Where does the code come to? I have checked my email since the Beta came out, nothing. If and when I get code where do I go to get the game?

Go to your account on the PSN. I believe it says something about enter promo code and that's where you enter it and download the game.

If you pre-ordered the game and got the promotion code and entered it on socom.beta.com then you would have it already.

If you are a Qore subscriber you will be able to d/l the game on Friday from the download section of the June edition of Qore.

I haven't played since Saturday night because of the game on Sunday, and MNF last night. I'll be on after midnight tonight for a couple of hours if anyone else wants to play.

You could buy the June edition of Qore for $2.99 and d/l it on Friday.

Or hopefully someone else has a code to give you.

Well I took my card back to GameStop and they still had some left, so they gave me another one. My name on Socom will be GingerMook, whenever I get my code.

Also a question, why won't my logitech headset work? Do I need a bluetooth one? If so can someone help me find a good one? Preferably at Circuit City, cause I have a credit on hand to buy one.

SOCOM rocks!

It's only 1 map, and I was rusty as hell the first 2 times I played, but tonight I started getting my groove back. I haven't played SOCOM since I bought my PS3, which will be 2 years coming up. And with the exception of Resistance, I haven't played many shooters. But once I started getting the hang of it, it was a bit of nostalgia......

I'll have a lot of long nights and early wakes from my 2 year old once the game is released next month......

Load times are long but this is the beta, and the whole reason for the public beta we are in is for a stress test on the servers.

They have a message up and are suppose to have this corrected soon. The first update partially fix the issue. I use to have to wait like 8 min for the first game load, now it takes like 3 min.

I've never waited that long for a game to load. It's long, but it was never 8 minutes.

I think the first time I tried joining a game from the lobby, it took maybe 3 minutes, 4 tops.

Last night, it was around 2 minutes or so. It's only when loading into the game from the lobby.

Like you said, it's a beta. This is why they do this, to see what kind of strain servers can handle, and if there are any bugs that need fixed before people start spending $60 on the game.

I believe the game is only going to be $40. I thought that is what they said at Gamestop when I pre-ordered it. I could be wrong though.

$40 if you download it off the store or buy the Disc Only version.

$60 if you buy the disc version with the bundled bluetooth headset.

I've learned two things in the last 2 hours:


first thing: This game is wicked fun
second thing: I suck at it.

It is my first time ever playing a socom game, or any shooter game online though.

SOCOM is highly addictive. I started up with SOCOM 2, and spent easily 3 hours nightly playing it, sometimes more. Of course, I didn't have a baby then, so now I won't be able to do that.

Can't wait for the full game to come out.

probably someone in the bell tower. they got me several times. it will show you who shot you right after you die if they are stationary.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation Public Beta 1.30 Patch Incoming

We are happy to announce that the eagerly anticipated SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation Public Beta 1.30 Patch will be released on Thursday, September 18th, at 12:00 GMT/UTC (8am EDT, 5am PDT, 1pm BST, 9pm JST/KST).

The SOCOM: Confrontation 1.30 patch addresses the following issues:


Abnormally long network synchronization issues when some users in a game have a poor network connection. This issue causes 4-7 minute (or longer) load times when late joining a game.
Fixed an issue where respawn game late joiners were sometimes stuck in spectator mode and could not respawn into the game.
Removed the latency detection network test which was causing some users with poor network connections to receive the network latency icon (red X).
Fixed an issue where clients with different client versions (patches) could play together in a default medley game.
Fixed an issue where if the session master leaves the game, late joiners could not "green up" and late join into the game.
Fixed corrupt characters in the European and Japanese EULAs and Server News.
Fixed many join game issues and made joining a game quicker. We are still optimizing this.
Fixed an issue where if you add and then remove someone from your block list they were still unable to send you a message.
Improved accuracy while moving (based on user feedback). Partial implementation. More improvements to come.
Reduced the encumbrance penalty (based on user feedback).
Changed the default round time for Medley games from 8 minutes to 6 minutes (based on user feedback).
We are still looking into the following issues and they will be addressed in a future patch:

Some late joiners have really bad framerate (5fps) and crash if they exit the game from the start menu. This happens at approximately 1/50 frequency.
Some late joiners will get stuck on the round complete screen. This is timing dependent.
Some users will crash in-game. This happens at approximately 1/100 frequency (games).
Some late joiners get stuck on the loading screen, loading into a game. This happens at approximately 1/100 frequency.
Green or corrupted particles appear for RPG, C4 and AT4 explosions. This happens at approximately 1/4 frequency (users).
Further tuning and tweaking based on user feedback.
Once the patch is released, we will continue to keep an eye out for any additional issues which may arise.
