I grew up with Labs, but I'm currently sans pets of any kind. My wife is allergic to almost any kind of pet dander, so we decided early on to bag the whole pet thing. My son did have a hamster at one time and, for a rodent, he was a pretty entertaining little guy. However, most dogs (any kind that I'd actually want to own, anyway) and all cats are out of the question.

None for me! I like my house to smell nice and I don't like fur all over my clothes or teeth marks in my shoes. I love animals, just not in my house.

I would never want to live without pets, I love them. Dogs, cats, birds and fish. That's all, unless our new house has some acreage.

Two parakeets, Marley and Hendrix. I really love dogs but our apartment building charges $200 a month for them and that's not possible for me right now..plus there's a size limit and I want a big dog.

Got 2 dogs. Banjo is a Maremma Sheepdog. He had an operation yesterday to remove some kind of lump on his paw so he's feeling a bit sorry for himself. Back last year we took in a Border Collie X who'd been abused in the past. That's Bella, great dog but has trust issues with strangers (non agressive just petrified....probably for good reason) also has nervous agression towards other dogs but we're working on it. We left a cat in the UK (ie dumped it on the in-laws) and i've had my fair share of exotic lizards in the past also. Growing up, always had dogs and cats. Don't think there was ever a period when we didn't.

I have a little girly dog. I wanted a Lab but my wife bought a Cockapoo.
I had a cat, but Clay ate it.

Dog. My puppy Rottweiler who is now 9 months old. I like to call her a Teacup Rott as she isn't very big...maybe 72 lbs. But she is the prettiest Rott I've ever seen. And she is a sweetheart too.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Dog...the cutest pug ever but he's the biggest alpha pug I've ever seen because he's large for a pug.
He has dominance issues and marks his territory despite being neutered.

A dog being neutered has nothing to do with them marking their territory. They mark their territory by urinating.

I currently own Dilbert. A neutered 12 lb gray kitty with front socks and a blaze.
He's a rescue too
Growing up in Cleveland Hts in an apartment I couldn't have a pet but my dad was fond of parakeets. Since then I had several dogs mostly mutts; Cats all strays.
There was a ferret I studded out once. Never again. that Jill could be heard for two blocks. S parakeet or two.
