The Florida defense, and speed on offense keeps the game closer than expected. Bucks still win, 23-17.

You know what I'm sick of...

I'm sick of having to hear sports writers and 'experts' talk about how fast UF is... how hard a schedule they played... and today I heard a guy on sports radio say how OSU hasn't played anyone?!?! WHAT?

His arguement was we played a UT game against a team that ended up losing 3 games... and UM who got hammered by USC so they obviously suck LMAO... right...

I'm so ready for this game. I know UF is good but I hope we come out fast and hard and play the best damn game we've had all year.

In the 4th overtime, Troy Smith runs the statue of Liberty, with Ginn to the left of him. He hands the ball too Ginn, who starts too run, but stops, throws a Jump pass too Barton who was Tackle eligible on a two point conversion to win the National Championship.

I know what your are talking about Jay.

I work in an office with about 30 die-hard Gator fans and it is often amazing how they run their mouths about how goood the Gators are and about how their defense is going to shut the Buckeyes down................due to their speed!

I have a very nice television with HD..................but I am not staying home for this one................I am going to venture out to the local sports bar...............filled with Gator fans.....................wearing my nicest OSU Buckeye t-shirt.............being the proud Buckeye fan that I am!

I will be doning my Buckeye beads all day Monday as well!

I have a feeling that I will watch many of them venture out of the bar early............with disappointing faces as the Buckeyes run away with the win!

I know that I have to be careful..............many down here are rednecks, and would love to put up a fist-fight............that is not my style so I will be chilling big time for this game!

One thing for sure..................my DVD will be recording this game..............as I will offer plenty of handouts to may co-workers later during the week!

GO BUCKEYES!

many down here are rednecks,

Let's don't confuse "down here" and 'rednecks" with jerks.

I live "down here"(Tennessee) and would call myself a "redneck" but I sure as heck am not about to fight someone because they root for another team.

Jerks come in all shapes and sizes, from all parts of the country. I am sure some dude walking into some bar in Ohio wearing Gator blue could face the same challenge.

That is why we as fans should respect all other fans and stand up for them wherever we are when we see them getting undue harassment.

And rooting and cheering for their team isn't due reason.

I spend a bit of time in Seminole. My folks retired in Indian Rocks Beach and have a brother living in Seminole who I visit fairly often.

Where do you go....maybe I know it or have been there??

Hey Peen - what part of Tenn are you in? Gotta be a bit tough being a Gator fan in Tenn if you're on the East side. (with all the Vols)

I found out a long time ago that the best way to do football parties, is with your own fans. One year our local Brown's Backers Club and the local WhoDey Club rented a hall and had a joint football party for a Browns/Bungles game... after 6 fights and 12 arrests... the party closed down midway through the third quarter....

Have fun with the Gators....but be careful.... those teeth may be sharp

I am not good at picking numbers, but I will say that Ohio State should win by 2 touchdowns. The only concern I have is that we have waited [color:"white"] 50 days between games. As a fomer player and coach....I know that is not good.

This bowl schedule is so out of whack. [censored] pencil necks who sit behind desks figure this out. Brilliant.

[color:"white"] Can't argue with that. The only good thing about the timing is that Spring practice is right around the corner. (after a couple of months of Spring Training and the Reds toying with actually contending ).

I'm with ya on the media hype Jay. Big Ten is still slow...right? Ask Arkansas and Tennesee. I think I remember something about the Canes being fast...lmao. No matter....I think it's going to be a fun game to watch.

I don't think 50 or 30+ makes that much of a difference! We had the same relative layoff against Miami if I am not mistaken (# of days difference of playing between both teams).

The fact that Florida has gone up against some great D's this year concerns me...especially them spreading out the field just like we do. That worries me.

I'm getting pretty nervious, a month ago I was pretty confident, but now I'm nervious, maybe that's a good thing bc I was just as nervious against Miami.

I'll be at my father-in-law's bar in Veracruz, Mexico representing the OSU and recruiting some Mexicans along the way as Bucks fans!!!

I go to various sports bars all over the Tampa Bay area...................most favorite is Barnacles in Brandon......................it is a huge place with over 400 televisions!

Owner of the place is John Smoltz of the Braves.

I have heard recently that Buffalo Wild Wings, across the street from Barnacles is a Buckeyes bar................never actually checked it out!

I most likely will be watching Monday at the local Beef O'Bradys here in Temple Terrace....................just a little walk down the road!

GO BUCKEYES!

I am in the south east corner on the Georgia line.

My wife is a Tennessee grad so I have to deal with Vol fans everyday.

No question the Vols dominate, but in this location, there are many Georgia fans, and the Alabama state line is maybe 25 miles away, so there are a good number of Bama fans as well.

If you walk through the mall and count team hats and shirts, it probably breaks down

Vols70%
Georgia20%
Bama 10%

Assuming you use 100% as the basis for those 3 teams.

Ga tech has a pretty good following around here as well.

Well I was EXTREMELY worried about this game 2 weeks ago. Ohio State was the heavy favorite to win, and Florida was the team that wasn't even supposed to be in this game ... And we all know that's an instant recipe for disaster. (See: Bowl, Fiesta 2003; Bowl, Rose 2006; Bowl, Fiesta 2007)

However, after Michigan got their butts handed to them by USC, and Boise State knocked off OU ... suddenly the press is jumping onto the Florida bandwagon. Maybe not en-masse ... but just enough so that it isn't a super-underdog-with-no-respect-wins scenerio. I'm feeling a lot better about OSU's chances now.

I'm tired of OSU fans with statements like this But seriously.. Let me make it clear that I will be rooting for Ohio State tomorrow night, but as a Kentucky fan, I watch the SEC all year long. I think Ohio State is by far better than any other team in the country, but if you think Ohio State could go through the SEC undefeated, like they did in the Big Ten, you are mistaken. I think Ohio State is obviously better than everyone else, but to play the schedule of the SEC week after week after week, there would be a loss in there somewhere along the way. Let's face it, you don't play teams like Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia (who showed they aren't a pushover by beating VT), Kentucky (who also showed they aren't a cakewalk by beating Clemson) week after week in the Big Ten.

I agree with you - the SEC is the toughest conference in football this year... I think it's possible to go through the SEC undefeated (hell UF should have done it) but it's very very tough...

and Kentucky is still a cake walk

I want it to be a good game, but I'm afraid that the Gators are going to get blown out.

What I want:

OSU: 24 - 21.....game-winning fieldgoal.

What we're going to get:

OSU: 38 - 17.....domination.
