Alright so I have a date Tuesday night and have no clue where the hell to take her. Let me first just give you a little background info and say that it's been a very long time since I have been on a real date. I'm only 26 years old and I was with a girl 6 years from my senior year in high school, had a kid was engaged and went through a terrible break up, didn't date for probably 2 years after that and the only real ties to the opposite sex I had was quite a few one nighters. Dated a girl about 3 months ago but really wouldn't call it dating cause I met her at a bar, all she ever wanted to do was go to the bar and we pretty much just stayed at her house or..... you guessed it at the bar. So after I got extremely tired of that and found out she was a lying psyco I kicked her straight to the curb. I just feel like i'm wayyyy out of the dating circle and find myself scratching my head trying to figure out what the hell I should take her out to do. Oh and another thing, CHEAP, this couldn't have hit me at a worse time. lol I hate asking for advice about women cause it makes me feel like a big friggin tool. But hey desperate times call for desperate measures.

Chinese food is cheap. So is taking a nice walk along a river or in a park and actually talking and getting to know each other. Then maybe a refreshing treat afterward -- ice cream, fruit drink. etc.

My god you have know idea how much that situation reminds me of Dave Chapelle in half baked when he takes Mary Jane on their first date.
All I can hope for is a bum on the corner to snatch change out of his cup. "Thank you son." "NO thaaank you!" haha
Nah seriously that is a good idea though, but I want to do something really, really fun.

Not cheap, but if you want to take her for a great meal, Ken Stewart's Grille on Rt. 18 (near Summitt Mall) is amazing...amazing. Beyond that, wind your way back towards Canton, either hit a movie, or maybe comedy club to keep things fun. If she feels like boozin', maybe a wine bar.
Whatever happened to the coworker Clutch?

Yeah shoot I forgot about the comedy club! My buddy get's free tickets to that. Great idea man!! Well we started kind of flirting for a minute, txting and talking on the phone. I was supposed to meet up with her and her friends after my buddies concert one night and I walked in and she was outside making out with some guy. lol Fashionably late isn't all it's wrapped up to be. I was half drunk and naturally said something to her about it and she got mad at me and wouldn't even look at me for a while at work. We're cool now but that ship has sailed.

Comedy club after a good dinner is golden...and not too expensive. Keeps you guys loose and laughing. Plus, they serve drinks.

Papas Steakhouse near the Galleria in Houston. That place was amazing for dinner. Take her there and you are golden.

Personally, I always felt akward eating on a first date. -Don't get me wrong, going to a restaurant is a must, but I just couldn't get myself to feel comfortable shoving food in my mouth in front of a woman that I was trying to be myself around.
Have a couple drinks with her at a decent restaurant. Order a salad, eat carefully, ask her questions, keep the conversation going, don't get too comfortable too early. Talk, make her laugh, keep smiling. Dress in something that makes you feel confident. - If you feel confident in jeans and a shirt, wear that.
Most Importantly: LISTEN TO HER, LISTEN TO HER, LISTEN TO HER.

Why? Once you're married it's "ignore ignore ignore, sorry honey, I didn't hear you. No, I do not want to go out to eat for the 5th time this week. No, we cannot afford that. Yes I like your mom, but does she need to live here?", and things like that......why pansy butt around when dating?
