I have a Stratus 3 which, I believe, is the cheapest version they have. It is mounted on the dash and is hardwired into the car's electrical system. I also purchased what Sirius calls the FM Direct cable. This is so the (Sirius)radio's signal is pumped directly into the car radio versus being "broadcast" from your (Sirius)radio to your outside antenna and back into your car radio. It eliminates all of the possible interference.
They may do it differently now, not sure. There are other options like buying a car with a Sirius compatible radio already installed, in-dash. GM and Chrysler have these.
I believe you can also buy one that comes with an indoor docking station so that you can carry it into the house and listen to it there as well.

Well, thrilla81...
after all the talk about the thread's quality and satellite radio, let me be only the second Dawg to say,
"welcome to the boards."
Don't worry, It'll get a little easier forya around here... I got banged around a bit when I first came on board, and still get roughed up from time to time.
Let's be honest: the new Dawg in the pack's gotta make his own place...
Stick around... and we'll all get better acquainted.

Yeah Jules they all do the same things pretty much but some are blue with a remote and look a lil better. I forget what mine is (it has an orange display, stratus I think) and it comes with everything you need to hook it up. I have mine hooked to the air vent right next to my car stereo and it comes with like 5 different mounts. I lucked out b/c my car came with XM built in and an Aux jack so it's crystal clear. it comes with a built in tuner so if you don't have an Aux jack you can tune the radio to a non-used station and still use it. I lucked out again and have the antenna mounted to some metal on my moon roof cover so the antenna is not seen outside and gets the signal thru the moon roof.
I know there is a site that sells parts and radios for Sirius that you should check out too. the name escapes me now,,crap I hear the ad on Sirius all the time. But I know you will enjoy it. I got it as a gift and thought paying for radio was stupid. But after a week of owning it I did a total change and bought Mandy one for her car. And with the merger it's going to get nothing but better.

For what it's worth, Both Greenie and Golic took the Cowboys even giving the Browns the points. Greenie said the Boys will win by 2 TD's. PS: I don't really care for the show and I'd prefer a local show in the morning because I'm a homer and I want to hear how the Browns are going to win.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

And even after seeing us last year, they're still saying it.

If I was betting on this game (Im not because I dont bet for or against the Browns) I would be all over Dallas only giving 5 1/2.
I think it could get ugly.
Eat it Phil...
