http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/article.php?id=8771Browns veteran offensive lineman Ryan Tucker returned to practice Monday for the first time since fracturing his hip in the spring.
Browns head coach Romeo Crennel said Tucker would be "very limited" in practice on Monday.
"I'm very anxious to get back out there. I'm very anxious to play in a game," Tucker said before practice. "But I haven't put on full pads since the last game of last season (Dec. 30 against the San Francisco 49ers). Wednesday will be my first time for that.
"I can only do what I can do. My main goal right now is to get completely healthy. I'm not going to rush to get back and put this team in a bad situation.
"That was a tough injury I had. It's a strange one. You just don't get an injury like that very often. I feel fine right now, but like I said, I'm just going to take it one step at a time."
Tucker started the final eight games of last season at right guard for the Browns.
Crennel said he is concerned about the team's lack of depth on the right side of the line. Tucker is also the backup to right tackle Kevin Shaffer after having started at that spot from 2002-06 in his first five years with the Browns.
Seth McKinney, who re-signed with the team in the offseason, will likely get the start at right guard against the Cowboys. In 2007, his first year with the Browns after signing as a free agent from the Miami Dolphins, he started the first eight games before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury.
Rex Hadnot, who had replaced Tucker in training camp and the preseason after also coming over from Miami as a free agent, is nursing a knee injury. Crennel said he, too, would be limited in practice.
"I'm day-to-day," said Hadnot, who got hurt last Thursday in the 16-10 loss to the Chicago Bears. "It's disappointing to have gotten hurt so late in the preseason, but it's just something I've got to deal with."
Lennie Friedman, a versatile 10-year veteran who can play both center and guard, is out for the year on the Injured Reserve List with a shoulder injury.
That leaves guard/right tackle Isaac Sowells, a 2006 third-round draft choice who has played in one game in his two years with the Browns, and Scott Young, a fourth-year guard who was picked up by the club via waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, as the only healthy backups on the right side. Young played in one game last year with the Eagles after having been in 13 contests in 2006.
