Too tough to answer, and honestly, you ask me now and a week from now and I might give you two different lists. I'll try and break a few down by category, and what mood I'm in.

A few that are up in that top echelon for Beerdowner:

Good song to romance a lady to...

Wonderful Tonight - Live from 24 Nights by Clapton

Sit back and chill to a summer night - Fade to Black - Metallica

Best cover song (tie) - Knockin' on Heavens Door by GNR and Last Kiss by Pearl Jam

Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

Song that gets me pumped up for Browns kickoffs - Thunderstruck - AC/DC

A gem that no one really knows about - Anything, Anything - Dramarama

Best Rap song - Notorious Thugs - Bone, Thugs, and Harmony and Notorious BIG

(No youtube for language)

Best live song - Creeping Death - Metallica

Best wrestling song intro - The Game - Motorhead

Best song to start a party - Nothin' But a Good Time - Poison

Man...I have so many favorite songs I could go at this all night. The majority of which lay in the 1980-1992 hard rock/heavy metal/hair band era - whaever you wish to call it. I love it to this day. Was just driving through the Metropraks this afternoon jamming to Poison, Skid Row, Quiet Riot, Warrant, and others.

It's hard to pick one favorite, but I will.

This is tough for me because I consider myself a manly man...but I really love 'By Your Side' by Sade.

Good thing I don't know any of you all outside of this board.

I love a lot of songs, but I think Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven takes the cake.

If I had to pick just one I would go Led Zeppelins , Kashmere. With the Beatles, Revolutions a very close second.

My choice for best cover would go to AAron Lewis and Staind for Comfortably Numb

Wow... Can't pick one... but if I had to, maybe Liar by Queen with Let It Grow by Clapton coming in at a close second.

Ha... Just had to go look at my iTunes to check my All Time Favorites to see what my subconscious has picked lately. While I do like all these songs, I doubt they are actually my all time favorites, but here is evidently my current top 50 in alphabetical order:

Alive - Pearl Jam
Bad Motor Scooter - Montrose
Black Betty - Humble Pie
Bobby Brown - Frank Zappa
Born To Lead - Hoobastank
Can't You See - Allman Brothers
Circle of Hands - Uriah Heep
Faceless Man - Creed
Fire On The Mountain - Marshall Tucker
Follow The Sun Down - Dark New Day
Green Green Grass Of Home - Tom Jones
Hammer To Fall - Queen
Higher - Creed
Hocus Pocus - Focus
I'll Love Her - Henry Gross
In The Ghetto - Elvis
Indian Reservation - Gary Pucket
Inside of You - Hoobastank
Jefftown Creek - Head East
Keep Yourself Alive - Queen
Last Kiss - Ricky Nelson
Let It Grow - Eric Clapton
Liar - Queen
Lights Out - UFO
Lips Of An Angel - Hinder
Looking For Clues - Robert Palmer
Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes - Bobby Sherman
Paper Sun - Traffic
Positively 4th Street - Bob Dylan
The Reason - Hoobastank
Red (Live) - Sammy Hagar
Ride Captain Ride - Blues Image
Ring Of Fire - Johnny Cash
The Ripper - Judas Priest
Rockstar - Nickleback
Shannon - Henry Gross
Space Station #5 - Montrose
Spoonman - Soundgarden
Stealin' - Uriah Heep
Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
Sugar, Sugar - The Archies
Sympathy For The Devil - Guns & Roses
Ticket Back To Georgia - Head East
Tie Your Mother Down - Queen
Walk Away - James Gang
The Wizard - Uriah Heep
You're My Best Friend - Queen
Yulunga (Spirit Dance) - Dead Can Dance
30 Days In The Hole - Humble Pie

Kind of interesting to me to see it laid out like this, sorry if it bores anyone.

I have two. "Stairway to Heaven" and the live version of "Freebird".

Before wrestling matches I would get pumped with "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider

My favorite song to jam to before a workout is "Trooper" by Iron Maiden. When it comes to working out AC-DC is what I listen to.

My favorite love song is "The Flame" by Cheap Trick. It is the song my wife and I danced to at our wedding.

That is a pretty good list, some really good songs for sure!

Humble Pie.....I remember seeing them at Hara Areana, and they played about a thirty minute version of "I'm a Rolling Stone".....they were a great band to see live!

I am going to have to break out my "Rocking The Fillmore" album now!

What I think the best song is has to be Stairway to Heaven.

back in the day Stairway to Heaven was "the most requested song' on AM radio. As a result I got burnt out on the song.

Gotta be either "Rock 'n Roll Hoochie-Koo" (Rick Derringer), "California Dreamin" (Mamas/Papas), "All Along The Watchtower" (Hendrix), "Layla" (Clapton), "Wishing Well" (Free), or "Highway Song" (Blackfoot).

A very good song indeed!

The sad thing about such a good song......The radio stations played it way too often............and got us all burnt out on it way too soon!

Zeppelin made some really good tunes in their time......I love Custard Pie!

Among many other Zep tunes!

Not saying this is my favorite - by ANY stretch - but, what song did they play at Municipal stadium in the late 80's when the Browns came onto the field? I just know it started with what I think was trumpets......Haven't heard that song for a long time.

No way for me to list my favorite, as I have about 200 or so.

But, high on my list would be Don't stop Believing by journey (I think). A lot of Kenny Chesney - Beer in Mexico, There Goes My World, Keg in the Closet - wow - a whole lot of Kenny.

Long Black Train-Josh Turner
Spirit in the Sky
Running on Empty - Jackson Brown
Hurt - Johnny Cash

Man, those are mostly recent ones - too tough to pick a favorite.
