I was too lazy to do it.

Silly question, but we don't have to pick for the preseason, right?
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Lucky for him, he's out after Denver wins on Monday night.

Denver might win on a Monday night - but it won't be Monday September 8th.
Besides, I was able to refrain from picking Oakland.

Pfffttt....I picked with my head, not my heart. Plus, the Browns weren't going undefeated. If picking against the Browns was against the rules then it should be on the rules page.
I suppose I shouldn't have been allowed to put money on the Cowboys too. Too late, I did. And I won.

When I have a deep feeling that we're going to lose, like the 2nd Bengals/Browns game last season, I'll bet the other team. More often than not, I'm right (which hurts me because after all these years, I know the games we choke on). If my bet ends up going sour, then that means we won the game....which then makes me happy. See, I'm happy either way. And I'm not betting a ton of money anyway.
I know some would consider it sacrileges to bet against ones team but more people from this board picked the Boys on the Dawgtalkers Pickems pool than the Browns (39 Boys to 21 Browns). That's a ton of people going against their Browns. I also noticed that your name was on the Cowboy side too.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with picking a team opposing the Browns in a pick 'em. I do find it odd that when you can pick that ONE team that needs to win out of every game played that you would pick Dallas when there are so many to choose from. But, to each their own. It's your bragging about it and apparent happiness that has me confused.

Nah, I wasn't bragging. I was just goofing on the few that commented picking the Boys was awful no matter the circumstance.
Believe me, I would MUCH rather the Browns win and I lose the bet than what happened.

Obviously it was a much safer pick than the Colts over the Bears.

Oh well.

Still in it I am predicting that St. Louis is the NFL's version of a AAA minor league team by losing to Buffalo.
