I mean, congratulations Pit.

If you didn't have that "spitfire competative spirit", I doubt I would like you "as much" as I do! But I know you do. And you know that I know you do. And I know that you know that I know that you do..................

Hey everyone - it looks like since they moved the Baltimore/Houston game you have to save your picks again for this week.

Looks like the board fixed it self. Thanks for looking out Go!

After Friday I won't be able to update the winner message board for 12 days. Its time for me to hit the beach one last time before winter rolls in., I'll just list two week winners when I get back.

Week Two Winners

Our first tie ever

RICO & Dawgg66

they both picked 11 winners with total of 52 on the MNF tiebreaker. GMdawg also picked 11 but had 42 pts for MNF. Looks like GM is out of the basement!

PitDAWG has a two game lead.

No problem - I couldn't just let it go! When I looked it showed only one person had submitted their picks for the week.

Have fun on your trip Hoop!!!

Something that has bothered me for awhile now - who the hell picks AGAINST the Browns in that league? (Pit, others...)

We're all Browns fans on a Browns board in a Browns league. Are you people so desperate to win something that you'll pick against your team? It's not like ya win a million dollars at the end - ya win kudos and a digital trophy.

Could we agree to just pick the Browns? lol, am I the only one remotely troubled by this?

If I think the Browns are going to win, I pick them. If I think they are going to lose, I don't. Pretty simple, really.

Why in the hell would you pick the Browns even if you think they are going to lose?

What? lol. Last week I took Cleveland b/c of the points and I won. But I never let my love for a team get into the way of betting. Plus if I pick against Cleveland and we win I feel great! If not, well at least I won. So it's a win/win IMO

Whatever lol. Clearly no one is seeing where I'm coming from here.

Everyone has one on me - you all know who I'm going with for the next 14 Browns games.

Should I lose, oh well - should I win, oh well. Again - NO MONEY.

I see where you are coming from. I don't like not picking the Browns, but when betting on games you can't let love for your team dictate your bet. I know this pickem is free, but I am in a few others that aren't and I make the same picks throughout so it makes keeping track of everything much easier. Well, the ones that bet against the spread.

I hear ya man. It is actually extremely hard (actually impossible) for me to pick against the Browns with no money on the line. Hell, it's really hard to pick against them when money IS involved. Prolly a good reason why I never win a Pick Em league. It's a mental thing, but it's like I wouldn't feel right doing it....

Since Hoop's not here and I can't really work today (baby sitter in hospital - she's ok - but try to work when you have an active 7 month old sitting next to you!)...I thought I'd post some standings:

Congrats to GM for picking 12 winners this week!

Overall leaderboard:
Pit - with a 3 game lead
dawglb
GM
bigdatut
3 people tied for 5th
ballpeen
ohiobw23

WTH?????

I'm still actually leading this thing?

Well, if that isn't proof positive that sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, nothing is!

Unless people get hot on the late games I don't think anyone is gonna have a banner week.

Man did I blow on the 1pm games lol.

Got that Browns game right though

I blew chunks this week! Only FOUR games right? DAMN! Oh well. I'm not really good about picking on spreads, I usually just pick who I think is going to win outright, unless the spread looks way off to me.

If I only picked 2 games differently.. i would have won the week.. I had the tie breaker nailed.. lol 49 points..

and we should strip Jules of the top of the week for picking the Giants over the Browns.. ironically if she did pick the Browns... she would have been the lone person on top with 12 points.. That's what happens when you don't pick the Browns..
