According to court paperwork, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry has been cited again by police, this time for a traffic offense in the city of Cincinnati. It's a story you saw first on 9 News. This comes as just the latest off-field incident involving Henry. The allegations are not nearly as serious as some of his others, but for a player who has been at the center of controversy since he arrived in Cincinnati, it could prove to be troublesome. According to court documents obtained by 9 News, Henry was driving his red, 2007 Land Rover on Cincinnati's Vine Street on March 6, when he was pulled over with expired license plates. Officially, he was charged with unauthorized license plates. Eleven days later, Henry paid out a fine of $140 in traffic court. Henry has been involved in several off-field incidents since coming to Cincinnati. They include OVI and possession of marijuana charges, as well as a conviction of providing alcohol to minors. And while a traffic offense is not considered to be a major offense, keep in mind it's widely thought that Henry is down to his last strike with both the team and the NFL. In fact, NFL commissioner Roger Goddel has cautioned that future misconduct could end his career. The last time Henry was cited for a traffic offense, the Bengals, who normally are tight-lipped about off-field concerns, put forth a statement critical of Henry's conduct. That last traffic offense was for the lack of a turn signal that also happened on Vine Street in 2007. Henry was suspended for much of last season due to his misconduct. http://www.wcpo.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=ce...3c-bad3-acb99bcfb72b

Okay....cinci police need to bust some real thugs...this is ludacris...i think they have like half the police force devoted to just bust bungal players.. PS- it is also pretty stupid of henry to drive with expired plates but i don't think it should warrent another strike..that is retarded if u ask me...i think a strike should only be for a criminal offense

HENRY CHARGED WITH ASSAULT As his former West Virginia University teammate Pacman Jones tries to get back into the NFL, Bengals receiver Chris Henry might be trying to get out. According to media reports, Henry has been charged with assault. He allegedly was involved in a fight on Monday, and he faces counts of assault and criminal damaging. An 18-year-old claims that Henry smashed his car windshield and punched him in the face. Henry says that it wasn’t him. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Henry for eight games in 2007, and reportedly put Henry on a zero-tolerance/last-chance arrangement.

Well just when you think its all BS and the cops r out to get him LOL Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry charged with assault CINCINNATI (AP)—Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry has been accused of punching an 18-year-old man in the face and breaking his car window with a beer bottle, according to court documents filed Wednesday. Henry, 24, was charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal damaging in the Monday incident in Cincinnati. A warrant for his arrest was issued in Hamilton County Municipal Court. The player has had a string of problems with police. He most recently was in court last week after being ticketed for driving with expired Kentucky license plates. He paid $149, according to the Hamilton County Municipal Court records. Henry, who was arrested four times during a 14-month span, was suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for the first half of last season for repeatedly violating the league’s conduct policy. A message seeking comment was left late Wednesday for Henry’s attorney, Robert Lotz. Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said the team is aware of the charges but declined comment. The player’s agent, Marvin Frazier, said Henry gave him a different version of events but declined to elaborate. “I was told it didn’t happen that way,” Frazier said. According to an affidavit filed in Hamilton County, Henry was identified by Gregory Meyer, whose hometown was not listed, and an eyewitness. The eyewitness claimed Henry punched Meyer, causing “visible injury.” Henry then threw a beer bottle at Meyer’s car, breaking the rear passenger window, according to the affidavit. After his most recent arrest, Henry pleaded guilty to letting minors drink alcohol in a hotel room he had rented. He served two days in jail. The Bengals issued a statement expressing frustration with Henry when he was in traffic court a year ago for driving with a suspended license. Following his NFL suspension, Henry caught 21 passes for 343 yards and two touchdowns. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Aq...p&type=lgns

Man oh man oh man. Goodbye to the NFL for at least this year, if not longer.
Has he ever had any kind of psychological testing? I mean, when you just keep getting in trouble, there's gotta be something deep down wrong with you.

Same old Bungles.
One WR can't stay out of trouble while the other one is proving by the day that he is a team cancer and won't shut up. Their coach is a complete wuss and their run by maybe the worst GM/Owner combo in the NFL.
Ah, the order of the universe is back to where it belongs.
you had a good run Hank.

Bengals release Henry April 3, 2008 Posted: 11:30 a.m. The Bengals today waived WR Chris Henry. Bengals president Mike Brown issued the following statement: "Chris Henry has forfeited his opportunity to pursue a career with the Bengals. His conduct can no longer be tolerated. "The Bengals tried for an extended period of time to support Chris and his potentially bright career. We had hoped to guide him toward an appropriate standard of personal responsibility that this community would support and that would allow him to play in the NFL. We acknowledge those fans who had concerns about Chris; at the same time we tried to help a young man. "But those efforts end today, as we move on with what is best for our team." The Bengals on Thursday also waived punter Danny Baugher, who was originally signed on February 5 http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6709

I think they might have a long wait. Isn't he already on probation from something else? Goodell might also want to give him a time out.

I thought Goodell told him, before reinstating him, one more slip up and "you're done" as in forever.
I just hope Bernie doesn't give him a tryout with the Gladiators.

Given recent history of the Cleveland Clowns picking up Bengals castoffs & criminals, I would bet that Chris Henry will be in a Cleveland Clown uniform & wearing a plain orange pumpkin head helmet by training camp. P.S. - On a side note, Cincinnati is now the largest Metropolitan area in Ohio now surpassing Cleveland. It looks like the rats are leaving the sinking rust belt capital at an alarming rate. Conclusion: Cleveland doesn't rock, it BLOWS!!! Even with Chris Henry gone, the Bengals will still deliver 2 beatdowns to the Cleveland Clowns in 2008. WHO DEY!!

Listen Bedpann, we only want quality players. We got Steinbach cause he had skills, but couldn't realize his full potential while tied to that stinking, sinking cincy ship. Henry is garbage, and he fit in well with the rest of degenerates that have populated that locker room.
It seems like your "coach" and "front-office" finally wised up and dropped the guy---about time. How long have you been clinging to that anchor. I'm sure you might be buoyed a bit from the bottom this year----but Cincy still sucks.

WHO DEY!!
You're team has a WR that doesn't shut his trap, a QB that likes to "Go Long", Ownership that isn't commited to winning, a defense that is garbage, an O-line that is terrible, and a RB who is getting older by the second, looking like garbage.
Prediction...The Bungles will continue to be a grease fire this year, stinking at every turn.
WHO DEY? EVERYBODY DEY!
you had a good run Hank.

I love that madwoman has to throw out population and social statistics due to the fact that he cannot think of any poor smack to throw about his team.
And she's saying we take on criminals? Who? Steinbach? What other Bengal have we taken that has a criminal record?
And this poor excuse for smack is akin to Browns fans making fun of a team because their owner stole them out of the city.
Pot calling the kettle black, madwoman?

History of picking up castoffs and criminals? Well, Shaun Smith and Eric Steinbach in the same offseason does not a history make...and I wouldn't consider Steinbach or Shaun Smith to be castoffs since both of them are better than whatever the hell you've got down there playing in those positions. I mean Thornton? Whitworth? Pfffft.... In terms of criminals...Eric Steinbach had a BUI...lock him up!!!! Shaun Smith had..........oh nothing. In terms of population, there is also more people leaving the actual city of Cincinnati than any other Ohio City proper. You guys are actually scheduled to fall behind Toledo in the next few years. So that actually shows people are fleeing to the suburbs to leave that boring mess of a craphole that you guys have downtown. One more thing in respect to the cities: Jerry Springer Nuff Said... Now have fun not responding to all the 1,456,765 posts that just completely destroyed you.
