To reply to the question of our backup center I believe it was written during one of the recent camps that McKinney was working primarily at the center position.

Hadnot and Tucker at RG. Friedman at LG. Sowells at Tackle and McKinney at center.

If Joes goes down Shaffer moves to LT and Sowells goes to RT.

That's what I remember.

In free agent/offseason terms... it's been AGES since Bentley was released.... I'm starting to think that he isn't going to catch on anywhere.

I was thinking the same thing. He may never play again

Could it be that this is usually teams' "down-time", though? That this is usually when coaches and FO personnel take really their last vacation for the rest of the year?

Maybe there will be more activity after the July 4th holiday?

Just thinking out loud...

"If Joes goes down Shaffer moves to LT and Sowells goes to RT."

possibly on paper via a strict enforcement of the depth chart.

But would only assume that Tucker would go to RT...unless we are talking about a series or two and Tucker was the starting RG...But for a game or longer, I would ASSume that Tucker would go to RT.

JMHO

Perhaps, but it is also the last bit of time before training camps open and there are plenty of teams making moves.

Players are still being cut and signed and extended all over the place.... but there is not even a sniff of a report of there being even a workout for him.... and given how bad some OLines are, that's saying a lot.

The only other thing I can think of is that his agents idea of how he is worth is grossly out of line with what teams around the league would consider for a guy that has been out of football for two years, has a bum leg and can barely run & cut.

If any team thought they had the opportunity to sign a pro bowl center they would have done it by now JMHO.

Anyone interested is definetly wary of him..as they should be..he was better off going through the process here..

Lets just let this thread DROP... lol... personally, Bentley messed up a good thing IMO, and now isn't worth the talk. Let's make a Hadnot thread instead. lol.
