I bought the component cables and switch the wii color to 480 (?) but there is a strange noise coming from the tv when I'm playing and the colors on games are strange (like red showing up has green and such). Can anyone help me solve this problem?

The only thing I can think of is maybe the cables are plugged in wrong since the colors are wrong. Maybe the red cable is plugged into the red audio cable instead of the red video cable?

Sounds like a cable issue to me, as well.

I'm getting the flashing pixel problem, probably due to the unit getting too hot. I'm going to turn off standby on WiiConnect 24, which seems to help some people. Seems I don't get many updates anymore anyway.

It doesn't do HD....I think he meant Wii problems with a HD TV.

Thats what I meant. I spent hours with AT&T and Linksys tec support on the phone and my brain was not working right.

Anyways I did not think there was two red plugs but I did switch them and now it works good.

Do the component cables make a big difference?

People swear by them. I have them, but haven't tested the regular cables to compare. They do say the $8 jobbies on ebay are just as good as the $30 Nintendo set.

Just wanted to say that I FINALLY got a Wii!

After months of checking into stores and searching, I got one from WalMart last night, there was one left and you had to buy the Wii Play with it, which is fine because I was going to buy another controller anyway.

And, why was Wally making a bundle...sounds shoddy to me.

I only played for a minute but its fun, some of the Wii Play games are garbage, but some are really fun. I cant wait until I get to sit down and play for an extended period...or I guess I should say stand up and play for an extend period.

Im not sure why they did that, Luckily I was planning on buying the Wii Play anyways for the extra controller.

How many games use the Nunchuck? Wondering if I should buy another one of those right away.

I understand about having another remote...that's why I bought Wii Play, but I didn't think stores could force bundles that weren't legit from Nintendo. Anyway, I think that bundle is worth it, just odd.

I would get another nunchuck when you see one. For a while they were very hard to find...same with remotes. We have four remotes, three nunchucks, two classic controllers, and two Wii wheels. That works for us. I'll pick up another nunchuck sometime to make it even. I image with the holidays approaching the extras may become harder to find again.
