I'll say this, You Bungholes sure have a higher degree of convoluted logic than any other fan base i know of. Heres a little clue for you. An NFL title is an NFL title Is and NFL title no matter what era it was won in. No matter what the circumstances dictated at the time, if you won it, you climbed Mt. Everest.

May i remind you the Brown's franchise has 4 or is it 5 of them in just a 10 or 12 yr stretch. (Correct me if i'm wrong) If there was nothing to winning an NFL title back then as you say, why is it No other team in the league had as many, or near as many? <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
Conversely, your SORRY Franchise has been part of the NFL since 68. My calculations say thats 39 yr's. In that time span you went to 2 SB's, Lost them both, thereby FAILING to scale Mt. Everest. Aside from the Homers, NO one remembers the Runner up, so your franchise remains in the sorry state till you finally can claim King of the Hill honors, which by the way looks doubtful anytime soon since Armageddon may get here first.

YOU talk about looking desperate when you make false statements like a "watered down" league of 12 teams. Your entire delusional "point" contradicts itself. If there are LESS PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE, that would mean that overall, they are MORE TALENTED than if there were more players.

I have corrected you on this many times and will do so once again, since comprehension is obviously not your friend. Today there are 32 teams in the league. If they expanded that to 64 teams, that would WATER DOWN the talent in the league because you would have more roster spots for players that wouldn't have the talent to be IN the league with less teams. Your ignorance is quite entertaining, though.

Oh, and before you start your tangent about the AFL, don't forget that there was another league throwing money around at other teams during the Super Bowl era that took talent away.....I know that history and facts aren't your friends either, but the USFL must have "watered down" alot of those Super Bowl victories, too. Why can't you just deal with the FACT that your team has not made it to the superbowl since the league merged...That leaves about 5 teams that haven't done that while some have made it 5 times or more..It has nothing to do with NFL championships..It has to do with the reality that the Clowns have only choked away opportunities and blinded their fans to the organization's total ineptitude for so long that all fans like you can do is brag about a by-gone era...Tell your current team to grow a "set" real soon or most posters will be dead before you even make it to a Superbowl...

Curly, making it to a Super Bowl isn't anything special. We could have played in ten of them and it wouldn't even matter. The point is WINNING the SB...that's the ONLY thing that counts. That's why football is played.

Its how you get the chance to become World Champion..A player may play a hundred games in his career but will he remember the game when he had 3 or 4 TD's or the Super Bowl that he either won or lost????

1981 Lost to the 49ers....I think it was 20-16 (20-0 at one point)

1988 Lost to the 49ers...49ers scored winning TD with 34 sec remaining..

Both were great games to see..

Of course I wish we had won, but it wasn't to be..But I was around for both and the buzz around the city and about the team was something you will never forget..

If you have 32 teams with a 54 man roster, you have 1728 players in the league. With a 12 team league, you have 648. Now, follow LOGIC, McCurly. If you had the best 648 players this season on teams, would they be better or worse talent and depth wise than the current 32 teams that has 1728 players on them? OBVIOUSLY the answer is if it were a 12 team league, the teams would have more talent as they would not be watered down. I understand you refusing to acknowledge that FACT because it shows your arguement has no merit and is nothing more than twisting things to fit your arguement.

Conversely, the steelers were sitting at the bottom of the barrel with No light in the tunnel. Noll comes on board in 69 and slowly turns things around. So the question becomes, since you had all those #1 and First round picks, you had the advantage on us.
