Actually its not CG, it's somewhat clever but not that hard to do..It's a classic shot they used to do all the time.. You see since the screen is 2D, you really have no depth perception...Can you tell if the car actually passed underneath him or beside him? You starting to see it yet...All they did is have Kobe off to one side of the car and then have him time his jump...It appears he hopped over the car when in reality all he did was jump while off to the side of the car and while elevated the car passed off to the side giving the illusion that the car actually passed underneath him  See it was just simple cinematography

First thing I did after the initial view was to put my mouse where KB's feet were then waited for the car tires. He is just slightly off to the passenger side as Loki wrote. Its still a close call.

I understand your explanation, but if you watch the video, he is standing right in front of the backboard shadow, the car just passes over that shadow. It looks like he jumps over the hood of the car, as, if you watch closely, the car comes in at a slight angle.
And since it is a still camera, I think it's 2 shots, 1 with him, 1 with the car, then they edit them together.

That's what I thought too - but I watched it again and it still looks like he actually jumped it... he's standing right on the shadow from (I'm guessing) the camera... the car runs right over that spot... It wouldn't surprise me either way honestly...

It's not the camera...it looks like a street light shadow...even then it's very possible to have him just jump and then put the car in afterwards...it would b very easy to do if u don't move the camera and make kobe one layer

Yeah they could do all of the layers and editing and stuff but don't you think that would be much more expensive than just off setting the two ?
Also like I mentioned before because of the screen you have no depth perception...You don't know if that car was 1inch or 100 ft from Kobe...the same with shadows, feet...etc
You see I think they could do the editing and cpu stuff (it might be better looking )but it would much more expensive than the method i mentioned.

Much more expensive? It would take a half-decent editing software and maybe 15 minutes to slap the two together. (Heck, somebody already made a spoof of him getting hit by the car ... for free). The whole scene itself sort of looks like it was done on the green screen, but I'm guessing it's just split channel and two shots of the same thing. It's Nike anyway, I don't think they'll care too much about paying some guy $25 for a half hour of video work.
As for what you are talking about ... put your fingernail on the screen where Kobe's back foot is. Pause it when the car comes through. The tire is slightly inside of where his foot is. Meaning, he could of done it and had the car zoom right next to him, but I'd doubt he'd even taken that much of a risk.

My answer is, that Kobe is not real, he's an alien with special powers, and the car was really a morphed spaceship with a forcefield. So it looked like Kobe jumped, but in reality, he just got lifted up and over the forcefield.

It wouldn't take that long or be much expensive...we aren't talking about a blockbuster movie here...it's kobe and a car...hell i could make 2 layers and do it myself in 10mins if u give me a decent software
