Well even if they aren't...and they beat OSU even by a fluke..they will be considered all that and more...they will be hyped up to be the greatest team ever....stupid media has ruined this game...they have made OSU the "overhyped" team and thus making USC the greatest team ever...it makes no sense...if OSU is so bad and overhyped why would USC get such prasie for beating them?
USC and OSU are both always overhyped...like last year OSU did not deserve to go to the national title game..they just happen to be that team after all thoes teams that lost late in the season. doesn't mean they suck..

I'm sick and tired of hearing how OSU can't win the big one...and the fact is they can't..no matter how you look at it..they are 0-2 in BIG games in recent history...2002 national title was the last BIG game we won...we have been great since then...just not great when it matters.


This game is HUGE for OSU on so many levels..i don't even care about going to the national title this year...if we lose this game OSUs national image is going to take a HUGE beating. I am pulling for them more then you will ever know..but i know the fact is
1) USC is 38-1 at home.
2) Pete carroll has never lost a season opener at the coliseum.
3) OSU is choking when it matters the most for whatever reason
4) OSUs star player is out or at least dinged enough that even if he plays wont make much of a diff.
and so many more...

USC is not the monster the media is making it out to be, but they are no joke. Odds are in their favor, so if he thinks i'm pathetic for saying the bucks will lose then he has no clue what he is talking about.

It might not be 43-30 like i predicted but we shall see.

i don't know how you can say ohio state was overhyped going into the bcs championship last year, considering every national media outlet whined because they were going...

since the florida game, they sure haven't been overhyped.

i think usc is a good team, loaded with talent, but i still question them...

you are right though, if ohio state loses, their image will take a beating from some of these critics, who are supposed to be objective, but clearly aren't...

and normally, you can say, oh well, who cares what the media thinks, but honestly the media has such a huge say in college football...

can you imagine if the nfl were like that? were the writers actually had power to put teams in the playoffs? there would be mass hysteria.

okay we weren't overhyped last year at all...i mean we were expected of more then we could deliever in the national title game...whats the word for that? wait that is overhyped...but in a diff context? does that make sense?

we were overhyped overall i'm not talking about for that game...for that game everyone thought we were going to get our ass beat pretty much cuz of the florida game. we had just lost pretty much our entire O...it was supposed to be a "down" year with the D being the key to win us games..we all thought hell if we lose 1 or 2 games it will be okay and understandable...but we were almost undefeated and that started the chants of ohh we deserve to be there etc...

I cannot believe there are so many fans that think we already lost. Geez guys, we are still stacked as a team. Just because USC looked good against crappy Virginia, it does not mean they are good. Boekman has the advantage of already being in a big time game, while Sanchez has not. That is a huge advantage IMO.

Also, we have like 3 top 100 RB's on this team, it sucks that Beanie is out, but we are still stacked at RB people.

This is going to be a defensive struggle and we will pull out a 20-17 game. That's my prediction.

yah...i'm guilty of that...i've given up...i can't take 2 deeply invested losses in a row...i'm all about browns beating some steeler ass tomorrow right now...

So if the browns dissapoint, i'll be down...but if OSU dissapoints i won't be too damaged for tomorrow

3-0 Georgia...and it's mid way 2nd quarter. woo...can you imagine if they win like 10-0 against their lowly SEC team? we would hear it now...

After squeaking by the Miami Redhawks last week I expected Michigan to lose, but not this big.

Purdue's blowing it....Oregon ties it up at 20.

I think everyone has bought into the Trojan hype. Betcha the game comes down to the last 5 minutes in the 4th. Whoever does NOT make a mistake in the back end of the game wins the game.

The one thing I do like about this game is were underdogs. When nobody expects you to win (and nobody in the media does) Tressel comes out ready to play. The Michigan game his first year and the 2002 National Championship game comes to mind.

On a side note, Georgia hung on to win versus South Carolina with an INT. I wonder if they will drop down a few?
BTW, the SC Qb has a helluva name. "Smelly" lol

Don't underestimate Carroll and the Trojans.

I know OSU fans really think they have a shot at winning, and that's cool, but please limit the excuses when or IF they lose, big if. Hell the excuses are already being made, but if the outcome shows that OSU isn't at the same level as USC, please, OSU fans show some class and accept the loss as a loss without the excuses. Oh and please if somebody doesn't make the play please do not email the guy with death threats like has been done before. Serious act classy.

In seriousness, I used to enjoy OSU then I read this place and seen that homerism is way out of control, and you guys, are a turn off in regards to this team. They are not all that and a bag of chips, but anyways, I wish them well because no one thinks they can win, and I love the underdog.

Good luck and prove the world wrong if not they will end up being considered a fraud.

The game isn't being shown where you are at? Hell the way they made the game sound on ESPN this week is that it was being shown nationwide. Looked at Sopcast and didn't see it, but would imagine it will be there though.

Anywhoos, all the talking heads keep telling us how Todd has not shown up on game days in big games.
But none of them mentioned the Defense.
I think Freeman has a huge game tonight along with Wilson.
I would also say the Todd has nobody that can seperate from DB's in the passing game.
Hartline and Robiskie are too slow and it seems our faster wideouts have rocks for hands.

I root for the teams I like that is for sure, but suit up? No. Sports do not control my life, nor does OSU vs USC. Even tomorrow when the Browns lose (most likely) It will not affect me, it is what it is. There is too much more important thing going on in my life then physically caring for something I have no control over.

Being a fan is one thing, having no control and acting foolish when a team that I am a fan of loses is another, so no I don't suit up if I did, I would care more but since I don't it isn't a life altering experience. Suit up now, LOL

There's nothing wrong with saying "WE". The way I look at it (not Ohio State, but just in general), I buy the apparel, I buy the tickets, I spend money at the stadium, I show up and cheer for my team. I help pay the players salaries (or facilities at the college level). So yeah, I feel like I earned the right to say "WE".

ok - think I have it on radio... I was hoping that maybe ESPN would show it here... but nope... I get to watch more of the damage of the hurricane (like I haven't seen enough today)
