FYI to all the Socom Fans.

To get access to the Socom Public Beta pre-order Socom at GameStop and get the access code. (While supplies last)

Once you get the code log onto www.publicbeta.socom.com and follow the information to sign up. (Access code, PSN ID, E-Mail, DOB)

You will be e-mailed (some time before Sept. 1st) a promotion code you will need to enter on the PSN to access the Beta Download.

Once you D/L it you can share the promotion code with two freinds.

Public Beta starts Sept. 1st and last till Sept. 30th.

Just got mine from Gamestop, can't wait.

Were going to have to set up a DT Night when everyone get's on (Qore & GS).

The map is going to be Crossroads, the remade larger version and we will be able to test out the many different game modes.

I'm down, but if anyone ABSOLUTLEY needs an issue of Qore, I'll do a trade with ya.

Frostbite will be the best map, but Crossroads will be sniper heaven.

Short SOCOM Public Beta Delay

Hi folks,

Well, I've got some good and not so good news. The good news is that we are still on track to delivering a kick-[butt] experience come October. The bad news is that because we are working so hard to ensure the final product is fantastic, we've decided to push back the Public Beta date just a few days in order to bump up the experience even more. So, the new launch date for the Public Beta is now Friday, September 5th (QORE members will start the following Friday, September 12).

The other good news is that we are not cutting down the length of the Public Beta one bit. It will still run for a full month - from 9/5 to 10/5 - so you and your clanmates can still practice as long as you want and then be ready to go for the full game later in October.

Myself, my team and Slant Six are burning the midnight oil to ensure this game is the best it can possibly be for you guys. We completely understand it’s hard to wait when you haven't had a chance to play it yet but, rest assured, the wait will be worth it. If you haven't done it already, you can pre-order the game from GameStop® in the US to get into the Public Beta (EB Games™ for our brethren to the North). Make sure to bring along 2 extra friends once you register and get the email promo code from us; that code will let them in too. You're not going to get another Public Beta out there that will give you and your squad-mates so much access.

I just got my Beta Code in my E-Mail. I'll be downloading it tonight. Anyone else pre-order? or are the rest of you Qore?

I heard it's like 1500MB d/l so I expect a while for the d/l due to the size and the amount of people d/l'ing it.

I'll try to play tonight if it finishes in time (got to get up early and play some flag football).

I'll respond back with how I like the game and the reviesed version of Crossroads.

SOCOM IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I love the game. The graphics were better than I saw in the trailers by 10 fold. There is some lag but that's whats this open beta is for. A stress test on the servers to see what can be handled. So I expect some lag.

The 3 hours I played completley made me feel like I was playing Socom II again. I hope you all like it as much as me.

If this makes you feel like playing SOCOM 2, then I'll take it that the game rocks.

SOCOM 2 is my all-time favorite game. I'll catch you on next week when it's open to QORE subscribers. Is there going to be a notice when available? Or do I have to go to my QORE subscription and just look for somethin?

I'd imagine at 10am PST on Friday Qore will be able to D/L it. That's what time I got my E-Mail for the Pre-Order.
