Independence Day. It's when I get to see the vast majority of my family. That, and Christmas.

My father was in the Navy growing up so we didn't live near family. But we always made it a point to get togther with my grandparents and sometimes other family during the Christmas holiday. I have so many fond memories growing up of Christmas. It's without a doubt, my favorite. Especially getting to watch the Browns with my dad and grandfather.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

I love Christmas, my wife as well. Our daughter was 18 months this Christmas and she loved it. It's a fun time. I get to see all of my family together, get to watch my daughter all excited as she opens gifts, and eat lots of good food.
I enjoy Christmas shopping as well for my wife, daughter, and my mom, dad, brother and sister. We still buy each other gifts, and I enjoy taking my time and finding stuff for them. I spend probably more money than I need to, but it's ok. By far my favorite holiday.

Christmas.
I can feel the magic in the air the whole month of December, something about it makes me in a better mood than I usually am come winter time.
And no, it's not because of presents.

Nope, I don't see it listed. I do, however, see "April Fools Day" listed which is not a holiday.

Well, since we only get to pick one, I'd have to say Easter (the most important day for Christians). Holy Week is something I look forward to each year. Christmas would be a very close second, however.

But I added April Fools Day specifically for you. I am well aware of Armed Forces day, I served my country for 20 years, you?

I'm aware of your service and thank you. That's why I was shocked that you didn't include it but had such days as April Fools Day and "May Day.'"
May Day???? LOL
I served for 8 years in the Army and 1 year in the OANG, and am a proud member of the American Legion as well as the VFW.

Well thank you as well for your service.
But let me ask you this...
Is Armed Forces Day your favorite holiday? Somehow I doubt it. Being as such you must just scrutinize my list just to bust my balls, instead of just voting for your favorite holiday as was the intent of this post.
We all, well maybe not you, but the rest of the human race does make mistakes or oversights on occasion.
So please in the future if you would, after you scrutinize anything I write, PM me and if within the time limits I will make any corrections that are needed instead of disrupting the intent of the thread.

With polls on here like the vehicles you own, and this one, people can't help but laugh. There's like 20 choices each. In the vehicles thread the poll writer skipped Chevy and Dodge. Your poll here didn't skip anything major, but com'on man, don't you find it a little silly to post all the choices you did?
I actually like the poll idea, and voted.

Yes, I admitted my major oversight and I actually laughed at myself with that blunder.
Chevy and Dodge = major blunder.

Christmas is all about buying presents, traveling to the in-laws and it's cold. The 4th is fireworks, cookouts, mostly just the core family are invited and it's ALWAYS warm. Good stuff!

Thankgiving hands down. Though last fourth of July was one of the most memorable family holidays we;ve ever had.
My cousin came up from Hawaii with his polynesian wife, and apparently polynesians love to eat. The whole day my cousin and his wife and my aunt and uncle cooked. We had piles of Ribs, Chicken breasts, and Crab legs!!
We have this July 4th celebration every year, and often the neighbors stop in and grab some food---this year the excess was epic. Everyone was amazed as the food just kept on piling up. Everyone would eat til they were stuffed, but the hawaiians just kept cooking. Non-stop from noon til about 11pm. It was awesome.
Pair that with a few cases of beer and a whole bunch of mortars that lit up the sky---easily one of the best holidays ever. We went through a bunch of Black powder to, shooting off our cannon that the old man made---it shakes the ground all around it. If you are standing behind it you can actually feel the shockwave!!!
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

Don't think I attacked you..., as far as "rwading whats written"..... "Do you see it listed? Nope, no Armed Forces day." seems pretty straight forward.

Is this what you consider an attack?
You asked a question. I answered it.
Now if by chance Armed Forces Day is your favorite holiday (which we both know it isn't) you could have just said..."Armed forces day is my favorite holiday but it isn't listed." But I suppose that would make too much sense.

Here' let me break it down further for you then since you only hit on the first bit.
*You made poll * I asked question * You answered it wasn't there *I expressed disbelief with rolly eyes/provided link since someone posted they had never heard of it *You responded with attack about April Fools Day.
Kinda like how you responded with the attacking poll when I stated in your other poll that you didn't think prior to posting them. That was an educated observation on things that had been posted, ya see??? To start a poll on vehicles yet leaving out 2 of the big 3 in this country is a huge oversight that displayed to me that you didn't think things through, and you attacked me for doing so. I questioned how a veteran with 20 years service could run a poll asking about "favorite holiday" yet leave out Armed Forces Day but include such great days as April Fools and May Day, and I get attacked again.

I have very fond memories of Armed Forces Day. In the units I was stationed in, we always had good observances and displays for it where the public was educated on new weaponry/technology that was very interesting for them, at least through all of my interactions.
My favorite? No......But again, all I did was express shock at how you could omit it from such a lengthy list. You took it from there......

It's obvious as all hell that you just love to follow him around to try to get a rise out him.

This comment sums up my feelings about him. By adding the word "you" says it all to me. We all know he served, but I take the last word as a slap. How dare you mention anything about something service related, especially if you didn't serve.
Being that you served, you know some of the jokes made about lifers. I think Navy fits some of those jokes.

You are so gosh darn cute. I love when this photo comes out!
Me, I picked Veteran's Day. I take my dad to lunch or do something nice. Nobody else does anything so I get him all to myself! LOL Pretty much no other holidays really mean a lot to me aside from the military based ones. Everything has been so commercialize, or I've become bitter.... nobody really seems to talk or think about the meanings anymore... I was watching a weather report the other day and one channel used an american flag icon for monday, one channel used a charcoal grill. Totally ridic.
