She asked me a couple of times why I was wearing a Browns hat, a Browns shirt, Browns pants, and Browns shoestrings!

It is like we had no respect, but she was honest and sincere!

I know I had a few tears in my eyes during that interview....it was a sad day!

The biggest thing I remember about it all.......I talked to a hundred Jaguar fans or more....and they all said the same thing!

Art Modell is a total butthole......and the Cleveland Browns will always belong in Cleveland........those people were so respectful to the game of football and they were very kind to me, knowing I was supporting the team to the maxium!

I will never forget that game...no more Browns football for too long after that game!

When I was a kid Bob Golic used to run track at Royalview School right behind my uncles house. He came over and had some beers and burgers a few times and played catch with us kids. That was awesome for me.

My dad used to own a restaurant in Westlake back in the 70's/80's and I met a ton of the old Browns from back then,,too many to name. What I remember is riding on a motorcycle but I am not 100% who it was. I want to say Dave Logan but I'm not positive. Anyways I got all kinds of cool stuff from them that is sadly gone now due to a flood

I have had a lot of experience with browns players, however what happens OFF the field stays off the field. These guys are regular people like all of us are, and even if they are in the public eye I am sure they don't want every single detail of their life posted on the internet just like we wouldn't.

Yeah, after he ran out, he ran along the line of people on the right side of the field and gave high-fives. And whenever they showed that commercial on STO for Training Camp, they show the clip of him high-fiving me and a few others.

I recorded it. First time I was watching, I'm like, "HEY! There's me!!!"

My only Browns story is when I went to training camp last year and got Phil Dawson and Antwan Peek's autographs. Nothing too exciting for me.

My brother and one of his friends sat behind Donte Lavelli and Frank Gatski at a game a few years ago. It may have been a preseason game, I'm not sure.

The hubs used to be on a race crew that also included Tom Cousineau (sp?) as a driver and Bob Golic as a refueler. He said that both guys were very nice and that Golic used to tease him a lot. The hubby fell asleep on a couple of stacks of tires. Golic just thought that was funny.
