Why are you sure he's wrong about "b"? It's an Internet message board. We could all be lying about the stuff we post. And odds are, in my opinion, that at least 25% of the stuff you read on here is pure BS.

Not saying "b" is blowing smoke. I have no idea if he's a coach or a bank teller. But he could be just about anything. As could you or I.

No, I don't believe I ever said he wasn't a coach. I may have said I didn't think he acts like a coach. And I don't. But that is a different statement entirely.

And just what info has he put out here that lets me know if he's a coach or not? He posts fairly intelligently on most football related issues but so do many on here that are no closer to being a coach than I am.

I'm also interested in all this research you appear to have done on "b". Seems slightly stalkerish, yet you are taking me to task for questioning his credentials by implying that someone (like me) could ruin his career. Since I have no intention of doing any such thing nor would I know how to, I find the implication more than a little offensive.

As far as figuring out who you are....perhaps someone has tried, I do not know. Nor do I care. Trust me when I say I do not care one iota about your credentials or lack thereof.

It is true I have traded barbs with the old ball coach. As I have with several other posters on here. I personally take them in stride. As do most on here. The fact that "b" can't seem to do that leads me to wonder about his coaching credentials if not his anger management skills. But that may just be my interpretation.

Anyway, I'm sure your post was well-intended. If it will ease your mind let me assure you I am not planning on attacking your buddy. In fact, although I have no idea where he lives or coaches he, in fact, does have my home address. I'm just interested in where he coaches. And since he started this thread I see no reason not to inquire about that fact.

OK. If this is indeed the case why is his location apparently this huge secret? If this is indeed a state secret please PM me with the info. I can be trusted. I used to have a Top Secret clearance back in the day so I know how to keep my mouth shut.

As far as all these clues that he's supposedly left, I'm evidently a lousy detective because I haven't figured it out. Although, I've had several PMs telling where they are sure he coaches. Funny, though, they don't match.

But that's OK. I like a good mystery. I'll play along. At least when I've got time on my hands like I did today. It's like the NY Times Crossword on Sunday. Good for at least at hour's worth of wasted time. And it's damn sure better than watching the conventions......

A quick reply to P, Ooohrah, DC, and others......you are all pretty well right on. Not only can that happen, it DID happen. I had someone not only go around the boards playing otto with their posts, but when they found out where I coached, began calling the school constantly telling them how stupid they were to have a coach that knew nothing about football, what a joke the team was, what an idiot I was, etc. That COULD have cost me my job but didn't. I learned a pretty good lesson in that. I am very vague because of that very reason. People on here can SAY they would never do such a thing, but read their venom filled posts. Who's to say you can believe them?

I posted for those that had cared and talked about it previously. I forgot I had a couple of fans that would jump at the opportunity to hijack the thread so they could feel superior to others by taking their shots. Such is life. I'll just stick to PMs to update those that have asked about the team and my son....and those that I have trusted with where I coach will already know.
