I'm very sorry if this has been discussed but I'm never here.
My problem is I'm stuck on one really old game (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and one really obscure game (Oddworld Stranger's Wrath).
I've used google to find tips and most sites really weren't a big help, or the tips they gave were for parts I've already beaten. I don't really want cheats and walkthroughs, just some tips on how to get unstuck.

it's mostly walkthroughs, but just search for the part where you're stuck and read only that...

i've also seen videos on youtube where they show you how to beat parts of certain games, it helped me with one level on call of duty 4..
