LOL, now that's a skill. Maybe we should pay him to show up at the Modell residence, then they can all duke it out.

I don;t need to shoot foul shots Fletch...I'm dunkin on you all day.

Jeez, its unfair that I'm portraying you in a certain light despite the fact I don't know you. Man, that must suck. Good thing someone like you would never do that hey?

I don't blame Fletch one bit. He does jump all over Ammo, but not all posters who are young and brag about drinking. Some of us have grown very tired of all Ammo's big talk. I notice it more from him then others. He gets on here and says some of the most assinine things, then uses he was drunk as an excuse.

I have told Ammo that I actually think he is very intelligent. His writing ability is top notch. That makes it all the more frustrating to read his crap. The kid is full of potential, and gets on here and acts like a fool. I know what it's like to away my life at an early age, I really don't care to read how he may be going down the same path.

If you think you're dunking, you've got another think coming.

I don't have time to go into details now - but let's start at the beginning. Ammo says his roomie is behind on rent. Ammo says the management company is upset....ammo says mom and dad own the apartment complex - they are the landlords....then ammo says he's broke, yet he has a new phone, goes out drinking whenever he wants and brags about it, then the roomie is so far behind on rent, but then getting $300 is great for ammo, he's making money on that, even though he's going to split it with his 2 other roomies, 1 of which isn't paying either, Yet somehow the $300 is going to cover back rent, back utilities, and still leave enough left over to "make a profit".

Then, we find out ammos parents don't own an apartment complex, they bought a condo. With a condo, their is no rent - sure, a mortgage payment, but obviously ammos parents are taking care of that....things in ammos story just don't add up. He CAN do this since his parents own, but he CAN'T do that cause of the management company.......it goes on and on and on.

I"ll have more later.

Fair enough P. I respect your view.

However, my end of the stick is that Fletch shows a total disregard for the younger generation at all. Sure, Ammo can be a clown. But its more or less harmless stuff. When Fletch starts attacking his integrity and life, despite the fact that the guy is in university and, by all accounts, doing fine, it annoys me.

He's arrogant and close-minded. That's why I think Fletch is unjustified in the garbage he spouts.

Yeah it's better than this stalking freak who has sent me 9 pm's today becuase he didn't like how I responded to him on a certain thread. Ammo can act childish at times but it's nothing compared to this fruit loop

Near as I can tell Arch the only person talking about how he goes out to bars all the time and has an expensive phone in this thread is you. Ammo came on here looking for advice on how to get a roommate out of his place.

As for the finances, I don't exactly understand what his arrangements are. I can, however, tell that he doesn't keep very good track of where his money goes. Hell, maybe that'll be his next post....asking for budget advice.

I can vouch for you when you say the house your parents own isn't special (in terms of size or price). I don't know about them owning anything in Athens county.

Also, why have you never mentioned your brother in my wrestling threads?

pdawg,

um, have you met him in person or seen his house? it's pretty awesome. but that's just my take on it.

if you ever run into my cousins let them know what's up.

Funny, isn't that what you are doing yourself? And isn't that basically the same response Ammo gave you?

He did say that he was done posting on the matter. After that, he is continued to be called out after seeing a thread full of one sided crap. Now neither poster is responding and people are taking sides. Nothing is going to be changed.

I find it amusing how long this thread has been. I guess I am guilty of throwing my 2 cents in just to see more bickering.

Bottom line, If you throw someone out, and make a profit off of $300. Then you did so prematurely, possibley illegally. If lawyers got involved; which they have better things to do, maybe Judge Judy; then Ammo better hope the person he threw out doesnt read this thread. Because then he would have a pretty good allibi. Especially since the guy would have proof that he wasnt that far behind on rent, didnt get the proper legal notice, and he was kicked out when others also were behind on rent and they werent kicked out. Ammo just gave up his whole case. Especially since he claimed to make a profit on the security deposit. To make a profit means that he kept more then what the guy owed. He would get his money back in a heart beat.

Ammo- you going to take mommy and pappy with you to Chicago to help your court case

In all honesty, unless you were lying about the profit, be a man and give the profit to the person who deserves it. you and your roomies dont deserve it just because you guys had to put up with him . Thats not just cause in any courtroom or any adult matter . Your parents should know better then to let you have any of it. But you do need the money to go back home to see them. They know someone has to nurse you.

If you be a man and give him the profit that you would have made, then you are in the right and shouldnt have to worry about him threatening you. If he still threatens you, you are right and he is wrong.

If I have the story straight this is a off campus apartment. They are all going home for the summer so their lease for this year is up. The dude Ammo is talking about is not being allowed to come back next year because they dont like him. Ammo is keeping his security deposit to pay unpaid utility bills.

And I still think Ammo should sleep with one eye open

I find Ammo amusing personally. If he bothered me half as much as he seems to bother Fletch, I'd just block him and be done with it. I mean that's the whole purpose of this thread the ongoing drama with those 2 is so unnecessary.

my take on this is....

he's lucky to have a place to live in, a bed to sleep on, and food and water. My home country, the Phillipines, had none or poor levels of those things even though I was fortunate to be adopted at age 1.
I try not to take things for granted, and I don't think he does (I know him in person but as fletch said I'm new and haven't seen him post so who knows). But I try to be fair and from what I know he does not seem materialistic. I know I have a decent life saving up money but every day I look at the mirror and remind myself that I'm lucky and that there's many MANY people who are living on the street. It's hard and I make mistakes and take things for granted and slip up.

There have been great takes across the board. This thread is one of the more interesting. what are the odds you'll get discussion about apartments and roomies on a sports message board? apparently good.

I am living at home to save up money the past 2 years I've been out of college. It's DEFINITELY not socially cool, but in my career field you don't make much so you gotta start somewhere. Ammo is smart enough not to use the dorms, which are expensive.

That being said, I am moving out soon, so I'm familiarizing myself with apartments, leasing, utilities, etc. There's so much to learn.

As long as nobody gets hurt and lessons are learned then this thread will have reached the end of its useful life.

I can't wait for high school football to start, especially West G football. By the way, this is a football forum, right? haha:)

That's EXACTLY it. It's legally a condo unit, owned by us, but managed by the apartment complex itself. They wrote the leases, we signed them.

No one got "kicked out" as much as I wish I could have kicked him out sooner, but we were locked into a lease.

There are numerous clauses in the agreement that say when a landlord can withhold a deposit. He violated one of those clauses. Landlord retains the right to hold onto security deposit in that instance.

I can't believe how ridiculous this thread has become. What started out as me asking for advice turns into yet another thread talking about what a complete immature moron I am when I can promise you that's not even half the truth. Those who know me beyond "teh internetz" know this.

So true about his writing. It's hard to find a gsp error in it. Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation for you writers/journalists/PR people here. He is probably very intelligent grade-wise and I'd venture his IQ is above 125.

When I first saw his blog in '05/06 I was vaguely familiar with him through watching football but I never knew him other than in passing. Then I met him and his family (long story and I won't bore ya with the details). But in all honesty he's a good, strong writer. He knows how to articulate his thoughts. If I didn't know him I'd still say he's a good writer mechanically.

I'm above-average--maybe a 85 if I was a Madden player--about the same as a Pat Willis (49ers) or a Lofa Tatapu (Hawks). But his writing skills, are about 88 to 90th percentile, and while not Shawn Merriman, still good as in Adalius Thomas good. Pretty darn impressive for a young college student still learning the trade.

Patrick Willis and Lofo Tatupu are two of the best ILB's on the game and are both rated over 95 on Madden this year if you want to use that as a scale. But that is completely irrelevent.

I think that Ammo gets more hate on here than he deserves. I have never heard him say anything about driving under the influence as he has been accused of. He has said some stupid things that he deserves to get ripped for and has more than enough.

He got a lot of hate in his 21st birthday thread. He mentioned nothing in that thread that most teenagers his age don't do. And quite a few of them are much worst than him.

There are very few people on here who can say that they have never been extremely drunk, drank before they were legally able to, and done very stupid things. I could quite possibly be much worst than Ammo is when I get to his age and I know of kids who are a lot worst than he is, and younger.

Thanks DeepThreat...I was your age once. I didn't drink. Not a drop. If anything my problem was I was "too uptight about that stuff."

College changes things. It's your time to find yourself, enjoy your friends, don't be careless but don't be too careful. Work hard but play hard too. You have more freedom than you ever imagined, just don't abuse it. I've seen a lot of people waste their lives away and I've seen a lot of people who have yet to live theirs because they live in a self-made cave. It's all about finding the balance.

Or better yet, since you have no clue what you are talking about, as evidenced by you thinking I go to bars and have the latest and greatest phone, etc - perhaps you should follow the thread.

I am NOT the one that brags consistently about the latest phone - I am NOT the one that brags about going out drinking.

Excuse me if I'm out of line here, because I haven't read this entire thread. But I've read the last page and posts here and there, and I can't believe people are making a big deal about other people's lives and choices.

What's it matter to you?

People act like their stuff don't stink around here too much. Posters spending this much time and energy trying to bring Ammo down so to speak are just ridiculous. You guys have nothing better to do? Your so satisfied with your lives that there's nothing more constructive to do or to talk about on here?

Come on.

You read the last page......I skipped the last two.......my 2 cents:

Fletch has had a HO for Ammo since, well, since the first time they posted in the same thread. No reason, really. He just hates Ammo. So he takes any and every chance he gets to take a shot at the kid. It is now bordering on the pathetic. Coachb is the same. He used to actually stalk Ammo, IMO. Although, he hasn't been around much lately, thank God. Shep tends to rip Ammo on a semi-regular basis but isn't quite as vehement. Why 3 "adults" (or more, in this thread) would spend this much time on-line acting like children while taking the kid to task for doing the same thing is beyond me.

Ammo, of course, doesn't help matters most of the time by rubbing his fairly privileged lifestyle in their faces whenever he can. But he is still fairly young and I'd expect a good deal more stupidity from him in this regard than I would the others.

The Ammo critics are usually bitching about his drinking. But rare is the weekend when guys like Beerdowner aren't on here bragging about downing a 12 pack in a two hour binge. Or getting blotto at DTI. Guess it truly is "who you know". JMHO

If I can write a sentence without a spelling error, I'd be happy. For the longest time I would write everything in Word Perfect so I could catch all my mistakes. After a whileI stopped, since it was obvious to everyone I was a dumbass, whether my spelling was correct.

I know you worked for a newspaper in the past. Are you still following that career path?

I think that about sums it up, I could not agree more.

I get the feeling that SOME of the guys that continually follow Ammo around and rip on him:

a) do not have kids

b) have kids, but thier kids are younger and have not been through college

I can only speak for myself, but I know my parents would never judge a kid and his problems from a message board. After raising 3 boys ( I am 25 and have twin brothers that are 21), my parents have had to deal with quite a few things over the years. Me and my brothers messed up quite a bit. All in all, we have turned out just fine, and from what I read, Ammo will be just fine. Bottom line is that Ammo is just a a normal guy who is going through normal stuff for a kid his age..

JMHO

Great post. I agree with it completely. I'm continuously amazed to see some adult posters on this board jump into multiple threads started by Ammo only to give sarcastic or demeaning statements meant to cast him in a negative light. Some are subtle, some more direct. But the intent is always clear. I find this behavior to be pathetic. I've lost a lot of respect I used to have to long-time posters on this board because of it. If you don't care for his style, just ignore him and move on.

Nice post - I won't quote it all so as to save space.

Don't know if I was one of the people you were talking about, but I will say I have a 7 (almost 8) yr. old daughter, and a 20 yr. old son that is in college.

I have a clue about college age males. And, believe it or not, I was one myself a few years ago. (started college in 87 and graduated in 91).

I want my son to have fun in college. He knows there is fun, but there is also work. If ammo was my son............well, let's just say he can be glad he's not my son.

Bottom line is I know what "normal" college kids do, and I know what ammo says he does. There is a difference.

My God. Why can't people just leave the kid alone? If you don't like who he is or what he does, simply don't reply to him. It's really, REALLY simple. I'm tired of watching everyone attack him. And the funny part is the attackers aren't and weren't perfect little angels, either.

So, let's move on with our lives, eh?
