Poor girl. The car she got for her birthday was the wrong color.

Easy solution ...ask her friend next to her if she has a problem with the color red. If she says no then say " Happy Birthday " and give the car to her and tell your daughter that she is assed out.

Scenes like this make me wish we were still in the age where you had to be moe self-reliant. Raise your own food, and make due with what you have.

Then pathetic creatures like this might die off.

I love the fact, the brother keeps on taping. I can feel him thinking, the whole world is gonna see you for what you are . The old man is exposed too. What a wanker. " just give it drive, sit in it, come on honey, you don't know how hard it was to find this color" begging his girl too accept the new car.

My Dad rocked. My first car was a 1972, 4 door Nova. Slant 6, and went down the road like a drunk dog. I had too make payments, and pay for the increase in his insurance. I thought he was a jerk, back then, but boy was I wrong.

There's no way that kid would ever get another gift from me until she learned a lot. She wouldn't have to worry about that "awful" car for long because she'd be watching it pull away either back to the dealer or to be sold. Then she'd be taking a walk or a bus at least once a week to some volunteer organization where there are people who really need help.

What the dad should do is give his children the Warren Buffett treatment. Provide a comfortable life and pay for their college, after that cut them off and no more help and donate the rest of the money to charity. People like this make me sick.

I wonder if this is real.....

On a side not, I started driving in1984. I "got" my dad's 1980 Plymouth Horizen, 4 dr. 4 speed - 80,000 miles.....Great, I thought, I have a car!!!! (never once thought I needed something "better". 2 1/2 yrs. later, I'm getting ready to go to college.....Packing my car......Dad comes out and says "what are you doing?" Packing, dad, duh....

"No, you're not taking that to college. That stays here."

It's real, but you may wonder if you'd like. He also made me pay $100 a month rent when I turned 18. I forgot too add, that when I was 22, and went too buy my 1st new car, he forked all the money over that I had paid him. He kept track of it, plus interest. It came out too around 6 grand. He told me he knew I wouldn't be able too save money, when I was 16 so he did it for me. He waited until I settled down a bit, too give it back.

Sheesh.. my first car was a 1966 Plymouth Fury III. I had to pay for it and pay the insurance and let me tell ya.. I treasured that car. Course.. I was in HS and that car had a back seat that put most couches to shame LOL...

Just clicking...

I'm wondering if this is real or not.

If it is, that is truly a shame.

Kids are a product of the way they are raised and it is hard to undo once those wheels are set in motion.

Things like this really explain a lot when it comes to the differences between people.

What I think is sad is that everybody here,at least most, think the blame goes on the girl. While IMO,the fault lays squarely on the parents.

She didn't just wake up one morning like this. She should have been raised better than to be this way. It's sad that her parents created a monster.

He, He 4 doors surely had an advantage in that regards. That ole Nova took a beating. I sank it, flew down railroad tracks, 60 miles an hour, drove it 15 miles overheated, and put over 100,000 miles on it, after I got it. My buds called it the Green Turd, and the Tank. I sold it back too my Dad, when I was 18, and bought it back, when I was 20. When I sold it, to a neighbor guy, it had over 250,000 miles on it.

This just goes to show what years of watching MTV and "My Super Sweet 16," and "The O.C.," and "The Simple Life," and all that other crap that encourages people to place unecessary value on material possessions.

I can't stand the materialism tha saturates our culture.

Louis Vutton, Coach, Prada, Tommy Hilfiger, Bentley, Sean John, Calvin Klein, etc, etc.

Its so stupid. People that live their lives infatuated with this type of crap are horrible people. They encourage this kind of behavior.

Its one thing to be wealthy, its something else to be a stuck up piece of garbage.

I blame materialism, and network TV. People like Simon Cowell who make a living being overly judgemental, catering to people who can't help but be entertained by other peoples shortcomings.

I don't like the idea of cool and hip and style--its ridiculous, these are words that are meant to do nothing but take your money.

These labels and things are nothing more but ways to deceive, covering up reality with a false image. Horrible.

I hope people that buy into this kind of thing get cancer and die.

I think its fake....JMO Not so much for the subject of a girl being that spoiled, but the dialog between the father and son seems fake. Trust me, my daughter is 17 right now and many of her friends have brand new very expensive cars their Mommy and Daddy bought with insurance paid and a gas card. Me, I'm a bad parent, I made my daughter get a job at Ruby Tuesdays and she pays me a car payment every month to drive one of my cars and pays for her own insurance and gas.

Blaming it on television is simply a parental cop out. I watched the Rifleman,The Wild West,Gunsmoke,Death Valley days and TONS of violence on TV growing up. Would that be any excuse for me being a mass murderer? I don't think so.

Parents can cantrol what their kids watch if they so choose to excercise that control. Do you blame the television shows? Or the parents who permit their kids to grow up in a dream world? Once again,I believe that responsibilty falls right back into the laps of the parents.

Seen it happen... went to school with a bunch of rich kids and saw a many displays like this with cars, trips, and other stuff. Raise your kids right people.

I was driving a 1983 volvo bought at a auction for nothing. The paint color was ductape, cuz this is what really held the car together. It would overheat during the summer and drink coolant like a diabetic. It was a terible, but I rocked in like a rolls royce.

No not everyone does. I said what I would do meaning that the parents obviously aren't instilling proper values and iam said the whole family needs a beatin'. The parents created a spoiled brat but the girl was old enough to start to learn a better way the son seemed to have learned differently. People can't blame their parents for their behavior their entire lives at some point they have to start to take responsibility for their own actions.
