Has anyone actually looked at our preseason schedule and actually looked at the days?

We play the 18th, 23rd and 28th, Monday, Saturday Thursday.... Thats 3 games in 11 days...

Anyone else think this preseason schedule kind of hurts us for getting ready for the season? Or is it good because Crennel will probably give the starters extra rest during the game?

Whats your opinion on it.

I never really noticed, but yes, that is strange. I think it is even more strange that we play the Giants on a Monday night in preseason, and then do it all over again in the regular season.

You can bet that the preseason version of this game will be VERY vanilla! LOL!!!

I think it could be really good for the players.

There won't be lots of time for things to slip their minds.... they can learn, practice and put into effect in a short span; go from learning to game time execution quickly.
I know with the way I learn that I would like that... but it will be a disadvatage for any guy that is struggling... but those guys don't end up making the squad anyway (unless we are heavily invested in them).

So, we start camp and have our first game on the 7th... then 11 days later, when the tempo of camp is at its highest anyway, we start that string of 1 every 5 days... then we get 9 or 10 days until the season opener. I actually like that schedule. We get to ease into it, then ramp up the intensity as we shake out who sticks and who doesn't, then we get to dial it back a bit as we prepare for Week 1.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Seems like we have one of the most bizarre preseason schedules of the NFL. Although I did notice that the Giants have the same 3 dates that we have.

Signing Steinbach - $49.5 million
Signing Lewis - $5 million
Drafting Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn - millions more
Restoring the Browns to champions - priceless.

Preseason schedule wasnt by accident or if it was it was a goodâ€șaccident. With 5 primetime games and several 4pm games, it should get the team in that frame of mind early. I believe its really a good thing to break that noon kickoff mindset and replace it with anytime anyplace mindset.

I think Savage mentioned that when the schedule came out, that the preseason schedule would help the team prep for the prime time games schedule.

Sounds good ot me... wish we had more time between games, but it's preseason and as you said there will be weeks in the regular season where we have a short week to prepare.

It's practice and many people have clamored for years that there are too many games.

Who gives a damn when they are????

I don't.

For the most part I agree. It doesn't bode well for somebody that's on the bubble and nursing an injury, though.
