Your WR is definitely your weak spot at least until Smith comes back. Huge gamble on Henry IMHO unless you drafted him late. We had our draft today - 10 teams, with 6 bench players (16 total) and he went undrafted. No surprise to me. At minimum you'll be competitive, likely better than that though.
Thoughts on my team (10 team league)? I'm not sold on my RB tandem, but am happy otherwise Starters: QB Ben Roethlisberger RB Jamal Lewis RB Ronnie Brown TE Ben Watson WR Terrell Owens WR Braylon Edwards WR Chris Chambers K Shayne Graham D Will Witherspoon D DJ Williams
Bench: BN-QB Matt Hasselbeck BN-RB Rudi Johnson BN-RB Kevin Smith BN-TE Donald Lee BN-WR Dwayne Bowe BN-WR Bobby Engram

I'm surprised you picked Henry. Nobobdy knows what he'll do at this point, if anything at all. clwb- You have a nice WR corps. That's the strength of my team as well. My weak spot is my QB's, which is what hurts me every year because I draft them pretty late. My WR's are studded out, though. I'd give you a B overall, pretty solid all around. Don't know about the IDP, we don't use them, so I can't comment there. Here's my team I just finished drafting an hour ago (10 person league, drafted 10th ): QB1 Matt Hasselbeck QB2 David Garrard
RB1 Joseph Addai RB2 Jamal Lewis RB3 Earnest Graham
WR1 Randy Moss WR2 Larry Fitzgerald WR3 Brandon Marshall WR4 Lee Evans WR5 Vincent Jackson
TE1 Tony Gonzalez TE2 LJ Smith
K1 Rob Bironas K2 Mason Crosby
D1 Pittsburgh D2 Jacksonville
Free Agent pick up - Felix Jones

Not at all, either you're in a 4 team league or you're in a 12 team league full of mongoloids. Which if I had to place a wager, it would be on the latter, but either way you'll be fine.

We just drafted our league tonight. 10 teams. $100 per person. Person with the high score at the end of the year gets $200. 3rd place gets money back. 2nd place gets $250. Winner takes $450. Heres my squad. In parenthesis are the spot I drafted them.
QB: Ben Roethlisberger (53) WR: Chad Johnson (28) WR: Wes Welker (48) WR: Laveranues Coles (68) RB: Marion Barber (8) RB: Marshawn Lynch (13) W/R: Jamal Lewis (33) TE: Heath Miller (93) K: Adam Vinetieri (133) DEF: Minnesota (73)
Bench: WR: Patrick Crayton (88), Reggie Williams (113) RB: Felix Jones (108), Chris Johnson (153) DEF: Jacksonville (128) QB: Aaron Rodgers (148)
First week projections have me with the high score. I'm feelin good about this squad.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Fetch,
Stop playing with the mentally challenged.
President, you are weak at RB IMO, not any of those guys are true "stud" FB running backs.
My only 2 real concern with my team is; Can I take 1 of 2 without Steve Smith and Is Darren McFadden the real deal? If McFadden can get me 1,100 8 TD's I should be in good shape...anything more than that will be studly.
I was sitting in the 6th round...KW2 went in the fifth...I said to myself, "self" You better take Steve smith....you can live with Heath Miller or someone....Chris Cooley goes...Dallas Clark goes....Jason Witten goes....WTF? It's my pick...Did anyone take Gates I say, "No". lol really? I'll take him....is he hurt or something....???
Anyway, I got Steve Smith solely because he was on suspension, no Idea besides his turf toe people would shy on gates.....

What are you talking about? He has great RB's, it may only be a 10 team league, but Lynch and Barber are both 1st round rb in 12 team leagues.
I also wouldnt be surprsied if Miller outscores Gates this year.

That's why they play the games. We will see if Barber can handle a full load and if the Bills can do anything.
Like you said, a 10 man league, so there are some other guys running around with much better combo of RB's.

There may be someone with a better combination but I'm with 2119. There are probably more people with a worse combination of backs. Drafting in the back end of the first round I think those are very good backs. If it was 12 teams both there is no way Lynch would have gotten back to him. He should probably go in the first.
Barber probably won't have to carry the full load anyway. Felix Jones will be as much help as Julius ever was. Barber will still get most of the carries and all of the goal line carries.

And thats fine, you may not feel comfortable with that, but based on overall value of the picks, its a great tandem.

Rate my team guys
12 team league.
QBs: Tom Brady Vince Young (only has to play 1 week lol)
RBs: Jamal Lewis Thomas Jones DeAngelo Williams Chris Johnson Ricky Williams Ray Rice
WRs: Braylon Edwards Wes Welker Derrick Mason Bobby Engram (damn early draft) Devin Hester
TE: Vernon Davis
K: Neil Rackers
DEF: San Diego
I didn't take a running back until the 4th round. I was taking a gamble as wide receivers get a point a catch making them in my mind a lot more valuable than usual. I just want to get your guys opinions thanks.

I really wanted to get Thomas Jones late, but someone reached up and grabbed him while I was fiddling with WR's.
I think he is going to have a big year, Favre to take the pressure off the run game and Faneca to block....I see a big year from whoever emerges uninjured from the Jets backfield.

You need to stay injury free to succeed, getting Jamal in rd 4 is good value, hopefully T.Jones finds the endzone more this year, if things go your way, you could be ok.
You have NO depth though, and that will probably end up hurting you because i dont think you can afford an injury at any position.

Thanks, I see you posted your team so I'll return the favor.
I do agree that once you get Smith back from suspension that will help and Henry should do pretty decent as well. The thing that concerns me is your RBs actually. Stephen Jackson had that big hold out so it might take him so time to get going hopefully he'll get on track for ya. McFadden is a rookie so you never know could be boom or bust and the thing with Maroney is New England passes so much I'm unsure how many touches he'll get.

I thought about that too, but the way I put my positive spin on it was this:
SJax was the "AP of last year" but got hurt...so I am looking for the post hype sleeper there. MCfadden will get his touches because I don't see any WR having a beast year in OAK, but my team does hinge on the success of McFadden, I agree, boom or bust...
Maroney had something like 834 rushing yards last season....he rushed for 4 consecutive 100 yard games to end the year last season, so I don't buy that they pass allot, yes, they did pass a lot, but they also score a lot so that means grinding teams down at the end of the game.....they probably won't be trying so hard to break the records this year is passing since they own them already.
I agree, my running backs all have questions marks, but they all have big potential...considering the team I am playing week 1 is starting Dwayne Bowe at his flex spot....I feel good with Maroney at my flex.
The way I see it is, my team hinges on the boom or bust of Darren Mcfadden. I went with his upside over hoping Ryan Grant can repeat, instead I took BE at the end of the second round, just couldn't pull the trigger on Ryan Grant and took Mcfadden in the 3rd.
1 pick 6: Stephen Jackson 2: Braylon 3: Mcfadden 4: Maroney 5: Steve Smith 6: Gates 7: Eli Manning 8: New Englands defense (Giants, Minnesota gone already) 9. Anthony Gonzo (With Steve Smith out I had to get WR's) 10. Reggie Williams 11. Ray Rice (Wilis Mcgahees sweet knees) 12. Chris henry (strictly upside potential pick) 13. Limas Sweed (Probably get dropped, but has looked good in preseason) 14. Shayne Grahm (Phil dawson went in round 12 before Chris Henry)

I agree with you about ryan grant - i want no part of him this year, at his ADP. i'd much rather have mcgahee or jamal early in the 3rd than grant in the late 2nd. however, i think drafting mcfadden this year could also prove to be a mistake. like you said though, on the other hand he could also have a breakout year. i've found that through the years i've shifted my fantasy philosophy more and more toward experience and consistency than potential. it's the reason i'm targeting a guy like edgerrin james this year (the 10th best back of last season, which everyone seems to have forgotten) for value rather than risking a high pick on a boom or bust candidate.

Anyone else think my team is stacked? Play 2 QB's....took DA in the 7th round as a value pick (if you can believe that) after taking Manning and Big Ben. Apparently everyone in my league thinks he's a one year wonder. Thought he was more valuable as trade bait / insurance policy for Manning and his knee then some mid-level position player. Also, Westbrook fell to me at #5 overall and McGahee dropped in to me in the middle of the 3rd round. Hated taking so many Steelers and Ravens but whatever. McFaden was a flier. Grabbed Smith and Young in the later rounds to hopefully find a quality 3rd back but rolled the dice on DMC being a boom pick in round 5. Could easily do nothing. QB Peyton Manning QB Ben Roethlisberger RB Brian Westbrook RB Willis McGahee RB/WR Darren McFadden WR Anquan Boldin WR Marvin Harrison TE Benjamin Watson D/ST Cowboys D/ST K Mason Crosby Bench QB Derek Anderson RB Selvin Young WR Hines Ward RB Kevin Smith

You might have some serious problems with your WRs. Harrison's a ?? and Ward might be a liability.

Yeah, I mean if Harrison is just average that's probably good for 800 yards and 7-8 or so TD's. Indy's offense is just so good that even with Wayne as the #1 option, there's still plenty of catches to go around. Took him in the 9th round I think, so not losing much if he doesn't do much. Have a high waiver priority so I'll probably nab another WR soon enough. Someone will get injured somewhere.
As for Ward, same thing. Someone has to catch passes and Ward is a favorite target in the red zone. He's not going to have a huge year but he'll be a top 30 or so guy (similar to Harrison)....which is fine when you're pairing him with a steady, top 20 guy like Boldin. Doesn't hurt Boldin is in a contract year either.
Not thrilled with either one of those guys but when you only start 2 WR's, you don't need world beaters.....especially given that my QB's should pull the rope a little harder then most teams (everyone else is so-so at QB. Not other team really has 2 good guys. Most have one good and one average). Boldin should be solid and I can scramble to find one other guy who can produce. Maybe it ends up being a rookie, who knows.
Also, I would hope 1 of 3 out of McFadden, Smith and Young will atleast be serviceable. If that's the case, they'll score more points then most WR's week in and week out at the flex position.
There was a ridiculous run on WR's TO, MOSS and Edwards all went in the top 15 so I wasn't going to reach on middle of the road guys and leave Anderson (given his value at that point) or a starting RB sitting on the board. I didn't really see how a guy like let's say, Santana Moss, was worth more then a guy like Selvin Young. If young gets mediocre numbers for a starting RB he's probably going to score more points then a majority of the middle round wideouts.
Plus, I could easily trade Big Ben or DA for a good wideout if it's a huge problem.

Investing that much into the QB position might hurt you a bit but overall you got some nice value, specifically at RB.

That's a pretty good team. Best that I've seen on here so far IMO. Solid starters all around. Your WRs remind me of my lineup (see my team above).

Not to mention Boldin wants out of the desert, and didn't even dress for their last preseason game. Harrison and Boldin both dropped WAY down in our draft, something unheard of in years past.

Here's the first draft I did (12 team live draft):
QB - Jason Campbell RB - Marion Barber III RB - Marshawn Lynch WR - Braylon Edwards WR - Andre Johnson WR/RB - Michael Turner TE - Heath Miller D/ST - Patriots K - Neil Rackers
Bench: QB - Kurt Warner RB - Lendale White RB - Matt Forte RB - Ray Rice WR - Joey Galloway WR - Bryant Johnson WR - DJ Hackett
I like my team except the QB position. I just dropped Maurice Morris for Warner since there's rumors that he's taking over for Leinart, but I'm pretty stacked at RB...

Dude, how does that even happen? There is no way those guys should still be on the board for you unless your playing with people who dont watch football, Id love to see the draft board for that disgrace.
I hope thats a money league, because you should win, even with the shaky quarterback play.

I got the first pick in my 10 person league.
My team:
Big Ben LT Brandon Jacobs Andre Johnson Calvin Johnson Jason Witten Nate Kaeding Dallas D
Bench: Julius Jones Santana Moss Phillip Rivers David Garrard Deshaun Jackson
I know I'm pretty thin at WR, and RB..................but I got me some QB's-----LOL; kinda dumb. But I felt like I needed someone to step in if Ben gets hurt behind his revamped OL. Deshaun was my super-sleeper, I may drop him for Devin Thomas though.
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

It's a pay league that I won last year. About half the people know what they're doing. Someone took Manning and Romo and the first two rounds. Someone took Minnesota's D in the 3rd. Everyone likes taking QB's really early for some reason so I end up with slim pickings there, but get stacked on RB/WR's. I got Barber with the 9th pick, Braylon in 2nd, Lynch 3rd and Andre Johnson 4th...
