Coach, don't forget what West Virginia did to Oklahoma last bowl season. -They beat up on'em. On top of that, don't forget the way Michigan's Defense beat up on Florida last year during bowl season. Michigan already has a fast defense, and Rich Rod is recruiting for a fast offense. -They're gonna be good sooner or later. Like I noted earlier, Tress and co. have to devise a scheme to stop RR's version of the spread offense.

They beat up on Oklahome? Oh, my that's impressive. Oklahoma hasn't been anything for what, 20 years? When RR leads them to a win over a 1AA, I'll "be more concerned".

I REALLY hate to keep correcting your delusions, but I will. Smith and Pryoer are COMPLETELY different types of QBs? Really? Ever watch Glenville play? Do you know what kind of system Ginn Sr. runs? Obviously not or you wouldn't make such ignorant comments. Do you realize that Smith ran a spread offense in high school? Do you realize he wasn't recruited as a QB, but as an "athlete"? Do you realize that Tressell spent hours in the film room with Smith teaching him how to run a pro-style offense? Obviously not or you wouldn't have just put your foot in your mouth.

Yeah because Tressel has shown such a propensity for not being able to use his players talents to the best of their ability. Michigan got our sloppy seconds once again and somehow the UM homer managed to spin it to make it look like they came out on top.
KING
Where did I say UM "came out on top?" Probably hard to find huh?
Tressel is a good coach but he's never had a QB like Pryor (a spread option player that he's going to try to fit in to a largely pro-style offense). Did he modify his offense for Smith? Sure, he did but the transition wasn't nearly as drastic as it may have to be for Pryor. They spread the field with Smith but the majority of the things they were doing were still geared around an NFL type system. They rolled him out and moved the pocket but they didn't have him stand in the shotgun on EVERY snap (like Pryor has). What, 75% of the time (or more) he still took snaps from under center and worked off of PA or straight drops. They mixed in the shotgun but it was hardly a mainstay in what they did when you look at what Pryor has run.
Pryor is a zone read player, someone who has never taken snaps under center. Converting a player like that isn't all that easy, that's all I was pointing out. Can it be done? Sure, it can but the percentages are much lower.

When you go to MIS do you intentionally go the route through Ann Arbor so you can flip off the Big House?? I forget, is that I270? Takes you just north of Jackson.

I understand what you are saying Nas. The point is Tressel will not force Pryor to fit into some mold. He will adjust to the talent of the players. That is what a good coach does. Tress molds young men, RR screams and cusses at them.

So there's no difference between the spread offense and the spread option right? So because they both ran a type of spread offense, they're the same type of player? It's just as easy to adjust to a passing QB as a running QB? Are Pat White and Troy Smith the same player? Because they both run the spread? According to your logic they must be.
It's funny you would call be ignorant when you're ignoring that Smith and Pryor don't fall from the same tree. Unless you're going to tell me that Smith ran for 1,600+ yards as a QB? That and you're claiming he wasn't being recruited as a QB when he was a 4-star Quarterback.
From Scout.com:
"One of the top quarterback prospects in the nation. Has tremendous speed and arm strength. Had 1,000 yards passing and 12 touchdowns in 2001."
http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=5249
Smith was the #15 ranked QB, Zwick was #14.
http://recruiting.Scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=9&c=4&pid=10&yr=2002
What was that foot in mouth reference?
