another thing i read somewhere is that you can also use a usb external hard drive....

this might be good if you went to a friends and wanted to take your save games...

I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make, but something that'll affect your load times is the spindle rate of the drive.

Try to avoid the 4200 rpm drives. Get at minimum the 5400 rpms drives, but the link I posted up above is for a 7200 rpm drive.... that's as fast as a desktop machine's drive. So, that fast and 160GB... not a bad combo at all, but it is pricey.

I wouldn't wait in line for 10 mins to spend 500+ dollars on a game console.

Even if you sell them on Ebay, 29 hours? It is not worth my time.

Judging from the prices I've seen on EBay. You spend 500 sell it for 1500. That means you sold 3 (total cost 1500) for a total of 4500. That's a $3000 profit for waiting in line 29 hours. Yeah your right the poeple that do that are crazy. One wasted day to receive 3000 dollars in profit.

J/C....I just bought a PS3 20 gig yesterday. Should I keep it or sell it? I really want one, but I guess I could make $100 or $200 on it and then buy another one down the road. What do you guys think?

Also, for those that have the 20 gig, is it WIFI ready? I just purchased a Wireless Router for our DSL line and would like to be able to get the updates to the console.

i wouldn't waste your time....you might get 600 for it...there are tons of auctions expiring with no sale...

and no its not wi-fi ready....

You're not gonna make that much on it and the retail price on those isn't going to drop for a loooooooong time.

go buy yourself the wifi add-on and be done with it.... a few rounds of killing monsters should take care of any "buyer's remorse" you may have for dropping that much on it.

I picked one up last night in the hopes of selling it on E-bay. The last time I had looked they were going for 1000-1200.

I was at Circuit City for something else and they happened to have just gotten a shipment in. I'd be lucky to get 50 bucks out of it as I look at the auctions now. If someone in the Columbus area wants one I'll sell it to them at cost (650, 600 for the system plus tax), otherwise its going back to circuit city this weekend.


Again, I have a PS3 I'll sell to someone in Columbus for cost, $650. If anyone's interested I'll be checking back later tonight.

There isn't an NBA Live '07.

There's NBA 07 and NBA 2K7. EA scrapped NBA Live '07 and is just going to work on '08. Which one do you really have, because I'm asking for 2k7 for Christmas and want to know if it's worth it.

They have Live 07, McGrady is on the cover.

3000 possible profit, assuming you sell them for top dollar. Many are timing out before sold, people smartened up after the xbox360 fiasco, and are giving rain checks to thier kids and waiting til the next shipment in January, and even more are not buying into the hype that's it's the greatest thing on earth.

And yes, I would not wait in a line for 29 hours straight,. overnight etc, even for 3k profit, unless I was poor and had dire need for the money.

For PS3???? I've looked for it, and never found it. So I went to gamespot.com, and they said they canceled it and would just focus on '08 for the PS3. Now I'm gonna have to check again. I told my brother-in-law to get my 2k7 since Live wasn't out. But if it really is, I want Live. But I dont' think it is out for PS3.

Ok, checked gamstop.com and they only have NBA '07 made by SCEA and NFL 2K7 for the PS3.

Went to gamespot.com and here's a link the the article saying it's canceled. McGrady is on the cover, but it's not out for the PS3.

Notice the release date says "canceled" and if you scroll down, you'll see the link to the story "PS3 NBA Live Swatted To Next Season." Which sucks.

My bad, i know they have it for 360, so I just assumed they had it for PS3. I heard Live was really bad though this year, probably why they cancelled it.
