Eat that LA fans.

It's only a short matter of time till the C's take home the title.

The Celtics picked it up big tonight and pulled off a miracle.

Great job!

I want that city to burn to the ground, I can't stand any of them.

Yea, if it wasn't for the Patriots and the Red Sox, I could root for the Celtics... I'm sick of the whole northeastern United States.

Ditto.

I really don't care for Kobe Bryant. He's a great player, but I don't like the guy.

But I can't stand seeing another Boston championship. Gag me.

Better get used to it!

Then I'm gonna laugh at every idiot on these boards who said that Boston couldn't be LA, that it was going to be 5 or 6 games and LA wins it all. I have a few in mind that I can call out specifically. I said Boston in 6 or 7, and I think I will be right.

Don't doubt my boys! I told everyone we beat LA bigtime in the beginning of the season and I showed everyone our record against the west. People just had to hate instead of congradulate.............the greatest team on the planet

I pretty much agree with you. I remember all the way back before the season when people on here said Boston wouldn't be as good as they were predicted and they went on to win 66 games. Then for the Cleveland series, people on here WAY underestimated the Celtics and thought Cleveland was the better team still. Then Detroit was supposed to expose the Celtics and Boston goes on to beat them in 6. Then Boston wasn't supposed to be able to beat the Lakers because somehow the Lakers were supposed to be a much better team - I still don't see how - and all Boston has done is go to the Finals and are up 3 - 1.

There has been an increase of Boston fans since 2000...

I can't stand either team, just wish the series would have been over in four games so we don't have to hear about it anymore. Not much to say about last night/this morning, good comeback. Why have tip-off at 9:05 during the workweek?

Because that's 6:05 on the west coast and if they started any earlier than that, Will Smith and Jack Nicholson woulnd't have time to get a manicure before the game..

While it might make sense when playing in LA. Why start that late when in Boston? The majority of people in the US live on the east coast so why cater to the ones out west?

And this is why Boston frontrunners are considered garbage.

I hate you Boston...so very very much. I used to somewhat like you, rooting for the Red Sox to beat the Yankees.

Now you've not only made me root for the Bankees, but also for the Giants and the Lakers.

I hate you and your classless fans.

Good day.

Thats funny, I have to admit Boston fans are getting a bit cocky but I still think it is silly to blanket statement on the whole group . I guess I am in the minority in wishing the Celtics to beat the Lakers. I like KG and would never root for Kobe to win another title. He is a great player, but I cant stand him and his me, me attitude. I enjoyed his complete disappearance during the comeback last night.

I'm still pulling for the "meteor."

You know what stinks ... Cleveland was possibly a missed Lebron layup away from winning Game 1 against Boston, and potentially the series. I'm not saying the Cavs are "better" ... but we're probably not as far away as some people think we are.

Incidently ... the Indians were also a few outs away from knocking off the Red Sox, who went on to blow out their opponents in the World Series. I hope this doesn't mean that the Browns will get to the AFC Championship this year and lose with a last second field goal ... and then the Patriots win the Super Bowl.

But I'm with one of the earlier posters. I used to pull for Boston teams back when they were a hard-luck city. Now they seem to be loaded with fair-weather fans ... who are arrogant and feel that it's their divine right to win championships. They almost seem happier with rubbing it in other fans faces rather than celebrating the actual Championship. Now take that, dress them in yellow, and put them on the west coast ... you've got Laker fans.

Like I said, Go Meteor!

I was wondering this last night during the comeback... if the western conference is SOOOO much better than the eastern conference, then how did the Cavaliers and the Atlanta Freakin' Hawks both give the Celtics as much trouble as the western conference champion?

Thanks BrownsBuck.

This thread got quite a reaction. haha

I was merely excited about my team coming back to win a huge game.

I also remember a lot of people not giving Boston a chance. I love my team, watch every game (have for the past four years, and we sucked for two of those four), and this is very big for me.

So yeah, I rubbed it in.......I imagine most people would too.

Go C's baby.

i couldn't agree more, i was actually thinking the same thing as the game ended last night...

first of all, boston deserves credit, they didn't mail it in last night, doc rivers actually looked like a real head coach, and their key guys stepped up, as well as some of their other guys who aren't key (posey, house, brown, etc)

but, i think a lot of us went overboard, as well as some of the media, when the cavs lost that game 7 to boston...

everyone was all "it was lebron out there by himself" or "this guy has no help" which led to the usual, and expected "lebron is gonna leave" talk...

but, we took them to game 7, a team that is most likely going to go on and win a championship, and the cavs had ample opportunities to take boston down, like i said before, the only difference between those 2 teams was home court, had cleveland had it, they would have beaten boston, no doubt.

excl, you bring up the lebron missed layup, but how about the delonte west 3 ball late in game 7? that also was a great opportunity, if he hits that tying 3 (which was a great look, and a great play drawn up by mike brown) who knows what happens?

we're a player away... we've got a good supporting cast, we have our superstar, we're just missing that last ingredient...

i think if we can find that guy, the cavs can take down anyone...

one other thing, while i give doc rivers credit, i don't want to give him too much credit, because i think this series can really point out how overrated coaching is, everyone bangs on mike brown, but it's about the players more than it is about the coaching, doc rivers couldn't even get his team to the playoffs without kg or ray allen coming to town, you gotta have the players in the nba, maybe not so much in other leagues, but in the nba, you have to have at least 2 guys who can carry the load...

as far as boston fans go, i'll eat my crow, i doubted them, but man does it hurt seeing this team on the brink, after we had chance after chance to beat them, and so far, nobody has played boston as well as we have...

i'm not for moral victories, but it's something to think about.

Try 22 almost 23. Although it's funny that you say that since I've been on the boards since.............the year before we got Winslow? So I had to start somewhere close to there

But yeah, I started cheering for them my freshman year of college. It was there that they were covered. I watch every game the same way that I watch every Browns game, and I love my team. I have gone to games at the Garden three years in a row, and I even went to Game 2 vs the Hawks.

So yeah, I'm a real fan. Even if it's only been for four years. I watch more games than most people who call themselves fans. And you're not typing to a 12 year old...........

No he's not, he is simply on here to insult others because he feels superior in some way for jumping on the Celtics band wagon. It's one thing to cheer your team on, it's another to insult people just because they root for a different team.

1. If he was jumping on the Celtics bandwagon, wouldn't he have done it THIS year not 4 years ago???

2. He's not insulting anyone, he IS rooting on his team. Most of the Cavs fans on here that posted during the Cavs-Celtics series were just as bad as he was in discrediting the Celtics. As I posted earlier, Many Cavs fans on this board have been bagging on the Celtics since before the season started. Then during the Cavs series. After the Celtics won, they were upset and said Detroit would easily beat the Celtics (Celtics won in 6), then the same people said that LA would win in 4 or 5 and the Celtics are up 3-1. There has been a lot of Celtics hate on this board.

But he didnt bag on the team his team was playing, or even the team most on here root for. He bagged on all of us by calling us idiots. I can understand him being happy, and could even understand some gloating. Calling us all names was classless. He acted like what people who are complaining about Celtic fans, say Boston fans act like.

I said on this board that my team would play very good defense and that Kobe wouldn't ruin us.

Many on this board said that the Lakers would and that I was just oblivious and a "band wagon fan". Funny how so many were oblivious to our rediculous record against the west this year.

Well I'm not a band wagon fan, and us Celtics fans took a lot of heat from Cavs fans.

Did I directly mean to call everyone on the board idiots: no, I was just gloating in my team's victory (and calling the people who said that my team sucks on the road, and that we wouldn't have a shot against the Pistons after losing to the Cavs). Thinking of it I was probably drinking more than likely. And if I really thought you all were idiots I wouldn't have posted here for so long..........

I am not really linked to Boston teams in any other way than the Celtics either, so don't associate myself and Boston fans. I live near NYC not Boston.

And don't call me bandwagon Squires. How many Cavs games did you miss this year. Because I can count the number of Boston ones on my two hands. Last year when my team was the second worst in the NBA.........how many games did I miss. I can count on two hands, and the only reason this is the case is because I wasn't always able to make it to a bar when I was in CT.

The year before that, the same. So don't question my commitment. Did you see the Cavs in the playoffs, how many times have you seen them over the past five years. I don't live closer than 3.5 hours from it, but I've made it to the Garden the past three seasons. Once during the playoffs.

I'm not saying that Boston teams don't have plenty of bandwagon fans.........

But I'm no bandwagon...............

Pete, I don't personally think the regular season normally carries over into the playoffs. You were using that as a predictor, and it could have easily come back to bite you.

What I have seen in this series is just unprecedented ... I can't remember anything like this ever. Kobe had the whole sports world fooled ... that is a major accomplishment ... that is how good he has been in the playoffs. He even had Vegas fooled as I believe the Lakers have been favored in Games 2-4 and heavily in Games 3 and 4 ... 9.5 and 7.5, respectively, I believe. But I would have bet the moneyline on both as I think the Celtics proved they are just a better team.

However, Kobe was - for the first time in his career - making people really believe he just couldn't be beat. It was justified. Then you add in the Phil Jackson vs. Doc Rivers factor. Hell, only one national analyst that I can recall picked the Celtics to win it all ... T.Legler and that was in 7.

He even had me fooled. I am not a Kobe fan by any stretch, and I'll be happy if he loses, but you got to call it like it is. The guy was playing Jordanesque. Nobody thought he could be beat, including me.

The Celtics are just the better team, and I think it's been obvious in all the games, including Game 3. They are more physical up front ... a little meaner, a little nastier. They are not intimidated by the Lakers and especially Kobe. Their selflessness and team ball looks like it will be rewarded with a championship, and I am going to be happy to see it.

They have played tremendously. I am not a Celtics fan, but I will be glad to see Pierce, Allen, and especially KG get a well deserved ring.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Great post and I understand all of the reasonings you used in the post.

My only major gripe with some people on this board regarding the Celtics is that people have WAY underestimated the talent on the Celtics. KG, Pierce, and Allen were all being discredited as being overrated by several posters.
