I'm in Westerville (NE suburb of Columbus). 3 coworkers and I tried for a while to get through and the lines were almost always busy but one of us got through twice. Turns out they are honoring the deal here. It's one pizza per order so she ordered one each time she got through. The wait is 3 HOURS and it's pickup only. Two people are going to pickup, one for each pizza. I'll have to eat something before then, but hey, it's some cheap dinner to take home. . .

Lady I work with said her husband just called in and said that he passed a PJ's here on the East side and said the line was 200-300 deep.

Plus, They are going to write if off the donating the 10k plus .23 for every pizza sold... so it's not really as much of a loss. only 1/2 of their actual costs. so if it costs them 2.00 to make the pizza. they are only losing a 1.00 after the write off.
Also factor in They get the advertising for it... and save face or
all of their chains loose a ton of money because people start to boycott the local franchises. Which could last a very long time... especially in Cleveland

Saw a teaser for the Channel 3 news. Looks like people are taking this WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to seriously! They showed a clip of some dude being cuffed and stuffed outside a Papa John's. Not sure why yet though.
Yes, it's cheap pizza folks, but it's JUST PIZZA!

You got that right, is it really worth 2 hours in line for a $10 pizza? My wife and I drove right past Papa Johns and that madhouse to enjoy a nice lunch at Bucca de Peppas. Granted the pizza me and my son split cost $14 but it was way better than a PJs Pizza.

I was going to go get a pizza. I called the local PJs and they said it would be a 6-hour wait. Not even close to worth it. I mean, I love a bargain, but not that much. I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a pizza from another place in town tonight, because I can't think there is a lot of pizza business elsewhere right now.

Same deal in Mentor. Went over and there was at least a 2 hour wait.
For one pizza? No thanks. I don't care how 'cheap' it is.

I'm sorry, but only a total loser would wait in lines that long for a freaking pizza.

You know, out of the chain pizza places, I think I like them the best. But, I do like a sweeter sauce so that's probably one of the reasons.

I've never had a pizza from Papa John's is it any good? Either way though it isn't worth the wait. This reminds me of the uberdorks who dress up for the next Star Wars movie or Harry Potter movie, I don't understand where people can find time to do such things.

The sauce is a little too sweet for my taste. But a lot of odd people like it as witnessed above.

IF I get a papa john's pizza I always order light sauce. That way I don't have to have that sweet taste for long. I prefer Gionino's Pizza over any pizza...their sauce does NOT have as much sugar as other places. Reason I know this, I used to work with one of the founders of Gionino's. He uses the same recipe with a few tweaks to it that we used at the pizza shops we worked at in Akron.

Well, to each his own. I have to be careful of the pizza sauces.....my delicate stomach gets upset with some of the sauces that pizza shops use.

My wife does as well. I wonder if it's the sauce, too. I know she loves the garlic butter, but both her grandmas made a sweeter pasta sauce, especially the one who passed away.
There's a Papa John's right down the road, but it burnt up. They haven't finished redoing it yet.
