Even though Cramps won't be here once his Criminals are Bounced from the PO's (Good Possibility this week Vs Colts) I thought it best to start this thread so upon his Return from Yet another Ban, he'll be greeted with a resounding-- BwahahahahahahahahahahahaBwahahahahahahahaha's
Or something of your Own choosing.

The bar was set last yr when The North Steeler's went on to win it all.
3 yr's ago on this board, Cramps stated when the Steelers finished with a 15 & 1 record only to lose in the AFCCG, that unless you WIN IT ALL, no one remembers, no one cares .

Well its time to put Cramps to the test on that one. In the event Cramps denies he ever said that, I have 2 of posts saved from 04 showing that he did.

All Raven and Cramp haters, please sign in now giving your preliminary thoughts before the Criminals go bye bye.

I'll be perfectly honest here, I think the Colts are toast...I really do.

I hope to God I'm wrong, but judging from Manning's playoff failures, I highly doubt it....

Hey Steel, I was with you all the way until you compared us to the bungles (criminals) ....I knew I would get a laugh from both you and everyone else, however; I think that Christy is right, The Colts will be done after Saturday. This game will be just as big as all of the Steeler/Ravens games have been in the past (of course with some extra, unwanted and media overblown trips to the past)..I would have preferred a Ravens/Steelers playoff over this one, I think it would be a better more physical game. ...Ravens will win though and if they don't, I'll be back to "eat some crow"....... As for Andre, what's up with the bans and suspensions?????

I dunno. I'm not seeing the Colts stopping Jamal Lewis.

The one advantage the Colts have is that Dwight Freeney is the absolute nightmare of Jonathan Ogden.

Not to impose a whole lot of logic into a smack thread.... but Mannings all time playoff qb rating is 87.37... Tom Brady's is 90.45.... think losing some of those playoff games might have something to do with the REST OF THE COLTS?

Question:

What have The Riddler and Ray Lewis got in common?

A. We both jump on the pile and get credited with undeserved Tackle stats?

B. We are both scum sucking low-life murdering bastages?

or

C. We'll both be watching the Superbowl from the comfort of our own homes this year.

Yeah what HelikesSteelramrodsthebest said. It dont matter what place you finish in the division at seasons end. If you cant win a superbowl with the help of the refs, nothing else matters. Like when the Steelers had the least respect after winning the Superbowl from the national media then any other Superbowl winner. They showed their true colors with their offseason laziness because they thought they were that good, or they thought the refs were going to help them out all this season too.

I guess 5 Lombardi's will cause a response like this. As for getting help from the refs in SB 40, do your homework Pal. It was shown in very distinct terms that 95% or better of the calls were CORRECT! But since you obviously live the life of a Caveman what can one expect you to know?

Now i think is a good time to lay some actual FACTS on you and Your kind thus Tearing apart your Little conspiracy theories.

Try to follow ok>>

Lets start with FACTS shall we..

Blockers cannot use their hands or arms to push from behind, hang onto, or encircle an opponent in a manner that restricts movement as the play develops. Whether the hook is a complete circle is irrelevant. I'm talking about the play in question where Haggans was held which is indeed a penalty. The framework of the body doesn't matter if Haggans got grabbed, which he did. Jackson did extend his arm on defensive back Chris Hope. There's no denying that. And if you extend your arm directly in front of the back judge, you're going to get called for it -- especially if you're in the end zone!

Every week on NFL Total Access, Mike Pereira reviews the controversial calls, so when he clarified the penalties in the Super Bowl, it wasn't something he did for the first time.

In the AFC Championship Game, the Steelers had a touchdown called back on an illegal formation penalty (putting them at 2nd-and-13 at the 17), but they scored a touchdown the very next play. I understand the illegal formation wasn't viewed as a touch call, but they still bounced back and scored anyway. Seattle failed to do this and still had the ball 1st-and-20 at the 26. The fact that the Seahawks gained minus three yards on the next three plays can't be blamed on the refs.

Matt Hasselbeck completed a pass to Jeramy Steven's to the one-yard line only to have it called back because of holding. ABC made it seem like it was a questionable call by not mentioning the flag until after the play was over, when it was called immediately. The Flag was thrown before the pass was completed. (Watch tape if you have it) The Seahawks still had the ball on the 29 with over 11 minutes to go trailing by four points. The game was in their hands and they blew it.

More facts:

The Patriots won 2 Super bowls while being outgained in yards and first downs by the Eagles and Rams.

The Cowboys beat the '95 Steelers though the Cowboys were outgained in yards, had less time of possession and fewer first downs.

Converting a miracle 3rd and 28 into a first and goal, breaking a 75 yard TD run and running a trick play by no means says the Steeler's offense was playing well that night. I thought Seattle's offense played pretty good the whole game, minus the end of both halves. Its 60 minutes in the NFL, not 56 minutes though.

If I was a such homer, I would never have admitted that I thought Ben didn't get in which I did at the time. Hasselbeck called for an illegal block was wrong and that Joey Porter got away with a horse collar tackle. The refs missed some calls but what I'm talking about they didn't miss.

1. The Refs didn't give up the longest run in SB history...Seattle's defense did.

2. The Refs didn't bite on a 43 yd trick play, Randle to Ward for a TD...Seattle's defense did.

3. The Refs didn't allow Ben to scramble around on a 3rd and 28 and complete a long pass to the 2 yd. line...Seattle's defense did.

4. The Refs didn't miss two field goals, that was Seattle.

5. The Refs didn't fail to step out of bounds late in the 1st half to stop the clock in Pitt territory in a crunch time situation...Seattle's offense did.

6. The Refs didn't let the 1st half clock tick down from 48 seconds all the way down to 13 seconds before finally running their next play at Pitt's 36 yd line...Seattle's offense did.

7. And on this play, 3rd down 53 yds away from a FG, it wasn't the Refs who tried and failed to go deep for a TD rather than a safer 5 yrd play and timeout setting up a much easier FG attempt---that, again, would be Seattle's offense.

8. The Refs didn't get confused by Pitt's zone defense and throw an INT...that would be Seattle's QB.

9. The Refs didn't let a little physical contact intimidate them from catching 4 very catchable passes...that would be the Seattle TE Jeremy Steven's.

10. With approx. 20 seconds left in the game, knowing they need a TD and FG, in no particular order, and in easy FG range on 4th down, it wasn't the Refs who ignored the FG and elected to throw up a prayer trying for a TD...that AGAIN would be Seattle.

11. The Refs didn't constantly punt deep into the end zone, repeatedly giving Pitt the ball at the 20 yd line...that of course was Seattle. Opportunities to pin the Steelers really deep should have been capitalized.

12. It wasn't the Refs who received a Christmas gift wrapped easy INT lobbed in perfect position to return deep into Pitt territory...the lucky beneficiary of that break would be Seattle.

13. It wasn't the Refs who got a break when a Steeler DB dropped an easy int early in the game...that too would be a break for Seattle.

14. It wasn't the Refs who caught a break when a Steeler WR dropped a very catchable TD pass...that break again would go to Seattle.

15. It wasn't the scapegoat Refs that received a break when a WR caught the ball, turned, stepped, was hit hard enough to cause a fumble, and then ruled INCOMPLETE...that would be of course, another chance for Seattle.
(this was an interesting call considering that after Troy's famous overruled Int, the NFL stated that it WAS a catch. If so, than this definitely WAS a catch)

16. The Refs weren't the ones who caught a break when at the conclusion of a 2nd qtr play, as a Pitt DE was walking away, the Seattle Center blindsided the defenseless player, leveling him to the ground. This mysteriously unseen crime was again another break for Seattle.

17. It wasn't the Refs who got a break when Pitt QB Big Ben was blocked in the back as he pursued the DB who he'd tossed an int to...that again would go to Seattle.

18. It wasn't the Refs who stopped Seattle RB Alexander in a few key situations.... That would be the Pittsburgh Steelers.

19. It wasn't the Refs who converted many of their 3rd downs yet stopped their opponent on 3rd downs. The Seahawks had one penalty on third down.

And that is why all of this talk of a ruined game and an undeserved win are just Plain Stupid. There were many many chances for Seattle to win that game. If they had not dropped so many passes, missed a couple of field goals, managed the clock with a little bit of skill, been able to place a punt within the twenty just once while instead had four touchbacks, made a few key tackles, not bit on a fake — if they had been able to do any number of things, the game would have turned out very differently. But they didn't, and they lost.

Furthermore, It's not as if the Seahawks played so great and barely lost. They lost by 11.

Remember - no one ever remembers the Super Bowl loser unless they are interesting, like Buffalo and the Vikings losing so many. Think about it, the Niners barely beat the Bengals in 1982. No one remembers that Bengal team, except Cincy fans.

Mike Holmgren STILL can't get over the fact that HE lost the game for his team. He was completely outcoached by a coach that had a history of losing in big games.

I can't twist the rules (Self-explanatory) only bring them up. Some of You deny the Holding and PI happened, while they did. The only question is should they have been called, not they didn't happen. You've convinced yourselves they didn't happen, no matter how much proof is provided, because most of you simply can't face the truth of what really took place in that game.

Oh ya, next time try bringing some realistic Ammo to the argument and not just some off the wall remark like the Refs helped us win instead of playing the part of a complete tool.

I gave my FACTS in DETAIL, now lets hear yours.

Thats what i thought. thanks for playing

What makes this win all that much sweeter, is New Baltimore getting beat by OLD Baltimore. For fans like Mike I feel bad, but for fans like Cramps it seems like Justice for those fans who were thrilled at stealing a team back in 1996.

Hey GM, thanks for the kind and TRUTHFUL words that you spoke..This team was taken from you "illegally" and I wish that it all could not have happened to such a wonderful fanbase. For the most part, all of you have been pretty cool, fun and nice to talk to but on this same note, there have been a few who still show some bitterness towards I guess, me as a Ravens fan because of the past! Believe me, if I had the chance, you would not have lost your team and we would be celebrating the Browns victories, or would we????? Who knows what team could have been put together for the Baltimore folks..... In all honesty though, I have let those bad feelings go and I hope that most of the Browns will do the same here .This I do know, I slept pretty good last night, woke up and had a pretty good breakfast and will continue to live life to the fullest, than the season will kick back up in August and I will live life on the edge again....

They showed their true colors with their offseason laziness because they thought they were that good, or they thought the refs were going to help them out all this season too.
lLLlegalizewd, let me Educate you some instead of playing the part of a tool. i see you go on emotion & illogic Rather than what the REAL facts were at the time. You may have to read the following in 3 parts since your comprehension & Understanding seems to have taken a hit>>>

I took time to give an objective, along with what i feel is a very accurate account regarding SB 40. Try your very best to read along with some comprehension this time if that's at all possible ok

The fact that the Seahawks gained minus three yards on the next three plays can't be blamed on the refs

Matt Hasselbeck completed a pass to Jeramy Steven's to the one-yard line only to have it called back because of holding. ABC made it seem like it was a questionable call by not mentioning the flag until after the play was over, when it was called immediately. The Flag was thrown before the pass was completed. ( Watch tape if you have it ) The Seahawks still had the ball on the 29 with over 11 minutes to go trailing by four points. The game was in their hands and they blew it.

[b]More facts

1. The Refs didn't give up the longest run in SB history... Seattle's defense did .

2. The Refs didn't bite on a 43 yd trick play, Randle to Ward for a TD... Seattle's defense did .

That would be the Pittsburgh Steelers .

19. It wasn't the Refs who converted many of their 3rd downs yet stopped their opponent on 3rd downs. The Seahawks had one penalty on third down.

And that is why all of this talk of a ruined game and an undeserved win are just Plain Stupid . You know, Just like YOUR comments.

Bottom Line: There were many many chances for Seattle to win that game. But they didn't, and they lost .

He was completely outcoached by a coach that had a history of losing in big games .

I can't twist the rules (Self-explanatory) only bring them up. Some of You deny the Holding and PI happened, while they did. The only question is should they have been called , not they didn't happen. You've convinced yourself they didn't happen, no matter how much proof is provided, because you simply can't face the truth of what really took place in that game.

Oh ya, next time try bringing some realistic Ammo to the argument and not just some off the wall remark like the Refs helped us instead of playing the part of a complete tool.

I gave my FACTS & DETAIL , now lets hear yours.

Thats what i thought. thanks for playing.

Oh ya, next time before making absurd remarks like that, try doing your homework. it does wonders for ones argument.

This is peyton Manning we are talking about. The guy that folds when he get's pressured.

Not to impose a whole lot of logic into a smack thread.... but Mannings all time playoff qb rating is 87.37... Tom Brady's is 90.45.... think losing some of those playoff games might have something to do with the REST OF THE COLTS?
Yeah he plays well the first few weeks of playoffs or maybe the first game if they get a bye. But as soon as he faces a team that get's after him he folds. What's his TD to interception ratio in every playoff game he lost? I know protection breaks down and that's not his fault but look how many int's he has thrown because of it. New England did it to him 3 years and Pittsburgh did it to him last year.

BALTIMORE--Hours after their team’s stunning defeat at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts, fans of the Baltimore Ravens gathered in front of the Colts’ team bus and refused to let them leave the stadium parking lot. The last time the Colts left Baltimore, in 1984, they relocated to Indianapolis and never came back.

Baltimore residents weren’t about to let that happen again.

“We’re not letting them leave,” said one fan who was part of a human chain surrounding the Colts team bus. “We already made that mistake once, and it’s not going to happen again. Go back inside, guys! It's okay, you’re home now! See, they’re not moving, but I think it’s just because they’re afraid. They probably think the minute they step out of the bus they’re going to be shipped back to Indianapolis. Poor bastards.”

The throng of fans began to form near the M & T Bank Stadium player’s parking lot prior to the game and grew larger as the game went on. By the time it was over, thousands were standing at the entrance, blocking the way for the Colts team bus.

Police officer Dennis Marks said the crowd was enthusiastic but peaceful.

“There haven’t been any problems so far,” he told a reporter from WBAL-TV. “These folks just want to come out and make their voices heard. They’re proud Baltimoreans trying to right a wrong. Frankly, I have half a mind to join them, but I’m only here in case things get violent, or if the team tries to do something stupid like escape.”

According to fans in attendance, their immediate aim was to get the Colts to exit the team bus and retreat to the locker room, where they would spend the week sleeping, eating, and preparing for the conference championship. The rest of the plan was unclear.

“I’m sure the league and the people of Indianapolis will understand that we’re just reclaiming what’s rightfully ours,” said a 32-year-old Baltimore resident. “Why the hell can’t they just play as the Baltimore Colts next week and just see how it goes? If it goes good, maybe we can talk about making it permanent. If not, maybe we’ll come to some other sort of arrangement. That’s it. That’s the whole plan. Okay, so it’s not particularly well thought out. We’re an angry mob. What do you expect?”

By midnight, the crowd had nearly doubled in size. Police were on the scene but refused to disperse the crowd, calling it a “peaceful demonstration” designed to “raise awareness that the Colts weren’t going anywhere.”

On the bus, the mood was somber.

“Oh my God are we ever going to get out of here?” asked tight end Dallas Clark. “These people are nuts. Why can’t they just be happy with the Ravens? They’re a good team. They have some talent. Maybe next year they'll get their revenge and knock us out of the playoffs. Until then, just accept the fact that we won the game, and that your starting quarterback somehow aged five years in the second half.”

“We’ll get home eventually,” said a more relaxed Peyton Manning. “The fans here are just emotional. You can’t really blame them. It was pretty underhanded for this team to just up and leave in the middle of the night 23 years ago. Still, it turned out to be the best decision for us. I don’t want to live in Baltimore. Have you seen The Wire? That place is a hell on earth. It makes Indianapolis look livable.”

It wasn’t until 6 o’clock the next morning that police began dispersing the crowd on orders from Mayor Martin O’Malley. The fans, exhausted but still feisty, cursed former Colts owner Bob Irsay as they shuffled out of the parking lot.

“ Bob Irsay. What a ass,” said 40 year-old Reggie Pagel, a former Colts season ticket holder. “I wish he were alive today to see all this. What a statement we made, standing out here all night and refusing to let them leave. I bet the Ravens were pretty impressed, too. They probably never realized how passionate and fiery we were. After this, I bet we’ll never lose another free agent again.”

Late Monday night, however, witnesses reported seeing a fleet of 18-wheelers emblazoned with the Ravens logo exiting M & T Bank Stadium parking lot. Calls to the Ravens offices were not returned.

The Wire is a correct representation of the greater Baltiwhore area. Sad to say I am addicted to violence. It is a awesome show.
