So I've been on a movie kick lately and am looking for some good movies.

Watched Crash the other night and it was amazing.

So what are some of your favorite movies?

Anyone who hasn't seen The Departed or Goodfellas needs to do so now. Masterful story combined with good action a a decent amount of cat and mouse drama *espically in The Departed*.

you had a good run Hank.

I still maintain Castaway is the greatest underappreciated movie ever. Hanks should have won the oscar that year.

I'm guessing the only way you saw that movie was part of a high school class.

I have very shallow tastes in movies. I don't care for most movies that win awards for things like "Best Picture".

some of my favorites....

Better off Dead
Grosse Pointe Blank
Transformers
The One
The whole Bourne series
Serenity
The Punisher

Plus a ton of romantic comedies my wife thinks she is forcing me to watch.

And, of course, it's companion: Spaceballs.

I agree with bigbaddawg on the Departed. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

I also really liked 310 to Yuma with Russell Crowe. He plays a villian, but by the end of the movie you can't help but like the guy. He should have been nominated for an Oscar for this part imo.

A really funny movie I liked was Hot Rod. This kid does stunts on his "hot rod" trying to raise money for this step-fathers surgery. He wants to keep him alive so he can kick his ass. lol

My favorite old stand by is Fight Club. I've seen this movie at least 20 times.

I'll have to see if it'll be on TV soon. If not, I'll head to the library and rent it from there. If I really like it, I'll buy it.
