I'm re-reading Walden by Henry Thoreau. I read either to think about ideas (Walden) or to further enjoy sports or another hobby (Sunday's in the Pound, No One Here Get's Out Alive). I'm not really big on the entertainment fiction like Grisham type books. I used to read a lot of those with Jurassic Park being my favorite of all time. I'd rather just watch a movie though when it comes to that type of stuff. Although I am thinking about reading "No Country for Old Men" later on because I liked the movie so much and heard the book was better.

79, I have read the entire collection on the Camel Club....good reads all.
Duty, I just finished up Duma Keys before reading Stone Cold and it does pick up. Pretty good overall, IMO. Not quite up to King's usual books, but I have been disappointed with the last couple (The Cell and I can't remember the other but it was a very short read that had no ending).
I read the cell and really enjoyed it Coach. I thought for a while he was getting back to his older, better stuff. (IMO) I would like to recomend a Florida writer named Randy Wayne White to anyone not familar with him. He writes about a Marine biologist and ex-CIA guy named Doc Cole. Most of his books take place in the Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island area of Florida. Easy fun reads.

I'll check those out. The Cell just wasn't up to The Stand, It, and a few others that I've read over and over. I might just re-read it to see if my opinion changes.

Did The Innocent Man make you angry? It sure made me angry. The guy was an , but damn man, the injustice of it all was infuriating.
Anyone here read Greg Iles? If not, you may want to give him a try?

I'm getting ready to hit the hay and continue with "The Narrows" by Michael Connelly ... his Hieronymous "Harry" Bosch series is top notch, IMO.

Yes it did make me angry but keep in mind Grisam is a hysterical liberal. I don't know how much of his stuff you can believe. This book Iám reading now ( Dumas Key) by Steven King takes several shots at Republicans, the Prez and even poor old Toby Keith. I guess King wants to make sure all his Hollywood butt buddies know he is a member in good standing. The book is starting to turn out to be good but who wants to drop twenty some bucks to be insulted? Glad I got mine at the library.

Last read Dreams From My Father, now I'm reading Audacity of Hope, both by Barack Obama. I have Profiles in Courage by John F. Kennedy and will be the next book I read.
