These Yankee announcers are so freakin annoying. I love MLB extra innings but hate to listen to some of the moron announcers that are littered throughout the majors. They were just talking about Carmona like he was making his 3rd major league start. Saying how bad of a start he's off to (3-1 and a 2.60 ERA sure isn't what it used to be ) and how he hasn't proven anything as a pitcher even though Cleveland just resigned him to a new deal.

Surprise, surprise...3 innings in and our offense is clicking on all cylinders. One hit and no runs. And if it wasn't for Francisco, we'd have no hits. Over/Under on runs scored by the Indians this game - I'd set it at 1.5....and then take the under. Something needs to happen to wake our hitters up!

Yes, I believe so and with special guest David Cone. They are both horrible play by play guys.
Makes you really appreciate STO. Definitely looking in to direct TV next year as I'd love to just watch all the games on the Indians network.
Good to see Jhonny P coming through. Just crushed that to right center.

Going to need a hit here if we have any plans on winning this game. I don't think we can expect a run to tie in the 9th off Mariano.
Come on Franklin!

Gavin Floyd has a no-hitter going through 8 innings in Chicago. If you can, try to find it on TV.

Raffy with the save! Joba with the blow job!
Nice win, we needed this. Still not hitting the ball like we need to, but the pitching is saving our behinds.

I'm over in Wrigleyville right now, near the Sheridan Red Line stop (about 3 blocks north of Wrigley Field). I'm moving to Lincoln Park in June though, near the North and Clybourn area....just north of Old Town.

Haha, of course. Are you in the city or out in the suburbs? A few of my friends and I always go to Cubby Bear every Sunday for the Browns Backers watch parties. It was pretty funny to watch the place fill up from week to week. By seasons end, they're were probably about 2 1/2 times the number of people that were there for the first few games of the season.

Nice first inning! Get a quick run and then 3 quick outs for Lee!
I'm excited. This is the first time I've seen Lee this year!

Loved the aggressiveness in the 4th!!! Even if he gets thrown out, with the kind of pitching that's going on tonight 1 or 2 runs can win this thing... so very nice call to send him.

What a great outing[again] by Lee. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end the season as one of the top pitchers[wins, Ks, ERA]. He has the stuff and last year was a great learning experience that has him back better than ever.

What's up with him...I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I'm starting to really believe he's overrated. Only time will truly tell, but he needs to pull it together.

Hafner needs to start hitting the ball where its pitched. He's not a dead-pull hitter, but you can see him trying to jerk everything. When he was coming up he was a lot like a young Jim Thome, hitting the ball to all fields. You could always tell when Thome was coming out of a slump when he would start hitting line drives to left and center. The trouble is that Hafner is not a a young player anymore ... he's 29-30 now and should have made the necessary adjustments. But for about a year now, he just hasn't. Its a worry, and I can't help wondering if his shoulder, or elbow, or the hand he broke are healthy.

I can tell you "get it" Jay. Your exact thought crossed my mind right as I was watching that play.
We also seem to be putting runners in motion more lately, which is nice to see. Its cool, cause in doing so I have noticed us stay out of 3-4 double plays. Obviously Wedge is trying to be more aggressive with this bad hitting, and that's really all we can ask.....

Well, so much for the series sweep. What is with Byrd and Giambi? The guy's hit what, 3 homers off him this season? Yeesh!
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Maybe Byrd needs to go back on HGH. He throws meatballs. But he's got a tough double wind up!

Byrd hasn't been great but a 4 ERA from a 4th/5th starter isn't too bad. Mussina has a higher ERA but it 5-3......Byrdie is 1-3.
Plus, Paul has 3 tough luck no decisions this year. Realistically, he should be 4-3. In those 3 no decisions, he gave up 1 run in 20 2/3 innings and has nothing to show for it. Damn Bullpen.

Yeah, Byrd actually hasn't pitched bad at all. I was just trying to get a laugh. He has to rely on pitching smart and spotting his pitches, because he definitely can't overpower anyone.

J-Mike's finally gone...We probably ended up with Steely McBeam as the PTBNL. When you get traded (along with cash) for a player to be named you're essentially done in the majors. It's like paying someone 20 bucks just to take your old TV off your hands.
