She should stick to getting drunk at bars and making......other types of "movies" (even though her "movie" was embarrassing for reason I won't go into). That was horrid! I think she made herself look more stupid.

I kinda got a kick out of it.. I mean with stuffy people tossing out ad after ad that takes very little fact into account, why not make fun of them.. And think about her energy policy,, it may actually make sense in an alternate universe....

That was awesome.
The sad thing is, her energy policy makes more sense than both McCain and Obama's!

I was just impressed she could say all those big words off the cue cards. Sure she has no idea what the hell she said though

I think it was a nice rebuttal. That ad (McCain's) was wrong on so many levels it's not even laughable. The best part was kicking a big donor in the balls... You're really smart McCain...
(btw I actually somewhat like McCain)

yes but McCain was smart and waited until they each donated the maximum $2,300 before airing the ad just to add a little extra oomph to that kick

Before I make this post, I will give my disclaimer...
I am a libertarian- and dislike both Mccain and Obama.
That being said, I could totally envision Paris' video not being so spontaneous, but rather a wink-wink between her and Mccain's camp. Mccain benefitted big-time from this ad. A handshake agreement that Mccain would put out the ad and then Paris would put out a spoof and both sides would profit.
Let me explain.
I might not agree with what Mccain says, but I will acknowledge that he has smart people working for him. He would have not gotten this far if he and his people did not know how to run a campaign. I cannot believe for a moment that his staff or people associated with him would use Paris in a campaign and not get feelers from her as to where she stood and what she would do after the ad aired.
The media has been having a field day with this ad saying that Paris is ripping Mccain. I believe the opposite has happened. Whether we like it or not, Paris represents an entire generation. She is one of the most visable people of her demographic. She represents an entire generation that according to the media is supposed to be for Obama. Even though her ad was a satire and she was poking fun of Mccain, the big news is what she did not do. She did not sing the praises of Obama. She did not rip into Mccain. What she did do was poke fun of herself, Obama and Mccain. She insinuated that the golden boy Obama does not have everything figured out 100% (the media already knows that Mccain does not have everything figured out). and that coming from a twenty-something really helps the Mccain camp.

LOL,, THe people working for McCain can't be too smart if they put up ads like that one and the one that Blames Obama for the price of gas at the pump..
Neither ad is defensable in that neither ad has any truth.. so these smart people you mentioned just put McCain in the position of having to defend those ads..
To me,, that isn't so bright.. But that's JMO

Don't your think that could be the point. I think he needed to get any kind of story lines directed at him. To me it kind of feels like an Obama race, he's got most of the headlines. The only bad kind of publicity is NO publicity.

Living outside the Country, I get a little different perspective " Clay " .. I think I can say with confidence that that vast majority of ExPats ( Gringo's living abroad ) think both Candidates and their respective Party's stink ; Along with the Congress and Senate. Trying to find some thing or someone to vote for is a very real problem for this group.

Seems every election, the choices get worse.

I agree with you that Paris Hilton's add works in favor of McCain. Think about it. Paris Hilton is widely thought of as an irresponsible, stupid person that has served jail time for multiple DWI's. - We have this young woman who represents what is wrong with this country poking fun at John McCain. Did she say that she supports Obama?- No. But, did she poke fun and attack John McCain? -Yes.
Essentially, if you are John McCain, there are people you want to publicly speak out in support of you, and, yes, there are people you want to publicly speak out against you. - Who better to speak out against you than somebody who is widely thought of as a complete idiot.

Man, you are giving the general population an awful lot of credit for knowing and/or caring if Paris is smart, dumb, or anything. We are talking about the same people that read National Enquirer, Star, etc. The same folks that complain there are fewer American manufacturing jobs, and then buy made in Taiwan products at Wal-Mart. The same folks who shout out that they don't have enough money to feed their children, while they are coming out of the convenience store with a 12 pack and carton of cigarettes.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

What's your problem? Smoking is legal. Women have the right to do whatever they want with their own body. There is no difinative proof smoking hurts you. Yes, I'm being a smartass to see how many people get ticked off at me. The woman is a moron.

I never thought that Paris Hilton was all that attractive, but I will say I think she looked good in that ad. The wonders of makeup.
That being said, her opinion on the election matters to me about as much as Manny Ramirez's.

Actually, like Obama, it sounds like she's leaning towards supporting McCains plan for Energy Independence.
You are right, Her energy policy that everyone is so impressed with speaks more towards Mcain’s ideas.
Mcain supports and always will the expansion of more energy efficient modes of transportation, as well as the innovation and development of those to be transplanted here in the U.S. The reason Mcain agrees with offshore drilling (Obama does not) is the same reason dumbass in the add stated, that is to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and relieve some of the gas prices over a 5-10 year period while new technologies are developed tested and implemented. This also gives a largely petroleum based world market the speed and pace that it can absorb.
Obama’s plan is to have a free or cheaper energy mode of transportation developed, which has been an ongoing battle for years. At least Mcain is addressing the issues now and being realistic for the future.
The oversight to Obama’s plan is, If a “true” free energy car were released into the market lets say in 2 years, stock markets around the world would crash and the free energy wouldn’t mean anything.
Obama like most democrats reject the idea of offshore drilling all together. Mcain however supports them both and in moderation.
Nothing like trying to slam Mcain for being old, and then more or less citing his energy policy as your own.
Brilliant. (Speaking of that, Politics makes me thirsty, Guinness here I come)
