Haven't heard from D. yet. Last I heard everything was OK. We're sitting on 5 inches of rain right now and the center is supposed to go right over us in Cocoa as of the last report (about 2 AM). It's funny, I'm supposed to go down and stay in Keys resort this w/e and the next week....just don't seem possible.

but that's Florida

Well the hype of the darn thing DID keep me from flying into Orlando yesterday. Hopefully, I'll be able to get in today...

Well that was an awful lot of hype for a tropical storm. Good to see the media isn't blowing things out of proportion these days.

Hype or not, it was still a Tropical Storm with steady winds near my house around 35-40mp with gust around 60, and by mid-morning it was affecting Orlando as well, not good landing weather.

The storm did produce a little bit of wind, but when I was scheduled to land in Orlando, the storm was still in southern Florida. I'll just be glad to be able to get in today. I'm sitting at Denver Int'l right now waiting. Guess what. I think I left my keys at my cousins house. Crap! Oh well, at least my car key is at the car parking place in Orlando.

Well, everything is fine down here. Walking around my property, you can't even tell that we had a storm. 13 hours of busting our butts on clean up made a huge difference.

Lots of plants are gone/dead. But those are easily replaced. Lost some screens on the villas, but again, replaceable. The hardest part is getting the carpets dry where some water did get into the rooms. But that will be done by this weekend. Already welcoming back some of my guests who had to leave. Will start filling up soon I hope..

Beach, you're villa is ready bro. =) And that offer is still good for any of you Dawgs that want to come down. I still got lots of spots open. Had a few take me up on it.

I'm ready. This thing has stalled to about 5 mph. It's still raining. I had to go to work today and because of all the people that didn't show up, I had to drive a forklift in horizontal rain...not fun.

Give me a few days of beach, books and sun (maybe a lil golf)...

Stay safe all you Florida people!

You know Jules some people become a little odd as life wears them down. I do feel a little badge of honor in retiring to the sunshine, Gulf water activities, low taxes and virtually no crime to speak of here.
If that seems strange to you...that's OK!

Some other types of people claim that they were born with their oddity!!!!!!!!!
Not that there is anything wrong with that...... mind you...I'm just sayin'

Storm completely missed Orlando... My hometown got a lot of rain, looks to be about 6 or 7 inches. Nothing too bad, at least everything seemed to come out alright.

Hope all of my fellow-Floridians are safe, and that their homes were not damaged!

This damn storm just wont go away, 2 days and we are still getting bands of heavy winds and rain.

I'm hungry, I want to go out to get lunch, but it's coming down like Sodom and Gomorrah our there.

It's sunny and in the 80's in Ohio. We are swimming, and laying around on the beaches

You mean that rocky flat area at the edge of the water right next to the sewage treatment plant?

It's kind of weird. Dark Skies, heavy winds, driving rain, then it stops, sun comes out, then 20 minutes later, it repeats.

Right now it's sunny.

We've got perfect weather down here. Been great since yesterday. Bright blue skies, slight breeze. Highs in the 80's. You can't tell that we even went though a storm really.

Sucks that you guys are getting beat up still.
