You misunderstood me - I meant Russell was a better draft pick than Quinn was. If Russell was on your team, he would start.

Over a probowl QB?

How is your poor little Probowler's head? Yes he would start. Anderson doesn't have anything Russell doesn't.

Really? I could have sworn he had a 10-5 record last year....

Oh, I see. Russell reminds you of Culpepper because he is big and black. I sense a little racism.

I was thinking Big, Dumb, and not long for the NFL. But hey Mr. Duke, your free to look in the mirror.

What gives you the impression that Russell is dumb? He is actually pretty smart.

What smart player (non lineman) packs on 30 pounds before his rookie season.

What smart player holds out so long his rookie season is pretty much a bust.

What idiot wears a ugly multi colored goat hair rag of a jacket

Russell never packed on 30 pounds.

The holdout was unfortunate - both sides caused it. But I like to look on the bright side: He came into the draft as a junior. By missing last season, it is like he is having his rookie season now - with a full off-season of training.

The jacket is actually very expensive (around $400). So they must be fairly popular for them to be able to sell at such a high price. Everyone has their own choice in style. You've never worn anything you are now embarrassed about?

Oh, and he scored a 24 on his wonderlic test. Not nearly as high as Brady Quinn, but higher than Brett Favre. Favre's career proves that you don't need thirty-something on that test to make it in the NFL.

The difference is that the Browns were making preparations for the post-season right up until the end of December. The Raiders were already planning their offseason by the time October ended.

So the Browns and their fans were extremely disappointed when their best attempts failed?

Boo hoo I feel sad for you...

So the Raiders got a head start on their off-season. In my opinion, they had a very expensive, but good one.

They resigned and overpaid some players, signed an aging head case of a WR, and probably got the best player in the draft.

I'd call that an average offseason for an average team.

That is why I said expensive. It is also why I said it was my opinion - not a fact.

It's funny too look back at all your posts and see how much time you spend each day on this board.

The Browns record was not 10-5 by the way. It was 10-6. You see, there are 16 game seasons in the NFL nowadays...

Much of that does fall on him. If you kept Charlie Frye in instead of Anderson, and the season would have been abysmal. Apparently the Raiders did not feel the same way about replacing Josh McCown or Daunte Culpepper with JaMarcus Russell

By the way, JaMarcus Russell was STILL on the couch watching the Pro Bowl...Anderson was not.

I don't spend a lot of time on this site in particular - just on the computer in general. My high school requires us to have laptops - thus giving me computer access throughout the school day. Then, I must complete homework on it. Al in all, I am on my computer a lot during the week.

Of course 10-6 was their record, I'm not stupid. Frye started the first game and that is what the original poster was referring to. I didn't feel the need to point out the brown's record on a browns message board. I merely meant that was the Browns record while he was a starter.

Why would the Raiders replace McCown/Culpepper with a rookie who was signed after the season began? He was not ready. That is why he only started one game. He would have started over them if he had gotten to camp sooner (his fault, I know).

On nfl.com it says Anderson was an "injury replacement" for the pro bowl. I bet he was proud of that title.

Hey, the burden of proof is on you, man. You were the one who stated that Russell has everything Anderson has.

So far, you have not done that.

The point remains. Anderson played in the pro bowl. Russell was on the couch.

By the way, I was the original poster

So he was a top 4 QB in the AFC? About 38 AFC QB's plus Josh Cribbs would've had to be injured for any Raider QB to have made the Pro Bowl...

Anyways, Pro Bowl smack is just about as bad as Preseason smack. One of your two friends on here must be Medmann if your talking Pro Bowl smack...

Just because you have glasses and buck teeth doesn't mean everyone does.

I also find it kind of odd that you remember me posting my information (which didn't really tell much). You want me to post more personal information? Well, now you sound like a stalker of some sort. Do stalkers get all the girls? Or do they just follow them places?

Of course you Browns fans got the wrong impression from what I said. I have tried to avoid correcting you, but you seem to keep bringing up this "probowl" and "couch" thing.

I meant that Anderson doesn't have anything Russell doesn't in the "physical" sense - you know, "skills". Russell is a very talented QB and has all the tools to be a great one. Of course, that depends on how well he develops.

But if you want to tell me that Anderson is more physically gifted than Russell - be my guest. I will enjoy laughing at your response.

You just used smack about what it would take a Raider QB to make the Pro Bowl. Therefore, you have used Pro Bowl smack.

Your smack must be really bad if you don't even like it.

Even if it wasn't for the fact Russell is slightly overweight right now, Anderson would still be more physically gifted than him.

Russell isn't slightly overweight - he is at his playing weight. If you've seen him - he doesn't have a stomach that bulges or hangs out, it is flat. He is just a big guy.

What proof do you have that Anderson is more physically gifted than Russell. I can show you some things Russell can do that Anderson can't.

You obviously can't tell right now, but I am laughing at you.

How about coming back on the Ravens? Throwing 29 Td's 10-5 record while a starter?

Well, Russell hasn't had the opportunity to play the Ravens. But because the Ravens are in the Brown's division, they have 2 opportunities a year to come back on the Ravens.

But I wasn't talking about records or game stats - can't compare when Russell only has one game under his belt.

Thanks for the reply though, browniepunts. This thread I started is sure getting a lot of attention.

And I don't compare stats because the "pro bowl" QB who has played in the NFL for a couple years obviously has better stats than a Rookie. That is why I opted to compare other traits.

So you're saying you have nothing concrete...only "upside". Enjoy your inept organization being the joke of the NFL from the front office on down until who knows when. We as Browns fans have been there, I know, but the difference is the people on this board aren't the type to go around running our mouths like jackasses all over the internet.

You obviously have a lot of trust in your fellow board members. However, I know someone from this board (who I will not name) who has posted on raiderfans.net. I'm sure there are more than just one. Just as I am sure there are more Raider fans out here that do this. However, the majority of Raider fans are respectable and do not venture to other boards just to stir up controversy.

So, I see no difference between the Browns and Raiders fans.

Also, you swore in your post. I got temporarily banned for less. The same should be done for you. Otherwise, there would be favoritism to browns fans... and I don't consider that something respectable people would do.

Swearing?

Not at all. Can't you post a video of Anderson to prove me wrong? JaMarcus Can do amazing things as a QB. I am arguing that Russell is a more physically gifted quarterback. By not responding with an example, you are proving your side of the argument to be worthless.
