Since I'm not a good candidate for LASIK (vision is too bad so too much cornea has to be lasered off), I am contemplating getting Visian ICLs (Intraoccular Collamer Lenses). In a nutshell, its bascially an implanted contact lense.

Has anyone here had this surgery or know someone who did?

I'm going for some prelim testing on Wednesday just to see if I'm a candidate. Its a scary thought about screwing around with the eyes, but its also an exciting thought to not having to deal with contact lenses ever again.
