Are you talking about the chain marco's, or is there a independent shop with the same name? Marco's is my favorite for the chain type pizza. I always get x-cheese, pepperoni and feta! Yumm!

Everyone likes to slam Papa John's but I like their pizzas. Every Wednesday that have a special if you live in my development you get 50% off so we order from them at least once a week. Got us a chicken club pizza last night and it was very tasty. It's hit or miss with them but usually it's pretty good. There's a Guy's pizza that has an amazing Chicago style deep dish that's pricey but pretty damn good too. If you can't tell pizza is by far my favorite food

2 of my favorite places of all-time are Romito's (awesome pies) on St. Clair in Collinwood and Gionino's in Akron. I lived off Gionino's while I was in college.

And Ammo, why the hell didn't you just take it back? If it disguested you that much call them and get a new pizza. I mean you said at least you have lunch/dinner tomorrow so obviously it wasn't horrible. I just don't get all the fuss I guess but if it was me I would have called them and got something else. I am not going to eat something that turns my stomach just because,,u know?

I live in Rootstown right in between Kent and Ravenna. Gioninos is a pretty big chain in this area. We have two of them within 10 minutes of us. Pretty good stuff but I prefer Guidos. Down here it is like a little rivalry, you are either a Gio customer or a Guidos. Even at my kids school, Friday is pizza day and one week it is Gios and one week it is Guidos.

One of the better pies in that area. When I worked at GE, we would get it all the time. That and Messina's.

There is no more pizza in this world.

I am in mourning. The venerable Tangier in Struthers Ohio has closed up shop. With it went the world's greatest pizza.

I hope Points wasn't banned for that misstep. Dude's too young to understand how to properly post.

Fletch...seriously, you're gonna get that anal over a post about PIZZA? LOL.

I swore I'll stay out of your business but my god...

and 337, I didn't have time to call them back and demand a new pizza. For one, I have things to do after 7 PM and also, I feel like a douche for complaining.

I take it as one of life's lessons learned, but I wanted to warn others. The supposed "chipotle of pizza" blows.

In Cbus, Adriatico's is the BEST, within walking distance from my place so I order from there often. I will also occasionally get Hounddog pizza and Formaggio.

In Cleveland, gotta go with CTown Pizza. Love their PMS---Pepperoni, Mushroom, Sausage.

With all this said, the only pizza "chain" I order from is Guys Pizza.

Go to their website and fill out the feedback form to let them know you were dissatisfied with the product that you received. It won't fix the problem you had this time but you'll probably receive a coupon better than the ones in the newspaper or what have you.

It also allows both the manager at that store as well as the regional manager to know that they are on alert. Companies take complaints very seriously.

Here:

http://www.donatos.com/feedback/index.asp

Include your e-mail address so they can contact you.

Been there done that.

Who got anal? I gave you a simple solution to your issue if it happens again in the future.

Now initially your mad and venting now it is a warning? Which is it? Wait this is a pizza topping, I really don't care. I was just giving you some advice because you are young, but if it happens again it falls on you since this is a pretty simple circumstance to avoid.

This is simple stuff man, simple stuff.

Yeah, Donatos is good, I just think they are overpriced.

Adriaticos is good, and no need to Rip catfish biffs, their sauce is chronic

My favorite Columbus pizza is Sparanos.

My favorite Cleveland area pizza is Tasty's Pizza in Mayfield Heights, and I believe they have one in Garfield

I ate at the one that was located at Tourney Rd and Garfield Blvd all the time. Good pizza for the price back then.

Good Pizza does not come from a chain Pizza shop, just like good meals don't come from Micky D's.

Donato's is owned by Mcdonalds.

Not true anymore..

Donatos started out as a family owned business based in Columbus OHio.. It grew and grew, opened stores all over Columbus, spread to Cincy and Dayton as well.. Also, down in Kentucky.

Then McDonalds bought them and ruined them as far as I"m concerned.

After about 4 or 5 years, McDonalds ended up selling the business back to the original owners..

At this point, it really depends on which shop you go to.. The one in Twinsburg, Ohio is very good, but I went to the one on Van Aiken Blvd in Shaker Hts,, that wasn't so good.. Go figure. The one in Cuyahoga Falls is pretty good also.

Everytime our company holds a party, the girl in charge get Donatoes... everytime. And it's the same toppings... everytime. Of course, if I complain then she'll rope me into doing all the legwork, and I don't want to do that. Needless to say, I end up eating something else. Donatoes does nothing for me.

As far as chains go, I actually like Papa Johns and East of Chicago quite a bit. Gionino's is also really good, except you don't get quite as much for your $$$.

Ammo, since you're from Chesterland, you probably remember Guido's. Now that was some great pizza. Could go for some of that right now.

Guidos...I LOVE their food, HATE their pizza. I'm friends with the owner's son (who's soon gonna take over the place).

Funny thing is, many people in that town agree.

Interesting, you don't even eat it if it's free? Even really bad pizza is still pretty good, IMO. The only pizza I have ever turned away in my entire life is Christie's taco pizza.... blech!

All this talk about Donatos, I've actually only had it once, and that was for an office party that I 'won' from a radio station. They brought enough for 25 people I think, and we bought extra to feed the whole place... 200 addition employees. I remember cutting a check for a little under $250. That included salads and everything. Seemed pretty reasonable to me! The have a sale now for $11 large pepperoni. Might have to give it another try.

Wasn't bad but I still prefer Casanno's or Marco's when it comes to chains. I heard that Marion's bought out Casanno's after the owner died...

I think a lot depends on what you order from Donato's. I've had (and enjoyed) a few of their specialty pizzas. Our favorite is the Mariachi Chicken pizza on a thin crust. Spicy and delicious, IMO. I've never particularly cared for their "regular" pizzas, however.

Hey, any east side dawgs remember a place called Loparo's in Mayfield Heights (I think it was in the same plaza as the Friday's)? I don't think it's there anymore. Anybody know if they are still around anywhere. Man that was great pizza.

anyone remember Master Pizza... they still have one store left on Mayfield right near Hillcrest.. maybe the best pizza on the planet.. Used to be a chain here. I think that at one time they had 4 or 5 stores... excellent pizza.

There used to be one in Chesterland too. I remember going there as a kid.

Then it burned down. Then it reopened in that new complex that took 10 years to fill up and it was never the same. Then Red Square opened there (which is a Russian mob place, not a real restaurant, if you order something from there they order out to give you the food), and now they're in Lyndhurst.

WHOAH WHOAH WOAH......Hold the phone....

You have an Avalanche Pizza in Athens...One of the best pizza makers in the world (no lie...they have won several national and international awards) and you are wasting money on Donato's????

Dude, I knew you were messed up in the head a little but seriously....

If you are going to spend money on Pizza.....Avalanche is the way to go...If you aren't going to spend money...then yeah, go to the other cardboard shops....(when I was in school it was Pizza Pro....Large Pizza 2 toppings was like 4-6 bucks....lol)

I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...

My wife and I just had Guidos in downtown Ravenna(right across from Portage COunty Courthouse) for luch, good stuff for sure.

When we lived up in Westpark area there used to be a East of CHicago that had a pizza buffet for $3. What was cool about it was we went in there often so they would ask us what we wanted and put it out on the buffet.

Honestly, the best pizza I've had here is either Goodfellas or Courtside.

And they're both cheap.

I was down in Athens visiting friends once and had Goodfellas. That stuff was the BOMB. Great pizza.

As far as pizza goes, Wedgewood here in Austintown is great. I don't know about recently, but I know it's won awards before.
