So much for Bennett's "potential".

Seemed like Pittman was doing better than Purcell...I wonder how hurt he is.

I think Sanders should have made the 53 over Hubbard.

How do we know anything about the other guys?

Would have liked to see a CB on the PS.

Early prediction: Hubbard lands on IR when JJ returns...him or one of our 300 TEs.

I think it shows how bad our CBs in camp really were.

The Pats just signed Deltha O'Neil. Eugene Wilson and Fernando Bryant are still out there. The only rookie CB name out there that I recognized was Trae Williams. Hopefully, Savage is still working (hopefully) to bring one of these guys in. Very surprised to see Wilson let go, but I'd have to think he can help us out at the back end.

Why did the Pats cut Bryant...then turn around and sign O'Neil?

O'Neil probably feels like he died and went to heaven.

I would think that O'Neil would have been an upgrade over Cousins/Daniels

Also cut Lynch right before signing O'Neil.

Dude, it was a joke.

You know, like, hahahaha.

As in you can screw up til no end in Cincy and still stick on the team if they think you can help them win.

I wasn't questioning you at all...... just making light of Cincy's complete and utter disaster of an organization. My apology if you thought I was calling you out. Guess I should have added some of these:

My bad

That's alright man. I'm really not an a hole.

I was just basically ripping the Bengals organization. I should have added the smilies in, I can see where it looked like I was attacking you and questioning your comment.

If Savage is serious about winning now, he needs to grab another CB out there ASAP. Give them some time to become familiar with plays and packages and coverage assignments and such.

As of now we have no nickleback. We have some average dime
CB's trying to hold down the nickle slot. And we are one injury away from being in serious trouble. Find someone out there and sign em to a one year deal. That way we wont have to worry about future cap ramifications.

I like Ricky Manning jr. If memory serves me correctly wasn't he playing lights out a few years ago and had double digit int's? I know he's a bit under-sized but if he can play he can play. Wonder why Chicago cut him.

Yeah I just seen that. He also only has ever had 5 int's in a season, not double digit's.

eh, I'm more concerned with grabbing a CB than anything else right now. I just feel after Wright and McD we have no one who can cover.

Wasn't he the guy who was rated close to D'Qwell at ILB coming out of college?

FWIW, the Cowboys finally cut 1 of their 7 (?) CBs

Evan Oglesby-DB- Cowboys Sep. 2 - 3:55 pm et

Cowboys released CB Evan Oglesby.
The move makes room on the roster for special teamer Keith Davis, who's expected to sign Wednesday.

---------------

also....

Zackary Bowman-DB- Bears Sep. 2 - 5:18 pm et

Bears waived fifth-round rookie CB Zackary Bowman.
Bowman goes to make room for newly acquired Dan Buenning. The Patriots were known to be interested in drafting the former Nebraska Cornhusker, so he could be a possible waiver claim.

-------------

I´d say they are both upgrades in talent over Lawson.....if Steptoe is ready to replace Cribbs we should sign 1 of those guys
