The teams the Big Ten beat were Southern Illinois, Montanta St., Iowa State, Florida-Atlantic, Syracuse, and Louisiana-Layfatte (by 3). Hardly an impressive day, IMO.

Don't get me wrong.
I do not think a little extra laundry on the field would have changed anything.
But USC does not need their help.

At this point if I was USC I would be getting all the 1st teamers out of the game to save on injuries. Not proud of this but I was involved in a few games like this where we were so far behind there was no possiblle coming back and we would just try to find someones clock to clean. Not talking dirty hits but just trying to take our frustrations out on someon in a different uni.

Yeah that's why I didn't mention any of the other 7 teams.

yeah I know, OSU had their fair share of stupid mistakes. But, there were some blatant calls that the refs blew.

Big Ten crew in the shoe next year????

I hope by some miracle that USC ends up in the Rose Bowl to face OSU. Both teams at full strength, neutral refs, and PRYOR STARTING AT QB FOR THE LOVE OF JEBUS.

I am sure some will come along and tell us we are bad people but I think the frustration is normal. WHen I was playing hockey, we had a saying towards the end of games that we were getting blown out(too often) "IF YOU CANT BEAT EM,BEAT EM UP!!"

You're kidding right?

USC is MUCH better than Ohio State. Beanie and Pryor starting doesn't make a difference of 32 points.

No but getting our swiss cheese O-line more coached up might make a difference.
There is no doubt in my mind that USC is the best team in the country at this moment.
I am also sure that the balloon heads they will aquire this year will be their downfall at some point.
They have proven they can do that twice .

Well, he'll go with the rest of the crowd and complain about the refs, first.

With Beanie, and a Big Ten officiating crew, this might have only been a 21 point loss.

I said earlier, let's PRAY to god they win because it's going to be mighty hard to take a loss after what I just saw.

While the refs are not the key factor in the game, they are definitely a large one. The penalties in the first half really changed the complexion of the game.

The first main factor would be the obvious with Wells being out, but the second would be Tressel's stubbornness (reminiscent of the first UT game, although with a much more lopsided result) to go with the QB that makes plays rather than the "tried and true" quarterback that looks like a deer in the headlights. Boeckman reminds me of Charlie Frye in that there always seems to be more pressure when he's in the game, because he always manages to run straight into it.

Our o-line sucks. I'm sorry to break that to you, but they have had 2 years to coach up this O-line, and they still haven't done it.

It's time for Tress to man up and FIRE some of his buddy coaches.

I'm not saying that the refs caused the loss. OSU got beat down today. No doubt.

However, there were some pretty obvious calls that the refs didn't make that went in USC's favor.

Yes, by me thinking you guys looks foolish complaining about refs in a 32 point loss... that means I need reading comprehension skills.

Cresent said "I hope we play them in a Rose Bowl, with Beanie and neutral refs". That's not saying the refs played a role in the 32 point blowout?

He's reaching for someone to argue with about the SEC being better than the big 10 most likely, which most of us sensible Buckeye fans already know. But he probably feels the need to tell us again.

You know, I didn't say anything negative about OSU, until I saw complaining about the refs. Most "sensible" Ohio State fans would know that complaining about the refs in a 32 point blowout is senseless.

I am completely serious. OSU controlled the game for the first half. They just couldn't take advantage of their opportunities. Pryor and Beanie would give this offense a COMPLETELY different look. To me it's plain as day that when Pryor is in the game, he is threatening to a defense. Boeckman, not so much. They're able to just constantly tee off when he's in because he can't make the big plays.

Not anywhere do I see posted, "The ref's cost the Buckeyes the game."
Do I need some lemmon juice and a candle to see the "secret writting"?

Well I do think the reffing was pretty homeristic, but I think that was to be expected and while it played a role in our losing, it was not the biggest reason we lost, or even close to it. The biggest reason we lost is just they are a better team, plain and simple. They were a higher ranked team werent they? I think the poor one sided reffing just out it to a place where we had no chance at all of overcoming that.
