I'm just glad we have at least one news station broadcasting the facts to inform the general public.

It was a segment on body language. I just thought that the fact that they actually threw out the idea of 'terrorism' was ridiculous. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less, it's not the first time they've tried to paint Obama as a terrorist.

Anyways, here's the entire segment if anyone actually wants to read it.

You know what,, I guess athletes, Business people, entertainers, me and many of my friends are all terrorists.

I have not decided who I'm going to vote for yet, but stuff like this is the DUMBEST crap I've ever seen.

My mom, god love her, is 82 years old. She will see this and think for sure, Obama is a terrorist.. Just because he bumped fists with his wife..

My mom also still believes and I doubt anyone could convince her otherwise, that Obama is a Muslim..

She also believes that his middle name, Hussein, is proof beyond all doubt that Obama is somehow tied to the former ruler of Iraq.

All of it, every one of those things, brought up by Obamas opposition and perpetuated by the Press..

It's just like this thing with McCains wife and her millions.. I don't care about her money or how she got it.. she isn't a candidate for President and I don't believe I have any right to know her personal business..

But the Media,, well, they think that everything is fair game.. even when they perpetuate lies or mispresentations..

You wanna know why I hate the media.. you needn't look much further than this

I didn't see anything wrong with the segment either, you see that stuff on every news station. It was the fact that they actually felt it necessary to mention it as a potential 'terrorist fist jab', just to smear his persona even more for the small percentage who would hear that and actually believe. See Damanshots post...some people actually take this crap seriously.

you should have posted the second one the first time around because it actually made some sense and had a topic, the original video didn't. It was just disconnected gibberish.

That said, I don't see anything wrong with it either...

.... but it doesn't mean that he isn't a terrorist.

Looked rehearsed to me. She remembered and he was like "Oh yeah, forgot to do the dumb thing" .... Some of those pics show what he thinks about the "fist jab." Look at his face and tell me thats something he and his wife normally do to show that "theyre proud of the other."

I seriously doubt you what much of the Fox News Channel.

I think the reason "terrorist fist jab" was said, was to sensationalize the segment. She should have never said it, but the whole segment was defending Obama and Bush.

When all the crap was being circulated about Obama and him being a Muslim, anti-American and tied to terrorist types, it was Hannity that came out and defended him. I don't watch Fox News during the day. I watch Britt (who is known to be a professional) for political news. Between 8-10 pm they have opinion shows on. O'Reilly is conservative, but he goes after anyone he thinks is wrong, and always puts on intelligent people with opposing views. Just because someone defends conservatives at times, and attacks liberals, doesn't make him a partisian. He has defended Obama a ton. He has critized the people around him, but has stated the differences. He defended Hillary from what he saw as unfair media coverage in relation to what Obama was getting.

I can't comment on the daytime shows, and I doubt most of them are hard news. I do know Britt's show is, and he is very fair.

Obama's wife was giving his husband friggin "dap" for pete's sake!!! Kinda like saying "alright, let's go get em". Maybe I shouldn't of said this because Fox News will run with my comment as terrorism as well.

that's great that you just heard her say it, dismissed it, and moved on to the meat of the story...but the problem is, there's too many people out there ready to eat that stuff up and run with it, no matter how foolish...

could McCain be compared to Hitler in passing, and then we all just say, 'oh, well, that was sensational, but the meat of it is correct'?...no...it was incredibly irresponsible of the woman, not to mention those that allowed it to air...we censor cuss words on tv, but suggestive lies are just fine and dandy, i guess...

It was a foolish remark to air, no doubt. The actual fist bump was awkward to observe but neither of the 2 BObama or MObama have spent much time on the street as Most Harvard and Princeton grads generally do not.

Her crazy remark reminded me of "Bathtub Boy" Keith Olbermann's alarmist takes!

What is pretty self-explanatory is the extent FOX News goes to show that they're just as silly as CNN and any of the rest of them. Well, maybe not silly, just lazy - filling time with a body language expert seems like a no-brainer. That is, they treat their viewers like they haven't any brains. Instead of this fluff stuff, I wish they give that time to coverage of alternative candidates - those outside of the major 2 political parties.

First, thanks for calling me on it. I think Fox needs to come out with an explanation of the comment. They should also reprimand anyone who allowed such a thing to air.

The point I was trying to get to is that Fox News isn't painting Obama as anything across the board. Again, I only watch Britt for hard news, so I can't speak to the daytime shows, and what is said as opinion, and what is said as fact. I also don't think any of these people spouting off know either.

I do watch some of the opinion shows, andthey are just that, opinions. They have people like Newt and Carl Rove on the payroll, but at least in Carl's case he has been used for inside analysist of the working of politics. That is something he is known for.

Yeah, in other words, they know the successful way to reach 90% of their viewers. Unfortunately, the media, whether left or right wing, knows EXACTLY how impressionable the majority of their audience is.

As for the fist pump deal, it's just a downtime, non-story. That said, the fact that the words "terrorist fist pump" came out of anybody's mouth is idiotic.

P and RALPHIE...

i'm just speaking to the one comment...i don't watch Fox news, so i don't know how they treat Obama consistently...the rest of the piece i agree was fine...well, except that the expert on body language didn't get called on suggesting that the fist bump was a personal thing among the Obama's...PR stunt, plain and simple...and a bad one, at that...his problem politically is not winning over young people, it's winning over old school Dems that Hillary took...if he's gonna pull dumb stunts, he should take a lesson and go drink a miller lite with the good ol boys...

No doubt that Fox leans consistently right or at least consistently away from the established liberal platform.

The O'Reilly factor at 8PM has an average audience of 3-4.5 million viewers and is by far the most watched cable news show in America. It generally beats the other 8 PM show's audience totals combined.

He can be a bully...a pompous ass..at times...but he is a good investigator and is not a Republican shill as so many believe.

His show has had Hillary Clinton on 2 times plus a McCain interview but Obama has failed to live up to his promise to be on air with O'Reilly. I have no doubt that he would be asked tough but fair questions and treated with respect.

on tv, we do NBC nightly news, and some MSNBC...i used to like Chris Matthews a lot...it seems he's more biased than he was in the past, but i still watch Hardball sometimes...i like the guests he's able to pull on there...i also enjoy Morning Joe, for the most part...although i agree with Myka in theory half the time, she's annoying...i like Joe and the variety between Pat Buchanon, Harold Ford, and others...
