I just hope he legally changes his name to ocho cinco, So what, I like the fact the bungles have somebody to make the game interesting. He has to believe he could beat michael phelps, he has to believe hes the best in the world or he doesn't belong in the NFL.
Johnson last season put on an ugly beige jacket that said future hall of famer 20?? on after a touchdown; and ever since then its been all bad luck for Johnson.
Coincidence?
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Not to defend the moron but he pulled that stunt in Week #1 and went on to catch 93 balls for over 1,400 yards.....how is that all bad luck?

He didn't have bad luck.
He just backed himself into a hole, and continues to make himself look like he's bipolar. He's a great receiver. Just a little unstable in the cabeza.
I guess if you look at his career and the Bengals season as a whole from the time the week before he put on that jacket, it was all rocketing upwards for CJ, he was the #1 option on the team and the team was on the rise to be top 3 at least offensively in the league. Just a year ago, and going into that week 2 game, my whole thoughts were just stay within 20 or 15 pts of cincy and try to come back and beat them in the end.
Starting after that week the Bengals lost to the Browns even scoring 45 pts, they had bad luck as a team coming up short in some other games they should have won, and by seasons end CJ isn't the #1 option on the team anymore. And to Add Chris Henry is gone, just gone, and he was another major receiving option to give defenses fits and help CJ get open.
I guess thats what I meant by it has been bad luck for CJ since that time he wore the Jacket, but actually it seems to me to be an act of disrespect for all of the hall of famers, and I'd like to see him apologise for it publicly. Its not going to happen, but I'd like to see it.
The way I see it, before that day, he was on the path to the hall of fame,... maybe, and since then, ehh not so much, but I view it as a turning point.

I would love, ABSOLUTELY LOVE, to see the mouth and Phelps swim head to head - or, mano a mano (as ocho seems to like spanish).
Someone should put up $100,000 for that - and then we'd see the mouth back out for some reason or another.
Geez, to sit on your tail and say "I'd beat the world record holder in swimming, and I know others that could".....that's not just ego, that's someone with mental problems.
when i saw this i realized Chad can't help himself; he's a total moron. there's nothing he can do about making himself look stupid. he simply can't help it. seriously, though, he's just a sad, sad man that he can't handle somebody else getting more attention than him. it's actually not funny. it's just sad.
i thought it was pretty funny. i stopped taking him seriously a long time ago, and i don't think he's some cancer to the nfl that many people make him out to be.

If the Cincinnati Bengals' offseason couldn't get any more strange, Pro Bowl receiver Chad Johnson may have added a new chapter just before the regular season.
According to Miami radio station 790 The Ticket, which is in Johnson's hometown, the receiver has legally changed his last name to "Ocho Cinco." Johnson's -- sorry -- Ocho Cinco's reported name change has been rumored in NFL circles for weeks, and according to the station today, it's official.
Johnson forewarned the public that a major surprise was coming during a recent interview with Chris McKendry on ESPN's SportsCenter.
"A lot of people look at Chad Johnson and say he's crazy and he does a lot of stuff, but I don't think people really understand how smart I really am," Johnson said. "So come Sept. 7, I believe when we play the Baltimore Ravens, I think that's the game, there's a surprise for everybody -- for everybody. When I say something, it is what it is, just enjoy it. Because it's going to last 16 weeks, plus some more."
Could this be it? If the report is correct he should be able to wear his nickname on the back of his jersey without penalty, which he's wanted to do for quite some time.
The media also would have to refer to him as Chad Ocho Cinco from this point on.
Sounds little strange, but nothing is too outlandish for No. 85 or the Bengals these days.
Stay tuned.
I'm assuming this is the best place for this story.
There's two parts to this story. The first part, it's hilarious how Chad called the NFL's bluff and is getting what he wanted. I wasn't on his side about letting him use his nickname when it wasn't his last name.....but he had to do this to force the NFL to accept it. The second part, it's really dumb to now be officially called "Chad Ocho Cinco." Especially when "Ocho Cinco" doesn't even mean 85 in Spanish.
...it would be great if the Bengals traded him to a team that already had an 85 star receiver.
“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”
This guy has mental problems. His ego is huge, and that's fine, but his mental problems are a concern.
Has he paid his back taxes on his condo yet? If not, he should be arrested. If he has money to change his name, he should be able to pay his taxes. And if he can pay his taxes, maybe he could spot chris henry $100 bucks to get his court transcripts.
What a load of crap! He is just addicted to himself. And wrong. Well I will stick up UhOh Stunko! I think he puts a real face on the organization in Cincitucky. In fact, I would go so far as to say, he is THE franchise player who best captures the spirit of their organization and the hearts of the truest fans he has. They deserve each other. Stay your constant self.
