Whats up with him I know just because hes from cleveland does not mean he has to be Browns fan but it almost seems like he hates the Browns.
In his season prediction for the 2008 season he picks the steelers to go to the Super Bowl from AFC. I mean come on i am not saying the browns are going to the super bowl but picking the steelers over the pats, colts, chargers, and jags ,it just seems likes he is going out his way to distance himself from Cleveland
Even though i know he supports the Indians he just always seems to go against the browns.

I believe he's entitled to his opinion. As an ex-player he's probably a bit more realistic than the people on this board.
Kind of a dumb thread, actually.

I'm amazed that he picked the Steelers over the teams you mentioned and I think you should add the Browns, Bengals, Bills, Texans, and several other teams. The Steelers will finish either third or fourth in the division.

Well, just to stir the pudding, the Browns picked 4 players ahead of him in the 1985 draft, where he was finally selected in the tenth round,.....Cleveland probably didn't have a lot of picks from the Kosar and Cousineau deals.

He is from Cleveland, he is a Browns fan, and he has proclaimed that many times on his show ... which I listen to daily. Additionally, he gets teased about having a man-crush on Quinn, not only for playing at his alma mater but also because he went to his childhood team.
Being a fan of a team has nothing to do with how he feels the results will end up.

I guarantee you that will not happen. I am hoping they finish second. But, they won't finish below that.
PS- Until we beat them, they are still the favorite to win the division.

There is no reason to pick them over the Bengals. -The Bengals have a better o-line, a better quarterback, and better recievers. The Browns win the division, the Bengals finish second. The Steelers finish either third or fourth.

I did. Maybe a better title would have been 'Why do so many analysts think the Steelers will finish better than the Browns?'.
You chose to make the thread about Mike Golic.

It's debateable... you forgot to mention defense, however. The Squeelers are still better (probably significantly better) in that department than either the Bungles or the Browns. As Cinci easily has the worst defense in the AFC North, I would be very surprised to see them in second at the end of the season.

I'm indifferent on the Mike's. I think they play the "skinny, nerdy know-it-all" and "big dumb jock" angle too much. And it seems like they talk about their football bets 45% of the show.
I used to watch on ESPN2 when I was getting ready for work....but I haven't really listened for a year or two. I get all my "sportstalk" from here or elsewhere on the internet. Radio is so old.

I rarely listen to them anymore even on my long commute. I'm way bored with their show but, I like the guys. I've been listening to the First Team on Fox on my way in quite a bit, they are a little more entertaining to me.....for now.

Get a Sirius radio if you have a long commute. Then you can listen to the NFL channel. Or 100 other channels that are crystal clear. This is still a dumb thread.......

This statement pretty well covers it all IMO

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I listen to local Raleigh sportstalk and last week they had Tressel and this week they had the coach from Northwestern (primarily because they play Duke this week) and this morning they had Braylon Edwards on and he made a bold statement about the Browns quarterback situation stating quite emphatically that by mid-season he guarantees that the QB will ... Oh crap, I've got a meeting in 3 minutes, gotta run.....

Look before you leap; I didn't say he played for the Browns. I said the Browns picked 4 players ahead of him, meaning he was overlooked by the Browns at least 4 times. The Oilers took him in the 10th. IF there were sour grapes, this could provide that motivation.

I really like both Mikes, enjoy their show, and listen every morning on my way to work.
But I've been listing more and more to the guys over on Fox Sports Radio. Outside of Mike and Mike, the rest of the ESPN lineup can't touch these guys. They are very good. And Andrew Siciliano is a Browns fan.

Bingo.. You want to be the best you have t beat the best. . Let's face it, the Steelers have been the staple in the AFC North and until we beat them on a consistant basis, we shouldn't get any love..

And I'll echo GG's love of Sirius. Hell, I listen to it even it while driving the half mile to the babysitter's house each morning! I also listen online (which you can do for free if you have a Sirius radio). Not all channels are available online, but most of the good ones are (music, NFL).

Jules it really is a good investment. Especially if your in the car for long periods of time. My wife got me one 2 years ago and I turned around and got her one for her birthday last year. We both hardly listen to regular radio anymore. There is a TON of things to listen to. Sports talk,NFL Net, comedy, talk, music, Stern, plus every college and pro game on the weekends You guys with Sirius, did you get a letter regarding a class-action suite against Sirius? Something about the Internet radio?
Our honor defend, we will fight to the end, for OHIO! GO BUCKS!

your completely missing my point i could care less whether someone agress with my opinion on the subject but what im saying is why even bother posting if all your going to do is bash the thread rather stating your opinion on the actual subject but anyways this is getting way off the actual subject ,so who cares were all Browns fans.
