I am having problems trying to attached a Wordperfect .doc document to a Yahoo (beta) email.
It was loading for about an hour and I forgot about it! Tried two or three more times and nothing. Do I need to upgrade to a different writer or what? I'm positive it's not a connection problem. I am still stuck in the year 2000, which I guess is bad when it comes to computers.

Any advice?

Maybe try to save the document in rich text format. Most programs can open those files, regardless of what was used to make them. Since you are trying to upload it, I am not sure if it will help or not, I just thought maybe it was having problems since it was a Wordperfect document.

Thank you so much. I will try that. There are instructions that say:
".doc., .pdf, .rft, .txt, .htm or .html file type only"

Do you think "RFT" is a typo and they meant "RTF" or is there something else?

I would guess that RFT is the same thing. Different programs may call it Rich Format Text or something, but I am not 100% sure. If I were you, I would just save a 2nd copy on your computer as the RFT and then try to upload it. If that doesn't work then just delete the new file. I don't upload with email much, just trying to throw some ideas out that may be of some help.

I appreciate it! I don't do it much either I wish I could just cut and paste it into the body... but rules are rules.
I tried that and still nada. I may try it on a different computer or different email server.
Thanks again!

Knights of Columbus!! I saved it as a draft and switched to Yahoo Classic. When I opened it to try again.... they were all on there! All it kept saying in beta was "scanning and uploading". It never said complete. wow.

Just goes to show you that new doesn't mean better.

I am sorry for laughing but I do know what you are going through. I have yet to upgrade either of my primary e-mails to beta. Don't want the stress and hassle.

But you may want to look at upgrading from wordperfect which very few companies use anymore to Microsoft Word. Works just as well as perfect but alot easier to use.
